Angel

Maka walked back and forth in her bedroom. Soul was going to be so mad. Would he leave her? Would he say he doesn't want her anymore? Tears brimmed Maka's eyes as she glanced at the pink stick. It was already settled. She was only 23! What was Soul going to say? The pair were still having fun together and going out drinking and parting. They also went on missions together, even though Soul was a Death Scythe. The couple had been together for years and not once have they held a secret from each other. Could she hide this? They recently just got married, maybe a month ago.

Soul walked through their small apartment door yelling, "I'm home!" There was a loud bang and a scream. Soul dropped his bag and rushed to his and Maka's room. "Maka?!" He screamed, concerned.

When Maka heard Soul enter she threw the pink stick at the trash bin but ended up knocking it over, causing Maka to scream in frustration. When Soul entered she had just enough time to scoot over and push all the stuff from the trash in the corner with her foot. "Hey, Soul." She giggled nervously.

"What happened? I heard you scream."

"Oh...that? I just," she paused thinking of an excuse, "was working out! Yeah! Gotta scream to let out that frustration." She kicked the trash over to the corner again. Soul didn't look like he believed the story. He walked over to Maka and moved her out of the way. "Wait, Soul."

"Did you knock over the trash? Sloppy pig." He cursed. He picked up the trash and threw it in the bucket, not noticing the pink stick which was embedded in a napkin. He picked himself up and looked at her with lazy eyes. "Now tell me what really happen."

"Oh, you caught me." She giggled nervously. "I was gonna take you out for dinner but the surprise was ruined, darn."

"We can still go." He told her while grabbing his keys. "Do you want to still go? What did you have in mind?"

"Um lets go to that coffee shop, they have the best sandwiches." Maka smirked to herself, I can still hide this. I just need the right time to tell him. He's been so caught up with work it's not the right time to tell him.

The couple returned home after a long and sweet evening. They had dined on the best sandwiches in town and relaxed at the park. The only thing bothering them was the awkward tension in the air. Maka would fidget or pull back whenever Soul got close.

"So, what's bothering you?" Soul looked at her as he set down his car keys. Maka couldn't meet his eyes, she continued to move from object to object around the room. "You can tell me these things." He gripped her shoulders causing her to squeak. "We're not only partners but," he leaned in close, "your also my wife." He kissed her sweetly, melting into the romantic gesture to get her to open up. He tugged on her lip when they pulled apart. "Does it have something to do with you trying to hide something in the trash earlier." Soul knew he got her, she turned away from him.

"N-no."

"Then what is it, Maka." He leaned her against the wall. "I'll give you-" She slipped past him and ran into the room. The anxious blonde slammed the door shut and locked it.

"Maka?" Soul asked angrily. "I'm not in the mood for these games." She didn't hear him, she was to busy trying to find the stick and attempt to throw it out the window. Before she knew it Soul had sliced down the door and picked her up.

"Maka, what the hell is wrong with you?" She flailed in his arms, screaming and kicking. The pair fell over and fought on the floor. Each of them kept getting on top of the other and throwing light punches and kicks, mostly Maka. Maka finally calmed down and cried on top of Soul. Maka laid on Soul as she let out her frustration. The weapon played with his miester's hair as she cried.

"Shh, it's okay, your fine." They laid together before Soul gently lifted himself, taking Maka with him. He stood up and pulled her with him. "Now," he made her face him, "tell me what's happened?"

"I-it wasn't the r-right time." She stuttered as she tried to suppress her sobs. She let go of him and walked over to the bin. She searched, and glanced at Soul every once in a while, until she found it. Maka hid the stick behind her back and slowly walked over to Soul. The ivory haired boy made sure he looked like he was patient, but he was almost about to rip what ever was behind her back apart. He raised an eyebrow when she made no attempt to move. When she finally did, she thrust a pink stick towards him. A stick? Soul didn't get it at first, he starred at her confused.

