Solstice Hearts, Rhode Island

Known as a glistening and glimmering seaside town with a cosmopolitan feel that's located minutes from Providence and Newport; there is something for everyone to enjoy and discover: a weekend getaway, a seasonal escapade, or even an afternoon adventure. But for many who choose to move to town, they seek for something much deeper and more personal: a second chance to rebuild one's life a new beginning, or maybe even find love with someone by either a chance encounter made long ago or a spontaneous whirlwind of passion. For the town residents, there are various neighborhoods ranging from gated communities with stately homes and mansions to simple and humble homes. But there are also secrets, scandals, and hidden stories that lie within the shadows. And for the outsiders looking in, all the citizens of Solstice Hearts know that all eyes would be on them and they would choose to live their lives with some having more grace than others.

Tyler Candler and Jamal Oglethorpe would soon arrive in Solstice Hearts looking to rebuild their lives after the murder investigation of Derrick Booker and losing their families. Once they arrive, their stories of healing, redemption, and hope are interwoven with the encounters of Cameron Suarez-Rice and Franklin Romero (two of the main founders of Pacifica West Menswear) alongside their friends and families. Their journeys will not be without some trials and challenges that they will face along the way, but they and those who will cross their paths will soon discover modern sensuality, Americana glory, and maybe a bit of oceanside wonder.

So, here we are, boys and girls! I wanted to go ahead and have both Jamal Oglethorpe (the inspiration behind The Winter Lady painting and evening gown that the late Derrick Booker created) and Tyler Candler (Jana's gay best friend who was betrayed in the worst way) find their second chance of happiness and love. And I have MAJOR plans for them with two love interests (one of each of them) and a story of healing, life, and finding their own voices to love themselves. There's going to be some old faces as well as new ones, so prepare yourselves.

As this is a spinoff project of "The Beautifully Damned and the Eternally Blessed (my murder mystery novel)," it would help if you guys read that story so you know what happened and how Jamal was affected.
