Soundtrack

I think it's interesting to know what authors were listening to when they wrote, so I'm posting them here.

"Another Way Out" by Hollywood Undead. This fast, mournful song was the anthem for much of the beginning content where things go wrong in Luis's plan to introduce Rowan to the werewolf world.

"Rock Bottom" by grandson. This song helped me really nail the feelings of fear and dread Rowan felt when he suspected Kirk had been the victim of a hate crime.

"Play Me Like a Violin" by Stephen. This light, romantic song helped me start to pave the way into some of the first romantic exchanges between Rowan and Luis.

"Red Hot Lights" by Moon Taxi. I hit writer's block pretty hard when I began writing the hide-and-seek tag part. The unique music of this song helped inspire the deeper level of intrigue and plotwork introduced in those scenes.

"Wolves" by MISSIO. This chilling, irreverent track sculpted Rowan's exhausted behavior after Luis's attack.

"Past Life" by Trevor Daniel and Selena Gomez. I hit writer's block VERY HARD as I struggled to develop the concepts of the Ancient Idols and Solars. This song inspired me to keep pushing forward, and to pick Rowan's spirits back up after Luis regains consciousness.

"Big Fish (Lukins Cinematic Version)" by LAIKIPIA and Lukins. This gorgeous music helped me plan out NALA and the Lunar Campus by allowing me to more deeply feel the sensation of our boys being very "small fish" in a larger pond.

"Favorite Color is Blue" by Robert DeLong and K.Flay. This song was the soundtrack to me writing the outline that shaped the latter half of the story, including the ending.

And I was listening to basically every Rihanna song when I wrote the sexy scenes. Ty, RiRi.