Maka waited patiently as she held the object in front of her. She started to get nervous when he didn't move. After about a good minute she was swept off her feet and flung in the air.

"I'm going to be a father?" She looked at her with hope in his eyes. She had fresh tears and nodded her head. "I'm going to be a father!"

"Hey, morning, sunshine." He murmured into her hair. She kissed the top of her head before getting hit in the jaw with her beautiful head. Maka ran to the bathroom and there was the lovely sound of something splashing into the toilet. "Ah, morning sickness." He chuckled to himself.

"Shut up and get in here to help me!" Shouted a annoyed Maka.

Maka turned over as she felt a strange urge to eat pancakes. Not just any pancakes, Soul's. She turned over in her bed and starred at her husband. His hair was spikier then normal and his mouth was slightly open. He let out small breaths and she had to resist the urge to suffocate him with a kiss. She shook him slightly. "Soul? Soul?"

"Eh? What happened?" He woke up and threw himself up. "Are you hurt?" He scratched the back of his neck and yawned.

"I need you to make me pancakes."

"What?" He yawned again and closed his eyes.

"I need pancakes." She leaned in close to him. She crossed her arms over her stomach and glared at him. Soul eyes were now wide with fear of his wife.

"Love, its," he looked at the clock, "3 in the morning. We went to bed only hours ago-"

"Now." She stated flatly.

"W-whatever you want." He scrambled out of the bed and headed to the kitchen. He scratched just above his boxers and washed his hands before starting the stove. He poured in the pre-made mix and stirred for a bit. He decided to get creative and flipped the pancakes. He started shuffling and turned around while trying to catch the air born pancake.

"What are you doing?" Maka asked from the corner of the kitchen, leaning on the wall. Soul snapped his head around causing the air born pancake to land on his puffy hair. Maka giggled slightly and took the pancake off his head. She threw the pancake on a plate, deciding to give it to Blair, she visited every once in a while.

The partners finished their pancakes minutes later and walked back upstairs. They crawled into bed and snuggled into each other.

"Thank you, Soul." She mumbled into his chest.

"Anytime, Love."

"Maka please stop crying." Soul pleaded.

"No, no, no!"

"Maka..." Soul hurried to the house phone as she wailed on their bed. He dialed the only number he knew would help.

"Please, please pick up." More wailing was heard. There was the slight ringing till a cheerful voice answered. "Shadow? Put your mommy on the phone."

A, "Alright Uncle Soul!" was heard on the other line. Soul tapped his foot on the carpet.

"Tsubaki? Thank goodness, its Maka."

Tsubaki arrived 10 minutes later with Shadow, their daughter, on her arm. Black*Star stomped in plopping on the couch.

"What is it Soul-kun?"

"I'm afraid its-" A cry was heard from upstairs. There was a bunch of loud footsteps then the beauty herself emerged from the stairs. She held her now round stomach and wiped her eye with the other hand.

"H-he called me fat." She laid down on the stairs and cried again. Everyone turned to me.

"hormones." I finished what I tried to say earlier. Tsubaki hit me on the head slightly and scolded me. "Chill, chill. I didn't call her fat, i just said she had grown a little."

"Fat!"

Maka screamed in pain as her baby had finally come out. She had been in the hospital for hours waiting for that stu-beautiful baby to come out.

"Alright." Stein carried the baby to Nigus who started her inspection. Soul rubbed Maka's hand as he kissed her forehead.

"You did it, Love." She gave him a shaky breathe as she rested on the pillows.

They waited a minute before Nigus came back with a small pink blanket. Maka teared up as Nigus set the girl in Maka's arms.

"Soul..." Soul and Maka both starred at the little girl. She's our little angel.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Soul! Angel got an A in math today." Maka called for her husband. Said husband emerged from his office and out to his girls.
"You did?" He asked her playfully. Angel looked up at him and giggled.
"Daddy, i'm 8! I'm not a little girl." Soul chuckled and picked her up. Maka joined the hug as Angel wrapped her arm around her mothers neck.
