Chapter Two
(I meant to publish this last night but I fell asleep.)
This is boring. Everything is boring. I'm tired. I'm writing because I'm bored. That's all. That's why it's gonna be bad cuz I'm rly tired and I can't sleep and I'm bored. So. I'm writing. My story. Yeah.
Also sorry if I suck at writing day scenes. I'm half asleep. Kay?
Will's POV
There was a little boy holding a toy. A girl, older than him, with alike looks, sat on a stone bench. They were in the royal garden. "Bianca!" The little boy shouted gleefully. His sister was smiling as she watched him hugging the new toy. "Do you like it, Nico?" She asked him. He nodded. "Yeah! I only need two more now! Hades and Poseidon!" (Cuz why not)
Nico jumped to his feet. "Hey, why don't we go inside! I want to showy you all my other figures and cards!" Bianca grinned. "Okay! Let's go!" They both bounded off to the palace.
Will woke up to Buttercup nudging his face. The sound of Nico's voice echoes in his head for a moment, but then it faded away, along with the memory of the dream. He shook his head.
He squinted as his eyes adjusted to the light that filtered in through the holes in the crumbling walls. He didn't bother to pack his stuff up, since he planned on staying at least one more night until he knows what the heck he was going to do.
Buttercup neighed at him as he stood up and stretched. Normally he would be up by now and eating breakfast or riding Buttercup, but yesterday had been more tiring that usual.
He ate a little food and drank some water to help wake up.
It's actually kinda hard to write about sun when I'm literally laying in bed in the dark and my cats purring in my ear. Cuz cats.
With nothing else to do, he decided to explore. His first thought was to go up the stairs, and he almost wished he'd brought his dog, Helios, to come with him. He told himself he was just being silly and headed up the stairs.
He turned right when the stairs split in two. (I might've forgotten to include that cuz it's hard describe so I dunno. I can't keep track of details like that)
At the top of those stairs was a hall that had surely once been gleaming with wealth. Worn tapestries hung on the wall, intricate designs etched onto the ceiling, (does that happen ever in real life?) and old treasures lay on the floor.
He eventually came to a set if stairs that led up a tower. It had obviously not been some old abandoned tower that the set ants slept in. The stairs that looked as though they were made of gold were lined with once soft, fluffy carpet and jewels were part of the walls covered in painted and carved designs showing love and life and rebirth and heavenly places where the sun shone bright and everyone smiled.
At the top of the tower was a silver door. Will hesitated, then pushed it open.
The door opened slowly, creaking with years of old age. The room had some truly amazing treasures, but what really drew Will's attention was the huge canopy bed in the center.
Somebody lay upon that bed, Will realized. That meant someone had either been there recently to not be bones and dust, or a curse had been put on the castle or the person in the bed.
What. That's so awkward. Ugh. I can't write. I'm tired.
Despite his uneasiness, Will approached the bed.
On it lay a boy, about Will's age, asleep. Will watched, entranced, until the thought that the boy might wake up and see him entered his mind. He stepped back, not wanting to leave, but unsure if he should stay.
The door creaked open, and Will jumped. He turned, but nobody was there. Even more uneasy now, he turned back to the sleeping boy, who still hadn't woke.
Will thought back to the rest of the castle. There had been quite a lot of dust covering everything, and there were no footprints besides his own. Not only that, but he didn't see any food or drink and even clothes in the tower room.
He stepped closer to the bed. The blankets looked like they hadn't been touched for a while.
Will was sure the boy was under a curse, but what was he supposed to do? Kiss him?
On second thought, Will realized that maybe he should. In all the stories, a kiss of true love woke the person under a sleeping curse, but Will never understood that. How can somebody be in true love with somebody they don't know? All they know is how they look, and love shouldn't be based off looks. If you love someone, truly love someone, it would be who they are that you are in love with, not whether or not they were beautiful or handsome.
But maybe with curses like these, that need a true loves kiss, it was because they were soulmates.
Either way, Will felt he had to wake the boy up, and if that meant kissing him, then so be it.
Will bent over the boy. Hesitantly, he touched his lips to the boy's. Then the full weight of the situation hit him and he sprang back, watching the boy on the bed carefully.
Nothing happened. Will held his breath.
And then the boy's eyes twitched.
Kay so that happened. Honestly this chapter had so much potential and I completely destroyed it. Yay. Ugh. I'm tired. But anyway, hope that didn't torture anyone too bad. I'm bored. Yay. I was even bored as I wrote this. I had a plot and I had characters and I knew what was going to happen so I didn't pay that much attention to what I was writing. That's why it was so bad too cuz my attention was focused elsewhere.
