Chapter Fifty-Three
guess whose on season 14 now... *sobs violently*
Jenny hummed to the music playing in her headphones as she and Sam walked out of the library, Dean approaching them. "You guys find anything?" He asked, looking to Jenny, who wasn't paying attention.
Sam nudged the woman, who turned off the music. "Sorry. What did you say?" She raised her brows as Dean shook his head. Sam cleared his throat.
"No. We didn't find anything. Well, we couldn't find a Mordechai but I did find a Martin Murdock who lived in that house in the '30s. He did have children but only two of them, both boys, and there's no evidence he ever killed anyone." Sam spoke, Jenny scrambling with the wires of her headphones.
"Jesus, it would be so much easier if wires didn't exist." She complained, knotting the headphones up and shoved them in her bag. "Anyways... What about you?"
The three started to walk back to the Impala, Jenny slowly picking up her pace. Sam eyed her suspiciously before rushing to the passenger side, Jenny hurling herself at the car.
"Aw come on. You had front in the way here." Sam complained as Jenny turned to him with a smile.
"With long legs like those I thought you'd be faster." Jenny joked as Sam rolled his eyes.
"Yeah. Okay. Those kids didn't really give us a clear description of that dead girl but I did hit up the police station. No matching missing persons. It's like she never existed." Dean started and Jenny and Sam turned back to him. "Dude, come on, we did our digging, man, this one's a bust all right. For all we know those hellHound boys made up the whole thing."
"Well if that's the case. I would love to hit up a bar and drink until i'm old and wrinkly." Jenny smiled, looking over to Sam as Dean got in the car. The two slowly leaned down with grins on their faces, watching as Dean turned on the ignition.
Loud Latino music started to play from the speakers, startling Dean as his eyes widened. He went to turn it off, but instead he turned on the windshield wipers. Jenny and Sam laughed, high-giving one another as they got into the car. Dean slowly turned to Jenny with a glare.
"Sam's idea. I'm just the daughter of a mechanic." She grinned as Dean turned to look at Sam, who stuck a finger up in the air, marking an Imaginary one.
"That's all you guys got? Weak. That's bush league." Dean commented as Jenny raised her brows.
"Really?" Jenny turned to look at Sam, who shrugged. "Well, you'll be in for a real treat." Dean gave her a suspicious look and drove away from the library.

Jenny, Sam and Dean all stood outside of the HellHouse, Jenny turning away as a light flashed in her face. "Jesus, watch where you point that." She complained, seeing a coroner wheel a body bag into the back of his van.
"I think we missed something." Dean said quietly as Sam and Jenny nodded in agreement.
A few hours later, the trio were behind the fenced off house, peering through the gate loops. "Gotta love cops." Jenny whispered, looking at the squad car parked in front of the house.
"Guess they don't want anymore suicides." Sam stated the obvious. Jenny turned her head at a loud clang, groaning in annoyance.
"You've got to be fucking kidding." She grumbled. Sam and Dean looked to where she was glaring, both copying her expression as they saw Ed and Harry.
"Hold on. I have an idea." Dean spoke, rising and cupping his hands over his mouth. "Who you gonna call!?" He yelled before ducking again. Ed and Harry looked their direction, the cops turning to where they heard Dean yell.
But instead of spotting the trio, the cops spotted the duo, since their loud gadgets and lights were easy to spot in the dark. Ed and Harry broke into a slow sprint as the cops chased after them, the hunting trio laughing.
"All right. Let's hurry this shit up before—" Dean and Sam both grabbed Jenny. "Are you kidding me? Wouldn't it have been easier to leave me at the motel?" She snapped, the two brothers sharing a look.
"We were just going to tell you to be careful..." Sam mumbled and Jenny groaned.
"Guys. I can handle myself. See, unlike dumb and dumber over there... We're professionals." Jenny picked up her crowbar she had left on the ground, hopping over the fence.
Once the three had made it inside the Hellhouse, Jenny paused, feeling a rush of blood hit her head. "Oh boy." She groaned, rubbing her temple.
"Jen?" Dean whispered as she shook her head.
"I'm fine. Alright, what now?" Sam handed Jenny a rifle, shoving her crowbar in the bag. Dean walked a few paces ahead, aiming his flashlight at a symbol.
"Where have I seen this symbol before? It's killing me!" He complained, Jenny looking over at the symbol with a frown.
The three slowly made their way to the basement, Jenny pausing as the unsettling feeling grew in her gut. She opened her mouth to speak, slowly closing it as Sam and Dean started heading down the stairs. Jenny clicked her tongue, nodding before she joined them.
Dean aimed his flashlight at a shelf full of jars, picking one up for a closer look. The pale red liquid sloshed around, and he slowly turned to Sam with a cheeky grin.
"Hey, Sa. I dare you to take a swig of this." Sam paused, frowning at his brother.
"Why would I do that?"
A long pause.
"I double dare you." Sam rolled his eyes as Dean set the jar back down, wiping the dust onto Jenny, who slapped his hand away.
A noise from the cabinet alerted the three, Jenny raising her rifle quickly and slowly stalked forward. She reached for the cabinets handle, looking at Sam and Dean. At their nod, she ripped the door open, a rat running right over Dean's feet. He yelled, lifting his feet away.
"Dammit! I hate rats." He grumbled, aiming the flashlight at the rats to guide them away.
"You'd rather it was a ghost?" Sam raised his brows and Dean shrugged, nodding.
Jenny's eyes suddenly widened as she spotted Mordechai behind Sam. "Sam!" Jenny yelled, aiming the gun behind him. Sam spun around to see Mordechai raise his axe, jumping out of the way as Jenny shot him with rock salt. She frowned in confusion when Mordechai didn't most away, turning to Dean.
After shooting him a few more times, he finally disappeared. "What kinda fucking spirit is immune to rock salt?!" Dean yelled as Jenny shook her head.
"I don't know. I don't care. I'm bouncing." Jenny sprinted towards the stares, nearly tumbling backwards into Dean as Mordechai slammed his ace into the stairs. "Shit!" She yelled, grabbing her crowbar.
Mordechai slammed into the shelves and knocked them down onto Dean, going back to fight with Sam.
Jenny ran to the shelves, straining as she lifted them off of Dean. "Go!" She yelled, dropping the shelf as she and Dean ran back up the stairs, Sam following.
The three tumbled up the stairs, possibly creating the most noise they could and ran to the front door, bursting through it. Ed and Harry yelled in fear, Jenny slapping the camera away from her face. Ed then pointed it at Dean, who slapped it away.
"Get that damn thing out of my face!" He yelled as Sam shoved him and Jenny along.
"Go! Go!" The three went back to running as they heard the cops returning, jumping over the fence and back to the Impala.
Jenny collapsed into the back of the Impala, the three gasping for air and looked back at the house to see Ed and Harry getting dragged away by the cops.

