Zach, Vi, and I enter O'Hilda Toy Barn. "C'mon," I say. "We need those tickets." I run up to the nearest checkout counter. Thankfully, there's no line. "How do I get tickets to meet Dolly?"

"You must buy a Dolly toy, but hurry, there are only two left." The lady says.

"Ugh, we'll take both. Vi, go grab the dolls. Run! Zach, your wallet." He hands me a fifty dollar bill.

"Here," Vi says, out of breath with two dolls.

"Quick." I give the cashier the dolls and the money.

"Thank you for shopping at O'Hilda's. Here are your limited edition Dolly dolls, and two tickets to tomorrow's meet and greet."

"Thanks," I say, grabbing the bag. "Wait, I have a question. Is there any relation to Rhonda O'Hilda?"

"Yes, actually. Our brilliant founder and head toy maker is Carl O'Hilda, her husband."

"What? Thank you." I drag Vi and Zach over to the side of the store. "Do either of you know who Ronda O'Hilda is?"

"Isn't she some mystery writer?" Vi asks.

"I am liking you more and more. Yes. She wrote the Kelly Cramer series. And, she was a friend of my parents. I got it now!"

"Katrina Baker?" A woman asks behind me. I freeze and slowly turn around.

"Ms. Rhonda, hi, it's been so long!" I try to put on a brave face.

"Katie, I'm so sorry to hear about your parents." Um, you killed them. "They were such great friends of mine. I just saw them last week at the conference." I try and hold back tears. "Oh, honey." She pulls me in for a hug. The dam breaks, and the tears fall. "I see you bought some dolls!" She lets go.

"Ugh, yeah. Um, one's for my friend's sister. She loves this store." Don't let her know! "And one's for me. Anything I can do to help you and Ms. Atkins." Ms. Atkins! She's sponsoring them! What does she have to do with this! Is she helping?"

"Thank you so much. Well, I will let you guys free. Stay strong Katie."

"Thanks." She walks away. "Run!"
