Red String of Fate
I have an obsession with the Red String of Fate fanfics. This'll be great-
~Sam Golbach's POV~
Everybody in town knows the Red String of Fate theory. Tied on everybody's pinkie, an invisible string connects them to their lover. The strings will bend and break, but they can never be broken. I know there isn't many people in town that actually believe in it, but I do.
I just know that one day, I'm going to find the girl of my dreams.
I sigh, looking out of the window. Then, I glance down at my finger, feeling a gentle tug at it like whoever's at the other end started walking the opposite direction.
Giving up, I just groan and head to bed for the night. "Maybe I'll see you tomorrow, mystery girl," I murmur to myself, closing my eyes.
The next morning, I get up and get ready for the day. I then head out of my house, walking down the street. I stop by the coffee shop, planning on grabbing a iced tea and a muffin.
When I walk in, I see a ton of people inside, but one person stands out to me. For some reason, my red string is tugging right towards a rather handsome brunette boy. That can't be right, I'm straight, I think mentally. He's sitting alone, so I walk over to him.
"Hey, can I sit here?" I ask gently, the rest of the tables at the coffee shop full.
He looks up at me, smiling faintly before nodding. I sit down, listening to the chatter in the coffee shop.
"So," the brunette says awkwardly. "My name is Colby."
"Sam," I say simply, nodding. "It's nice to meet you, Colby."
We start talking about random things, and I can't help but feel a connection. Sometimes, I wish I knew what the red string was up to. I'm straight, but something about it was drawing me over to Colby.
"Hey, this is gonna sound crazy, but I have a question," Colby says, and I shrug.
"What's up?"
"Do you believe in the red string of fate?" he asks me, and I was a little stunned. Not many people in this city believe in it, does that mean he does?
"Yeah. I have my own personal reasons, but I definitely believe it," I answer. "Why?"
"Because," he says gently, "I think that you're at the end of my red string."
We're both blushing a faint pink, and he just smiles. "Would it be inappropriate to ask you if I could kiss you?" he asks, leaning closer. Without even thinking, I lean forward as well, nodding yes to him.
Our lips meet, many 'awww's surrounding us from all the other people in the coffee shop. We pull back after a moment, Colby smiling.
"Is it crazy that I think I'm in love with you?" he asks me, and I shrug.
"If it's crazy then I guess I am too, because I think I'm in love with you too." He smiles, leaning forward and kissing me again, this time more needy.

Might do a fanfic on the Red String of Fate, not sure though. I mean, nobody even reads these, so-
