Part Two: The Journey Begins.

Two Months Later

Jungkook closes the front door of his home and turned on the alarm, which he had turned off before entering the house. Taking a deep breath, he let out a tiring sigh, "Listen; I just got home, I will think about it. However, I don't think now is the right time, he has been hurting a lot, and I am trying to do what I can to not add to it. Maybe in another month, I really don't know, and I don't have a timeline, but let Jimin know it's nothing personal. He can call Jin if he wants, I can't guarantee he will pick up, but he can try."

Taehyung, who was on the other line, looked at his omega, feeling sorry and shook his head, letting him know that visiting Jin was still a no. He mouthed to him; he would be back before walking out of the room to get some privacy so he could talk to Jungkook more.

"Don't worry about it, and I am sure Jimin understands. I will let him know he can text or call Jin. I know he has been texting, but not sure if Jin responded, but it's understandable at the same time. But how are you holding up? I know this has been hard on you as well."

Jungkook's eyes scanned around where he was standing, and he bit into his bottom lip, everything that had happened within the past month came flashing back to him, evoking the pain and emptiness within him.

Flashback

"Please, tell me they are okay?" Jungkook pleads with tears in his eyes to the doctor who had walked out of the operating room that Seokjin had been brought into three hours earlier.

The doctor looked down on the floor and then back at Jungkook, "Your omega is now in a stable condition, we are going to need to keep him for-"

Jungkook hugged the doctor out of nowhere before he could finish what he was saying, "thank you so much, thank you so so much. I thought my life end just now, and how's our baby?" he pulled away and wiped his tears away, feeling at ease to know his Seokjin was okay.

The doctor seeing Jungkook's reaction didn't know how to deliver the news he had to him; it was the very part of his job he hated. "I am sorry, but he didn't make it. We tried everything we could, but the fetal trauma was too much."

As the news was delivered to him, the tears started falling again, the emptiness he had felt earlier returned, and for the first time in his life, he didn't have words to speak or know what to do.

"Do you have any family, you would like us to call-"

"Where is Seokjin?" Jungkook lets out, wiping away his tears and trying to pull himself together. "D-does he know?" he voice cracks as he imagines the terrible pain his omega must be in at the moment. All he wanted was to be next to him.

"No, he is still under, but we have moved him to a recovery room, so he will be waking up soon. I know this is hard for you, but you must be there when he wakes up."

End of Flashback

"Jungkook, are you there?" Taehyung questioned as there had been a long paused on the other end of the line.

Jungkook pulled himself back to reality and spoke in the phone, "losing Hoseok was painful, but I never knew losing our child would've left me feeling so empty. There is an emptiness that I don't think can ever be filled, it's something I can never explain, and something you will never understand unless you have experienced it. But, Seokjin is having a lot harder time than me right now, so I am doing my best to try and make things easier for him."

"Shit, you sound so different than the Jungkook I know; this has caused a shift in you," Taehyung said, making light of the moment, even though what happened with Jin and Jungkook had caused a significant shift in his relationship with Jimin.

Jungkook sighed and started walking towards the stairs, "I have to go now. We will talk later."

"Oh, before you go, just want you to know that thing got finalized."

"About damn time," Jungkook says through gritted teeth and hung up the phone, he could feel his anger starting to bubble up again, and was happy he was home, because nowadays just seeing his omega made all the difference in the world.

When he walked into their bedroom, he was surprised not to see Seokjin, but upon hearing movements in their bathroom, he heads towards it.

"Seokjin, baby, are you in here?"

"Stop calling me that!" Seokjin screamed at him as he came into view.

Jungkook looked around the bathroom, and his eyes landed on the counter, "I am sorry, I didn't mean to. Anything good?" he questioned as he walked over to examine all six of the pregnancy tests that were laid out on the counter.

"N-No, they are all negative! Every single one of them, it's been one month and still nothing. I hate this."

Jungkook pulled Jin into his arms and hugged him tightly. "I know, I know, but remember the doctor said maybe it's best to wait until your first heat before-"

Jin pulled away and glared at Jungkook, "That doctor does not have a clue what he is talking about. I got pregnant before without going through my heat, so why do I have to wait to go through one before I can get pregnant, does that make sense to you? I want our baby back, is that so hard for me to have?! Is something suddenly wrong with me?"

"No, no, of course not and don't think like that, there is nothing wrong with you. Your body went through a lot, and maybe the doctor means that your next heat will correct a lot of what it went through. Let us continue trying as much as we want to, even if we face some disappointment along the way. Let's take a trip away, for a while, maybe a change of environment will help." Jungkook was struggling with the right words to say to Jin, he didn't want to say the wrong thing and upset Jin

Jin's eyes soften, and he walks back over to his Alpha, wrapping himself back into his arms. "I am sorry, I didn't mean to yell at you, it's been a hard day, but I am sure it's been a tough time for you as well. Sorry, you have to come home to see me like this again. I think some time away would be good for us."

"Please don't apologize. I know it's hard, I had a bad day today too. It's only been two months; it's okay to feel what you are feeling and be angry. I don't want you hiding away any of your feelings from me. I never thought I would say this, but now is the time I want you to be more vocal than ever before. I want to know what you are thinking; I want to know when you are hurting or feeling down. I want to know everything. We are in this together."

Tears started falling out of Jin's eyes, wetting Jungkook's shirt. Jungkook rubbed his hand along Jin's back to bring him some comfort. "I love you so much," Jin whispered and let out the suffocating cry he had been holding in.

Jungkook leans down, resting his forehead on Jin's head, "I love you more." he lets out as tears fell from his eyes.

Though they had gone through a tragedy, neither of them saw coming, it had done one thing, that even them, themselves couldn't fathom, and that was creating a stronger bond between the two.

Breaking News

At this time we bring some regrettable news to you. The body of Min Yoongi was found hanging from the Han River Bridge, and it is unclear at this time whether the cause of death was an act of suicide or if he was murdered. More details to come on this case.

The spokesperson for his family has made not comments but has asked that we respect their grieving space at this time.

Jin's eyes widen as he stared at the t.v., he turned to look at Jungkook who had been packing their suitcase.

"This shirt, do you want me to pack it too?" Jungkook picked up one of the shirts Jin had placed in the "maybe" pile.

"J-Jungkook, Y-Yoongi is d-dead."

Jungkook stopped what he was doing and looked at him, "And?"

"If I remember correctly, so is our baby, and so is my brother."

A/N: I have made the decision to keep the book as one, it limits me from adding another book as well. There will be flashbacks from time to time.

The journey ahead is not meant to break your heart, of course some parts will, but it will follow our two characters through a new path as they try to get over some hurdles and discovering themselves.

In part one, neither Jungkook nor Jin fully understood each other, and besides what they have shared with one another, how much do they actually know about each other? This new addition is for them to learn more about one another, right the wrongs of the past and see where the future can take them while battling new challenges.
