Arthur
Chris was helping us prepare the house for mother's day. Tom was able to get her out of the house. Chris was obviously jealous because... They don't talk about it, but Emily and Chris have grown closer than friends, but far from lovers. Emily seems to be happy with Tom, but that sparkle in her eyes is for Chris. All of us can see that. "Dad." Kier called as we filled the vase in the living room with roses. Emily loves red roses more than white ones. "Yeah?" Chris asked as he filled the base with some water. "Why'd you let mother go?" Kieren asked. I froze remembering that day he told us to leave. "Don't you already know?" Chris asked laying the vase on the table. "Well, I heard Uncle Sebby talk about it, but I want to here it from you." He replied fixing the pillows. I continue to clean the pictures, waiting for Chris's reply. Is he gonna sugar coat it?
"Kieren, I left Emily for her safety and yours. The woman threatening us will stop at nothing to see your mother turn to dust because she took me away from her." Chris replied fixing the shelf. "Really? I thought you liked Minka." Kieren said frowning. "I don't wike her. I... I used to, but your mother came." He replied smiling. "Wike her? What are you, three?" I asked raising a brow. "Art, you're Emily is showing." He teased. "Shut up and answer him, Chris." I replied carrying Naomi in my arms. "Alright, calm down. I love your mother more than anything, Kieren. I love her enough to let her go." He replied carrying him.
"That's all of the fixing. Go to your rooms. I still have to cook. Art will wake you up when Emily comes." Chris said putting Kieren down and I put Naomi down. They ran and walked up the stairs. "They matured to fast." Chris commented as we started to cook dinner. "Yeah well you kinda caused that." I replied helping him chop some vegetables. He chuckled bitterly. "Yeah, I guess it is." He replied and we fell into silence until we finished dinner just in time for the doorbell to ring. "I better get that." I said getting off the stool and walked towards the door. I opened it to find Emily looking a tad bit sad, but it disappeared as quickly as I noticed it. "Hey, Arthur! I missed you!" She exclaimed hugging me tightly.
"What happened?" I whispered hugging her back tightly. "Tom... Tom said he need time to think about what our relationship really was... He said that he needed time away... Art, I don't know what I did." She whispered sobbing silently. "I think he knows you kissed Chris lots of times during Christmas, New Year, a little on Valentine's Day, and I think he knows you love him more." I replied patting her back. She hugged tighter. "Mom, I love you. I'll always be here when you need a bodyguard, an escort, a teddy bear, a maid, and most especially, a son." I whispered kissing her cheek. She smiled and pulled away. "Arthur, I love you so much." She whispered wiping her tears. I got a small box out of my pocket. "Mom, I know you aren't that much into silver or gold anything, but I want to give you this." I said handing her the box. I raised a brow and took it from me. She shook it a little.
"Arthur Stan, what's in this?" She asked raising a brow. "Open it." I replied closing the door behind her. I smiled and opened the box. She gasped and covered her mouth. "W-Where did you find this?!" She asked as a fresh new wave of tears came down. It was her promise ring from Chris that she threw at the floor one valentine day after they broke up. It was a small sapphire, gold butterfly ring. "Let's just say I found it somewhere over the rainbow." I replied smiling. She laughed and sniffed. "Would you mind?" She asked handing me the box I smiled and took the necklace, ring, out of the box and hooked it around her neck. Chris appeared by the doorway towards the kitchen. "It's beautiful, Arthur, thank you. I've been looking for years for this." She exclaimed admiring it. Chris looked stunned. "Really? Why is that?" I asked knowing the answer, but wanting Chris to hear it. "Arthur, you know the answer." She replied blushing. "Yeah? Well, I want to hear it again." I replied grinning. She smiled and looked at me. "Because the day he gave me this ring was the day he promised to never ever leave me and we shared our first night together." She replied blushing crimson. Chris couldn't believe what he heard, but cleared his throat. "Chris! How long have you been standing there!?" She asked frowning. I motioned for him to lie.
