Forty-Two

In the past couple of weeks, Jin and Jungkook had grown to somewhat get along with each other. Jungkook had avoided the fact he had cried in front of Jin, which Jin didn't bring up the next day to him because he knew how much it must have taken for the Alpha to show some real emotions.

However, he kept the date recorded in the notes app on his phone. It was something he was going to remember for a very long time. Sure, Jungkook had witnessed him cry a lot of times, but never did he think he would get to see such a moment. It was not that he was celebrating as it was a sorrowful moment, but sure he could remember the day when the hulk cried. It's not like he was committing a crime. Which was something he was bugging Jungkook about as they were walking to view the next potential place for his bakery.

"I think as your mate, I should know if you had someone killed." Jin couldn't get over the fact that there was a possibility that his Alpha could've killed someone, and honestly, he could see it very much happening. The man had some serious complex issues.

Jungkook stopped and pulled Jin's wrist, yanking his body to his, "Why is that so important to you? You whined for two weeks that I was not keeping my commitment to getting you a bakery. Now, I took off today to do just that, and you are focusing on whether I had someone killed or not?"

"I am sorry if it seems like I am not thankful, and it's not like you had to report your day off to a boss or something. And I feel like if we tell each other our deepest darkest secrets, we can become closer. I was watching Ellen and this couple-"

Jungkook immediately brought his fingers and pressed it against Jin's lips. If he had to hear about another episode of Ellen or Dr. Phil, he was going to lose his mind. They were now Jin's coach on "bettering" their relationship. He was starting to see that pregnancy was doing a number on his omega and couldn't wait until the baby was born.

He had now become a snack slave; every night, Jin wanted snacks, and Jungkook had to be the one to get it. His reason was that sex made him hungry, and his legs were too weak to get it. Yet interestingly, he was never too weak for another round, when he wanted it.

"I don't want to hear about Ellen, and I don't want to hear about what worked for another couple. What I want is for your cooperation in us getting a bakery. And not us arguing on the sidewalk with people staring at me like I am abusing you."

"Who can blame them, you placed your fingers on my lips and shushed me from speaking in the middle of a sidewalk. If I saw that happen to someone else, I would think they were getting abused too. Anyway, can we pause bakery shopping and get something to eat, I am hungry, like really hungry. I feel like I am going to faint too." Jin shifted on his feet, but Jungkook hand held him firmly in place.

"I am surprised Hollywood never picked you for a movie role, a real actor you are. We ate two hours ago. How are you possibly fainting?" Jungkook looked at the omega in unbelief.

Jin rolled his eyes and rested his hand behind his back, "Hahaha, very funny. Are we going to eat, or are you going to keep torturing me on the sidewalk?"

Jungkook glared at Jin and then looked around at the judgment stares they were receiving. Usually, he wouldn't care, but his omega could be very convincing, especially with the sad and embarrassing expression he had on his face at the moment.

"Where do you want to go to eat?"

Jin's face lights up at Jungkook's question, "can we have Greek? I saw a greek restaurant back there." Jin pointed to the end where they had come from.

Jungkook shakes his head, realizing why his omega, who had eaten two hours ago, was suddenly hungry. "Let's go, but after this, we are going to be serious with the bakery. I told you I have planned meetings for the rest of the week and cannot miss work."

"Yeah, I heard you." Jin waved his at Jungkook for him to stop talking. The bakery shopping was a waste of time for Jin. He knew Jungkook had already settled his mind on the options he wanted him to pick between; therefore, why was he going to spend needless time walking around drooling over places he knew he wasn't going to have? Mainly when his options were between the one right next to Jungkook's building and the one two blocks down.

"Are you coming?" Jungkook asked Jin, whose mind seemed to have trailed off into the distance.

"Can you carry me on your back? My feet hurt. I don't think they are used to doing so much walking, you know, especially being I am locked up in the house most of the time." Jin pointed down to his feet, which looked perfectly normal to Jungkook.

"What did I do?" Jungkook walked towards Jin and asked.

"what do you mean?" Jin looked at him, confused.

"You are not doing all of this for nothing, so what did I do? You bugged me that we do this today, and fine, I made happen, I am here we are doing. Yet, this morning you complained I got you the wrong flavor of drink earlier, even though I knew I got you exactly what you asked for. You then order a pretzel, and when it came, you said you didn't order that and took my bagel. I asked you to share the bagel, and you told me you were eating for two, so for me to get my own, meanwhile, it was my bagel. You are harassing me about if I am a crime lord, and now this, so what did I do?" Jungkook knew he had to have done something. He had noticed a pattern when Jin acted like this, and it was usually when he did something.

Jin looked at Jungkook and pouted even more than he was before, "I heard you on the phone."

"What are you talking about?"

"Well, I heard you talking to Taehyung last night telling him you would see him today, and you laughed, it sounded like he was laughing too. I didn't like it, you are not someone who laughs a lot, and I-I don't trust you and Taehyung going out or hanging out together." Jin folds his arms as he revealed why he was behaving the way he was. He was feeling insecure after overhearing Jungkook and Taehyung's phone call. The last time Jungkook and Taehyung hung out, Jungkook cheated.

"Wait, you are telling me that this the reason why you were so adamant about us doing this today?" Jungkook asked for clarification making sure he wasn't going crazy.

"Kind of, b-but it wasn't the only reason, it might have been ninety-nine percent of the reason."

"I told you I am never going to cheat ever again, don't you believe me? Why can't you trust me? Taehyung and I were talking about business and a merger he is helping me with."

"I think I trust you, but I don't trust him, nor do I know him enough to trust him either. If it's business, why can't you both do it at the house? Invite him there; I don't mind cooking either, you and he can talk merger, do a merger, whatever it is that's business, I don't care as long as it's in the house." Jin waved his hand around, feeling frustrated.

"Are you trying to confine me to the house to do business?"

"How can I confine you to your own home? Stop twisting my words and call Taehyung, let him know you and him can meet at the house later to talk about this merger, you don't want to miss out on any deals. But, can you call him while we walk to the restaurant, I am starving." Jin started walking off, not wanting to face Jungkook in case he tried to rebuttal him.

"I thought you wanted me to carry you?" Jungkook asked, shaking his head as he watched Jin stop walking and turned to smile at him.

Jungkook was slowly learning that a happy omega meant a happy home.

*******

I love you all and hope you are staying safe and healthy. I might not say it enough, but I appreciate all your support and continual encouragement. Hoping you are in good health, and your loved ones are too. We are going through a challenging time right now, a very unexpected one.

I am learning some days are easy to get through and then some are harder, but that's okay I do believe things will get better, and we must take each day, one at time. Remind your family how much you love and care about them, and apologize when you are wrong, it takes nothing to apologize, but it takes a whole lot to hold onto pride in your heart thinking you are right when you are wrong.

Be honest and open with your feelings as well, you might not have someone you can do that with and I understand, but write it out if you have to, don't leave it bottled up inside because it does more damage residing in your heart and mind than it does out in the open.

Love always, and stay safe!