Jenny flopped onto the motel bed, Dean following right after l, grabbing the notebook and pen on the nightstand. He rolled onto of Jenny, who then proceeded to put him in a loose chokehold.
"What the hell is this symbol? It's buggin' the hell outta me. This whole damn job's buggin' me. I thought the legend said Mordechai only goes after chicks." Jenny looked at the symbol Dean had drawn, tilting her head slightly.
"It does." Sam said as he looked through his laptop.
"All right. Well I mean that explains why he went after you, but Mordechai didn't even acknowledge Jen." Sam shot his brother a glare, faking a laugh.
"Hilarious. The legend also says he hung himself but did you see those slit wrists?" Dean and Jenny nodded. "What's up with that? And the axe too. I mean, ghosts are usually pretty strict, right? Following the same patterns over and over?"
"It keeps changing." Jenny stated the obvious. Sam nodded, clicking away on his laptop.
"Exactly. I'm telling ya, the way the story goes ... wait a minute." Dean and Jenny looked at Sam, confusion on his face. "Someone added a new post to the Hell Hound site. Listen to this. 'They say Mordechai Murdock was really a Satanist who chopped up his victims with an axe before slitting his own wrists. Now he's imprisoned in the house for eternity." Dean looked back at the symbol on the paper, tapping it to get Jenny's attention.
"You recognize the symbol?" He asked, and she nodded.
"That's the Blue Öyster Cult symbol." She spoke, Dean frowning as he looked at it a bit harder. He suddenly sat up, Jenny breathing hard.
"Where the hell is this going?"
"I don't know but I think I might have just figured out where it all started."

The trio reentered the music shop and spotted Craig, sitting at the counter looking depressed.
"Hey Craig? Remember us?" Jenny spoke up, the boy turning to them and sighed loudly.
"Guys, look I'm really not in the mood to answer any of your questions ok?"
"Oh don't worry. We're just here to buy an album, that's all." Dean smiled, walking over to one of the aisles. Dean flicks through the albums, pulling one out.
"Tell me Craig, you, uh, you into BOC? Or just scaring the hell outta people? Now why 'n't you tell us about that house ... without lying through your ass this time." Dean asked as he tossed the album into the counter.
Craig looked between the three. Jenny smiled forcefully. "All right, um. My cousin Dana was on break from TCU. Ah, I guess we were just bored, looking for something to do. So I showed her this abandoned dump I found. We thought it would be funny if we made it look like it was haunted. So we painted symbols on the walls, some from some albums, some from some of Dana's theology textbooks. Then we found out this guy Murdock used to live there so we ...we made up some story to go along with that. So they told people, who told other people. And then these two guys put it on their stupid website. Everything just took on a life of its own. I mean I, I thought it was funny at first but... now that girl's dead! It was just a joke, you know. I mean, none of it was real, we made the whole thing up. I swear!"
the trio shared a look and Jenny sighed. "Alright." She spoke softly, turning to leave.
Dean suddenly paused, turning to his brother and girlfriend. "If none of it was real how the hell do you explain Mordechai?" Jenny thought for a moment, brows raised slowly as she came to a realization.
"Tulpa." She mumbled, walking out of the music shop. "Mordechai is a Tulpa."
"Tulpa?" Dean frowned.
"Tibetan thought form. Why am I even— you know what a damn Tulpa is." Jenny scoffed, hopping in the back of the Impala.

Dean walked back into the motel room, Jenny flipping through a small book on the bed. "Where did you go?" She asked, not looking up from the book.
"Oh. I went out." Dean answered, taking out a packet from his pocket. He grabbed a pair of Sam's underwear, dumping the contents into it with a grin.
"That what I think it is?" She asked, looking at the packet in Dean's hand. He nodded, tossing the packet in the trash as Sam emerged from the bathroom. Dean spun around, looking at his brother.
"Hey, get dressed. I want to grab something to eat." Dean rushed out of the motel room and Sam slowly turned to Jenny, who shrugged.
"I'm innocent." She smiled, clapping the book shut and joined Dean outside.