"I just came in. We can eat dinner now. I'll uhhh, call the twins." He replied smiling and walking towards the stairs. I'm not letting you two go off the hook. "Ah, ah, I'll go call them. You guys stay right here." I said skipping steps up and ran towards our room. "Did you guys hear it?" I asked closing the door behind me. "Yes!" Naomi exclaimed going out the secret passage, followed by Kieren. Kieren was smiling. "Fine, you win, Art. Geez, I didn't even realize I was trying to make myself believe my own lie until now." He replied shaking his head. "Let's leave them be for a bit, yeah?" I asked sitting in front of our console. "Fine, I'm hungry though." Naomi said plopping beside me and taking the other control. "Damn it, I wanted to play." Kieren said frowning. "Here, play. I'm gonna read. Not to loud, alright?" I asked handing him the controller. He grinned and they nodded. I walked towards our shelf and got a random book. Have fun, Mother Dear.
Emily
Arthur! "So uhm... how was your day?" He asked as we just stood there looking at each other. "It was great..." I trailed off remembering what Tom said, but Chris pulled me out of that by hugging me towards him. "Happy mother's day, Emily." He whispered hooking something on my wrist. We pulled away and I saw a black, red, and white bracelet. "Chris..." I trailed off feeling tears in my eyes. "Hey, hey. Don't cry. You should be happy, it's your day after all." He said smiling. I smiled hugging him. He tilted my head up as I looked into his eyes. "Best friends can kiss, right?" He asked caressing my cheek. I smiled closing my eyes. He captured his lips in mine. It was thrilling and I was happy, truly happy. This is the best mother's day gift I could ever have. He pulled me closer licking my lips. I smiled letting our tongues dance and letting him explore. We pulled away with a full blown kiss. "Most intense one we had ever since I gave you this." He whispered trailing a finger down my neck to get the necklace Arthur gave. I blushed looking down. "I know." I replied leaning on him. He kissed my head and smoothened my hair.
We stayed like that for about five minutes then Chris decided to pull away. "We should call the kids." He said taking my hand in his. "We're acting like a couple." I said out of the blue. "I know." He replied kissing the top of my hand. I blushed looking away as we neared the room of the kids. We could hear Naomi and Kieren cussing at the tv. I had wide eyes and raised a brow at Chris who looked guilty. "I may have said a thing or two while you were away on your dates and interviews." He replied refusing to look at me. I smiled kissing his cheek. He blushed as I opened the door of their room. "Shit! Mom! Crap, sorry!" Kieren cussed putting the controller down. "Shit." Naomi mumbled under her breath. "Swear jar, now." I ordered as Arthur calmly closed his book. Both twins ran towards the jar outside. "Well?" I asked raising a brow. "Well, that escalated fast. Look at you." He said smirking. "Art, don't tease her." Chris said smiling. "Alright, alright. Looks like she got the best mother's day gift ever." Arthur commented standing up. I rolled my eyes as we all walked down towards the dinning hall. "I promised mom I'd Skype with her. You guys go ahead." I said pulling away from Chris's grip. I quickly got the laptop from my room.

I raised and brow and went to the door. I opened it to see almost all of my closest friends. Jensen and Jared with their wives, James and Michael, Robert Downey Jr, Ris, and Jeremy with their wives. Scarlett with her husband and Benedict and Sophie. "Ems, sorry to come on short notice, but we all ended up here. Promise, we didn't plan this. Everyone of us came her in our own." Jensen explained grinning. "Paparazzi followed you?" I asked raising a brow. "Sadly, yes." Sebastian said behind everyone with Alana. I grinned letting them all in. "Happy mother's day." Sebby exclaimed hugging me. "Thanks." I said hugging him back. "Did you greet mom already?" I asked as we pulled away and I opened the laptop. "Well, not quite yet." He replied as we reached the living room. "What the hell is he doing here?" Jensen asked glaring at Chris who didn't look intimidated at all. "His mom told him to stay with us, but since Ems had a house I decided he should stay here rather than with Alana and I in the apartment." Seb replied for me. I smiled thankfully. "Chewisy!" Naomi exclaimed as she saw Ris. "Hey, mimi!" He exclaimed in a squeaky voice. His wife smiled at them. "Arthur! Damn, you grow so fast." Robert commented as Arthur smiled.
