Finally
Nico's POV
I poked my head into the infirmary, looking for Will. He did say he'd like to see my face, after all.
It wasn't hard to spot him. His sun-bleached blonde hair stood out as if it was alight. He was sporting his usual combination of a doctor's coat, shorts and flip-flops, and he was taking someone's blood pressure.
It did take him a while to spot me.
So I just stood there watching him, trying not to be too obvious about it. I was not good at seeming casual in these kind of situations.
Any kind of situation that involves other people, that is.
At some point, while putting away his instruments, his eyes drifted upwards and his face lit up. I fought the urge to look behind me. I still couldn't believe he'd be so happy to see me.
I cracked a small smile.
"Hi," I said, shoving my hands into my pockets (I'd suddenly forgotten what to do with them).
He stopped to say something to the camper he'd helped before coming over to me.
"I knew you'd come."
"I... um," I stammered, scratching the back of my head. For some reason(sadly, I knew what reason), my hands were shaking and I was feeling jitterish. Nope, nope, nope. This was not happening again.
"Do you want to, um, do something?"
He smiled even wider, and nodded.
"My shift is nearly over. I'd be happy to."
Will's POV
I tried to regain my composure while cleaning my instruments.
Finally.
Finally.
I'd thought I'd pushed him too far, but here he was. I tried to steady my hands while arranging my medicine bottles.
"So, where did you want to go?" I asked, barely keeping my voice from shaking.
"Um.. I was thinking maybe I could show you camp Jupiter?" I looked at him in surprise. He was standing with his hand behind his neck, looking nervous and shy. Suddenly my own nerves melted away.
"Yeah, I'd like that!" I saw his face light up, doubt eliminated. I finished cleaning and put away my jacket.
"Let's go, then!"

Nico's POV
We were walking through one of the streets of New Rome and I was pointing out all the interesting things along the way, when I noticed that Will was looking more at me than at our surroundings. I stopped talking in the middle of a sentence because he was staring at me intensely.
"What?" I asked.
He blushed and looked away.
"You're very cute when you're enthusiastic," he said, shuffling his feet. Now it was my turn to blush.
"You think so?"
"Yeah." He took my hand.
"Can I - can I kiss you?" He looked at me through his eyelashes.
"What - here - now?" Nice sentence, Nico.
He seemed to realise that we were standing in the middle of the road and pulled me towards a nearby tree. He was waiting for me to answer, but I wasn't going to. At least not with words.
When our lips touched, I melted completely. So much for being the Ghost King.
ART IS NOT MINE. I hope you liked this, been working on it for a long time:) figured it was time to finish it.
