Maka's green eyes grew a bit larger as they darted across the page. She had recently checked out a 'fun-read' from the library: The Big Book of Big Cat Facts.
Soul and Maka, only being 12 and 13 years of age, where not allowed to take missions outside of civilization. So they, unfortunately, have not seen a wild animal as magnificent as the ones written in this book.
She glanced at Soul. His hips where swaying lightly along with the beat from his head phones. He folded clothes from a little white basket before placing them into separate piles.
Maka glanced back at her book, half a tiger's face stares back. She looked at Soul, then at the tiger, back at Soul, and at the tiger. A grin spread wickedly across her face before the book was dropped on the cushion next to her.
Not having to worry about being quiet  she dashed to the kitchen. Her weapon had excellent senses, so she had to be quick to avoid being seen.

She silently thanked the heavens for blessing her with such a tiny body as she slipped behind the refrigerator hiding just out sight from him.

She had ducked a bit behind the appliance when he turned to place one pile in the basket. It was his! Yes! He had to walk past the kitchen to get to his room. Maka waited for him to walk by, she waited for just the right moment.

He felt her muscles bunch with anticipation. Her toes wiggled and clenched on the hard tile floor. She watched with a predatory glint as the weapon scoped up the basket, pivoting on one foot before making his way past her. It was as if time slowed: right when he was in perfect view, she lunged, arcing herself perfectly to square on his shoulder.

A Lion's roar can be heard over 5 miles away

Her battle cry pierced the low jazz from his headphones. Soul turned just in time to see his miester barrel into him, successfully knocking him off his feet. Clothes flew everywhere as his music player and headphones landed across the room. He couldn't even get out a sound before they both landed on the wood floor of the living room with a late thud. Maka sat straddled on a dazed Soul pumping her fists in the air proclaiming her brilliant capture. Clothes fluttered over the partner pair. Soul gazed up at his miester, smiling fondly as she told him how she used all the skill as the feline hunters.
"And I got you! And you didn't even see it coming!"
Normally, he would deadpan that yes, he didn't notice her dash behind the fridge and her fat ankles vibrated the floor as she ran. But... Who was he to take away such a pretty smile?
"Yeah, you got me."
The clothes that now covered him where deliciously warm causing him to yawn. Maka watched the movement of his jaw and the reveal of pointed teeth.

Maka smiled happily at her weapons tired face. She carefully got off him before making her way to the rest of the folded laundry. As hoped, her fluffy blanket laid neat folded. Maka took it (happily reveling in the intense warmth) and brought it back over to the pile of clothes and weapon. The miester curled into her weapons side after spreading the blanket over the two of them.

Tigers tend to sleep around 16 hours a day

They yawned once more before drifting off into a happy slumber.