"You're adorable." Gen said pinching my cheek. "How am I adorable?" I asked as Daneel joined pinching my cheek. "Look at your eyes and the way you treat all of us, so motherly childish." Scarlett commented. I frowned and they smiled brighter. "Chris! Come here." Scarlett called as he emerged from the kitchen. "Yeah?" He asked walking towards us with a hand towel. I smiled as the two continued to pinch my cheeks. "What do you think makes Emily adorable?" Scarlett asked as she gently removed the hands on my cheeks. Chris raised a brow, but examined me. I felt a little violated so I crossed my arms in front of my chest. He took my face in his hand gently and caressed my cheek. "What makes Emily so adorable are her dimples when she smiles, her freckles, her child-like actions when she's angry, the way she tries to be so gentle with her twins and how maturely she treats Arthur, the way her eyes sparkle when when she sees Tom approaching her, and lastly, how she blushes crimson instantly after she gets teased." He replied wrapping both hands around my face and wiping the tears I didn't realize were falling. I'm not crying because I feel guilty about cheating on Tom, not really, I was crying because he noticed all that despite us not being in good in terms in the past. He stopped wiping my tears I noticed the whole room go silent. I frowned blinking. We looked around to see everyone watching is.
"Did you see and feel that?" James asked as Michael kissed his hand. "The way he looks at her and the way she looks at him?" Michael asked staring into James's eyes. "You'd think they're the couple." Alana said wiping some tears. Sebby hugged her from behind and smirked at me. "You are an amazing girl, I'm honored to have you as my sister." He said grinning. I smiled as Chris hugged me towards him. "What are you doing?" I asked raising a brow. "Giving you friendly hug... I really want to kiss you right now." He whispered smiling. I blushed hitting his chest. He chuckled and pulled away. "Foods ready in the dinning room." He announced as Sebastian handed me the laptop.
"Honey!
Mom! Dad! Bradley? How the ell are you guys together?
Well, as you can see we're in his house. We just dropped by to see how he is. He looks extremely fine, better even. I think it's because Brianna came into his life.
Mom!
Aw, is Bradley embarrassed?
Shut up, Emily.
Bradley how many times do we have to tell you not to use that phrase?!
Sorry.
That's right. Anyway, Happy Mother's day, mom!
Oh! Thank you, dear.
Hi Mrs. S!
Chris! What are you doing there!?
We let him stay here for his safety.
Yeah? Why's that, Sebastian?
Stop acting coldly towards him, dad. You know you're fond of the boy.
And so are you.
...
And she stays quiet.
Hey, hey, stop it. It's mother's day. Let's just spend the rest of the day together." Chris said patting my head.
I raised a brow, but grinned. We all sat by the table and chatted until Mom had to go. Everyone left except Sebby and Alana who ended up staying in their room. The children went for bed early, leaving Chris and I alone again. "Emily." He called after I finished washing the dishes. "Yeah?" I asked drying my hands. "You owe me a kiss." He replied wrapping an arm around my waist. I gasped truing to pull away. "Pervert! Let me go!" I exclaimed trying my hardest to pull away. He chuckled holding me closer. "Just let me hug you, please. I want as much memories with you as I much as I can." He replied burying his head on my shoulder. I smiled sighing in defeat. We stayed like that most of the night and told each other stories from the past.
"I'll see you tomorrow." Chris said carrying me bridal style up the stairs. "Of course, your four months here isn't going away soon." I replied smiling. He put me down in front of my door. "Best friends can kiss, right?" He asked keeping his hands on my waist. I rolled my eyes and blushed. I nodded and he pecked my lips. "Goodnight, shorty." He whispered kissing my head and pulling away. I looked down as we went to sleep. I grinned as I went in the room and plopped on the bed.
Cheating is bad, but it's mother's day and he didn't call or greet me. I hope I get to make Alfredo tomorrow.
