"A little bit of sugar but lots of poison too."

"YOU know what I really miss about being home?" I questioned, looking to Oliver as I laid on my stomach on multiple seats inside the plane. "My bed."

"I don't know if I even remember what a bed feels like anymore," Oliver commented, a soft smile on his lips as he looked over at me.

"And you probably never will," I told him bluntly, letting out a sigh as I gazed down at my sweaty hands. "And neither will I." Memories of my little sister Izzy flashed through my mind.

"Sara... we're going to find a way off the island. Okay?" Oliver stumbled over his words as he removed himself from his seat and crouched down in front of me. "You just- just have to trust me."

I sighed, pushing myself up into a sitting position. "Last time I trusted you was right before the Gambit went down."

"I haven't had a chance to say this..." he trailed off, a sad look glistening in his eyes. "I'm sorry. I know this is my fault, and none of this would have happened if I hadn't invited you onto the boat with me."

"That's not exactly true," I spoke up. "I mean... I was the one who said yes, and it was only half because of your charm."

"And the other half?"

"Do you remember when you spilled that beer on me at Tommy's party?"

"No." He chuckled lightly. "But I never left one of Tommy's parties with my memory intact."

"Well, I wasn't even supposed to go, but I snuck out of the house because I knew you were going to be there. And I had this-" I laughed, finding it absolutely ridiculous now. "I had this embarrassing crush on you. And Laurel, she knew it, and that's why the party got broken up by the cops. She tipped off her dad. Then I was grounded for a month, and the next thing I knew... you and Laurel were together."

"You think she did all that on purpose?"

"Not everybody is what they seem."

"ANTHONY?" I questioned into the walkie talkie, venturing away from Oliver. "Are you there?"

"I'm here, Sara." I sucked in a breath. "I was hoping that you would reach out to me. Are you alone?"

"Yes." I exhaled, glancing around.

"Are you alright? You're not hurt, are you?"

"Do you even care?" I questioned, my tone harsh. "You were going to shoot me."

"No. No, Sara. I swear, you were never in danger, I swear," Ivo rushed out, his voice soft.

"So it's okay because you were just planning on murdering Shado?"

"Her name was Shado?"

"Yes, and you killed her, Anthony."

"And I'm going to have to live with that for the rest of my life. I never set out to hurt anyone. I started this quest to save people; to save the human race."

"I know."

"Sara. I know you think that this ship rescued you when you were stranded at sea." I gulped, remembering my days out at sea with no food, no water; nothing. "The truth is... you rescued me. But now the darkness, it's threatening me again. I need you, Sara. Please. Save me."

I turned around, my breathing becoming harsh. "When you first found me, I felt like you were my saviour, and letting me into your work, I felt like I was a part of something bigger," I admitted, watching the trees sway gently in the night breeze.

"You are, Sara."

"It was only because I didn't want to see what you were really doing. I mean, what you did to those people on the boat, and how you tortured them for science... how I was glad that I wasn't one of them, and then you started beating me, started touching me, started...." I choked back a sob, shuddering at the memory of his wandering hands; hands that weren't suppose to touch me the way they did. I glared at nothing in particular. "I'd rather be dead than keep being apart of this."

"You ungrateful bitch. You think you know what torture is? You have no idea. But I will show you. I am going to hunt you down. Both of you, and I will show-" I smirked, switching off the radio before turning around to face Oliver.

"Let's go find Slade."

"HE'S not here," I stated as Oliver and I walked into the cave. "Where else could he be? We already checked the plane."

"I don't know," Oliver breathed out. "Do you remember seeing these before?"

"I didn't really look around," I admitted, taking a look at the drawings he handed me.

"They look familiar."

"This could be Lian Yu."

"No, I mean the calculations. I've seen those before," Oliver told me, pursing his lips as he analysed the drawings.

"Maybe the first time you were in the cave," I suggested.

"I don't think so." Oliver made a noise in the back of his throat. "Fyer's launcher."

"What?"

"Oh, there were soldiers on the island last year, and they had a missile launcher. I saw one of these on the display. They're firing calculations..." he trailed off, his eyes widening in realisation before it turned into fear. "He's going to blow it up."

"Blow what up?"

Oliver exhaled. "The freighter."

"SLADE?"

I looked over at the missile launcher that was situated in the middle of the path. I pointed towards Slade with wide eyes. "Oliver..."

"Slade!" We both ran towards him.

"Get back!" Slade yelled in rage.

"We know you're targeting the boat."

"I'm going to send that son of a bitch to the bottom of the ocean," Slade seethed.

"You're going to destroy our only way off of the island!" I shouted, throwing my hands into the air.

"As long as Ivo is dead, that's fine."

"I can't let you do it."

Slade turned around and aimed a gun straight at Oliver who kneeled. "Get back, or so help me, I will put you down!"

"Think about Shado."

"I am..." Slade struggled with his words. "Thinking about her!"

