Izuku and Edgeshot arrived to a disaster.

The heroes, not knowing that Izuku was on his way, decided to brave the gate themselves.

The gate had been breached. This had only happened to Izuku once before, when he failed to beat a gate that was too high a level. Izuku left the dungeon and did some level grinding in a weaker gate.

The strong gate let the monsters out after 24 hours. This was an S rank at least, so it probably opened much sooner.

  Izuku leapt from Kaisel's back, landing among a group of large bug type monsters.

  *Hard shells, tough legs. Strong mandibles, but scuttle close to the ground.. their weakpoint is below.*

  "Domain of the monarch. Come out."

  A shadow swept across the island, and beneath every bug on the surface a weapon held by a pitch black arm thrust from the ground, stabbing through their weaker undersides and killing them.

  "Igris, stay with me. You and your squad do 'cleanup' around here. Everyone else spread out in your groups, aid any heroes you can find. Iron, locate the gate and the boss, if you can. Dragons, provide aerial support. They were just the advance squad. More ants will start crawling from below soon enough. Kaisel, search for heroes from above, take them onto your back and keep them away from the ants at all costs."

  The knights, bears, elves and dragons alike bowed, all moving away to do their master's bidding.

  Edgeshot landed beside Izuku, looking around in awe at his army.

  "I've never seen a quirk like this before.." he muttered.

  Izuku smiled, watching Igris and his squad work.

  "It is quite unique, but also extremely dangerous. It is unknown why these gates are appearing suddenly around the world. I think it might be my quirk causing them."

  They were interrupted when Izuku perked up, watching his MP shoot down.

  "Iron has probably located the boss, or at least the portal the hordes are coming from."

  An elvish squad returned to Izuku, leading a group of heroes to safety.

  A tall man in a bright blue bodysuit stepped forwards.

  "Thank you for coming to aid us. I'm afraid the entire operation has become a mess. HQ is over the ridge back there, trying to figure out how many heroes are still out there."

  He pointed behind the shadowy Knight, to the shoreside.

  Izuku nodded, looking back towards the mountain.

  "Does anyone have an earpiece? I'd like to speak with HQ." He asked.

  The man in the jumpsuit nodded, reaching into his own ear and handing Izuku his earpiece.

  Izuku put it on, tapping it.

  "Hello. This is the hero in training Monarch. Edgeshot and I have arrived to help. How many heroes are left alive, and where?"

  The earpiece crackled for a moment, before he received a reply.

  "Monarch? You're the one from the sports festival, who knows all about these gates, right?" The man asked.

  "Yes, that would be me."

  The man sighed in relief.

  "As far as we know, according to Nezu's estimates that were given to every hero and agency, this is at least an S class gate. There are 63 heroes left around the rest of the island, however 59 of those heroes have been found by your soldiers. Only 4 heroes remain unaccounted for, within the depths of the mountain, where the gate was supposed to be."

  Izuku frowned. The boss was most likely there, behind all of it's footsoldiers, the final enemy.

  "Which heroes are there?" Izuku asked.

  "Keyaru the healing hero, Kamui woods, Rock Lock and Death arms." He replied.

  Izuku gave him his thanks and then melted into his shadow, replacing one of Iron's soldiers.

  The moment he appeared within the cavern, Izuku attacked the ant swarm. He pounded his gauntlets into the soft underbellies of the ants, throwing them away from the group of heroes.

  "Is everyone alright?" He asked.

  Kamui woods shook his head.

  "Keyaru is down, and Rock Lock is badly hurt. The bipedal ant is stupendously strong, be careful!" He said.

  Izuku's soldiers were able to hold back the army of ants. A tall, black ant stepped forwards, walking upright on two legs. It was humanoid, with long clawed arms.

  "You humans dare attack our nest?" It rattled.

  Izuku wordlessly gestured at the ant leader. Igris drew his sword, lunging forwards.

  Izuku watched with grim satisfaction as Igris quickly and efficiently slaughtered the ant leader. It was fast, but that was nothing compared to Igris' technique and strength.

  "My king." Igris kneeled, placing the corpse before Izuku.

  Izuku raised his gauntleted hand, his eyes shining viridian.

  "Arise."

  The rest of the ant army was swiftly defeated by their own commander. Izuku's newest shadow Beru, slaughtered his own kind with swift ease.

  The ant corpses were brought to Izuku, who took every shadow he could. Commander Beru was put in charge of every ant unit.

  "Thank you Monarch. We probably wouldn't have been able to stop them without your help.." Kamui woods said.

  Izuku just nodded, summoning Kaisel.

  "Beru! Help with the cleanup here. Once you are no longer needed here, return to me in Japan." He ordered.

  "As you command my king." The ant hissed.

  Edgeshot joined Izuku on Kaisel's back, and they flew up into the air, back to UA.