"There's something I have to tell you about Shado. It's something you deserve to know." There was a slight pause. "She loved you, Slade. Maybe not the way that you wanted her to, but she loved you, and she wanted you to make it home. She wanted you to see Joe again. She wanted you to hug your son." Oliver slowly stood from the ground, keeping his eyes locked on Slade. "I know you're angry, and I know you want revenge. If you destroy Ivo's freighter, Shado will have died for nothing."

Slade sat on the back of the launcher and sobbed. The hand holding the gun was shaking. "What is happening to me?"

"I don't know." Oliver slowly sat beside him. "I am not going to let you go through it on your own."

"The man who killed Shado is still out there, and whether that freighter's on the bottom of the ocean or not, we're still stuck on this island," Slade spoke in defeat.

"Not for long." Oliver glanced over at me. "Because we're going to take the freighter."

"WE'RE never going to make it," I stated, watching Ivo's ship through binoculars. "Ivo has eight guards on deck at all times, all armed. The second they see us, we're dead."

"Assuming we can deal with Ivo's defences, how are we going to get close enough to board the ship?"

"Maybe we build a raft," Oliver suggested.

"It'll take us weeks to find the timber," I informed him, lowering the binoculars and sending him a look. "We don't have weeks."

"I've been on this island for 264 days, all I have is weeks," Slade whispered in anger.

"Shut up."

"You don't have to stick up for me, Ollie," I told Oliver, sending him another look.

"What? No, both of you shut up." I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion. "Listen. Do you hear that?"

The sound of an airplane approaching had us moving. We began running as we yelled. "Hey! Hey!"

"Hey! Hey, down here!"

"Help!"

Our shouts came to an abrupt end as the plane was shot, falling fast to ground.

"IVO'S freighter is located here." Slade pointed to the map as I mixed herbs together. "He keeps eight men on deck. Three on the starboard, three on the port and two up in the bridge, but our bigger concern are these GP 25 grenade launchers that they're walking around with at all times."

"Do they have night vision?"

"Not according to blondie." I scrunched my nose at the nickname.

"That smells awful," Oliver commented, his face scrunching up in disgust as he watched me mix different ingredients in a bowl.

"It'll taste even worse."

"But it'll work?"

"I spent a year with Anthony Ivo, I know how he thinks." I nodded. "It'll work."

"What is it exactly?"

"Cocculus indicus. It's a natural source of picrotoxin, which will counteract effects of barbiturates-"

"-Like sodium pentothal."

"Ivo's favorite."

OLIVER lit an arrow on fire and aimed it at the pile of wood that we had made on the beach. He drew back the string and fired, hitting the desired target. The pile of wood burst into flames, alerting Ivo's men.

"They're coming," I stated as two men in a boat approached the fire. "Two men, armed."

Oliver got in position and did what was needed. He got caught.

"THEY'RE clearing the decks." I watched the ship again through binoculars as a storm brewed above us. "The top of the ship's emptying."

"Are you ready?"

"You really don't want an honest answer to that." My nerves were getting the best of me. "But you've done this before, right?"

Slade grabbed ahold of me and we jumped off the cliff, a parachute deploying seconds later. I yelped. "Nobody's done this before!"

Not a minute later, we landed safely on the ship. Oliver rushed towards us. I handed him his bow and arrows with a grin. "Here, I think these belong to you."

"We're on a clock, and she needs to free the prisoners," Slade reminded us as we began to walk towards the cells filled with prisoners.

"Ivo sent his men to the engine room just like we planned."

"More convenient for me to take them out."

"Go find Ivo," Slade ordered Oliver. "He can't get off this ship. But don't kill him, that son of a bitch is mine."

I ran from cage to cage, allowing all the prisoners to be set free.

"Why are you doing this?" One of the male prisoners questioned me as I opened his cage.

"I'm with Oliver now," I stated slowly.

"Why should I believe you?"

"Because you don't want to die! Go!" I ushered him out of the cage and he ran off.

I opened the next cage door, but before I could move onto the next one, I was grabbed by the neck and lifted into the air before being painfully slammed onto the cold ground. The man began choking me. "You helped that maniac torture us."

I scratched at his hands as I croaked. Pressure lifted from my throat and I gasped for breath as a prisoner with a green and black sweater knocked the man choking me upside the head with a pole.

Explosions erupted.

Do you have any problems with anything? Like, is Sarah's character fitting in well? Is she actually socializing like she should? Do you want to see her with someone more? More moments between her and Rosalie? Her and Emmet?

Before I forget, she will be meeting the pack soon, in like two or three chapters. While I'm on this subject, this book is going to be all over the place, it's not really going to follow the plot of Twilight.

Jacob is already a werewolf. The Cullen's never leave. Bella becomes more social and not an outcast.

Also, you guys have probably been wondering who Sarah will end up with....well, it's gonna be Paul.

Any questions?
