So... this is something I've just put together. So please do not blame me for complete lack of everything.

Nico was just clearing up the tables at the "Dream and Bean Coffee" where he worked when he suddenly heard a scream. He looked up and viõla, someone was holding a fucking gun in his face.

Well, holding might be a wrong word to use. The fourteen year old kid, who was holding the gun, was waving it around like a madman, threatening to shoot anyone and everyone who came near. And then his eyes landed on Nico.

Nico's eyes widened. "Hola, welcome to the Dream and Bean shop" he said timidly. And then the boy shot....

And missed. By around 5 feet.

Nico took that opportunity to dive under the table and started crawling to freedom. He made it halfway to the kitchen before he heard another shot.

This is it he thought. Goodbye, cruel world. And his last thought before he felt a jarring pain in his leg was; I didn't even get to see Lin-Manuel Miranda in real life, next life, hopefully.

But then he opened his eyes. And saw that a chair had fallen on his leg. He pushed it out and saw the crowd huddled on one corner. Apparently, someone was actually shot. The boy with the gun was nowhere to be found.

~~Two hours later~~

Nico was lying in a hospital bed, his toes barely sticking out of the covers. He was bored, As expected with someone with ADHD. He looked at the clock with a resigned sigh. 15 minutes had passed. He was surely going to die of boredom in this hospital bed. He didn't even write his Will yet.

Then the door flew off its hinges and in stormed Will Solace, his fiancé. And as expected, the flow of questions;

"NICO, OH MY GODS, WHAT HAPPENED???"

"WHERE ARE YOU HURT?"

"WHY THE HADES IS YOUR FOOT IN A CAST???!!??!"

Nico shut him up with a kiss. "I'm fine, Will, honestly."

Will raised an exaggerated eyebrow and glared pointedly at his cast.

Nico brushed it off with a shrug. "While I was getting away, some dude who was filming stepped on my foot. He was wearing these crazy ass boots. They were HUGE, Will. HUGE. And thus, the cast"

"So.. you weren't shot?"

Nico rolled his eyes as a response.

Will sighed with relief. Then he started hitting Nico with a newspaper he had conveniently picked up along the way.

"YOU IDIOTIC DUMBASS"

"YOU MORON, I WAS WORRIED SICK"

"YOU KNOW VERY WELL I CANT LIVE WITHOUT YOU"

"I FUCKING LOVE YOU SO MUCH, SO IF YOU EVEN THINK ABOUT GETTING IN A LIFE-THREATENING SITUATION AGAIN, I WILL PERSONALLY DECAPITATE YOU"

And then he smiled. And then they kissed again, much to the pleasure of the nurses outside the door who were eating popcorn, smiling while watching solangelo together.

Hello!!! As I said, this is totally last minute and everything so please don't blame me for any errors or lack of plot. This is actually... based on a true story that happened today. I don't know all the details but here are some facts:

-a 14 year old, (super young, I know) brought a gun in a tightly packed mall.

-there were 3 casualties and 2 injured (as far as we know)

-the whole thing was caught on live tv.

-the police have successfully been able to arrest him, thank the gods.

So, yeah. What really surprised me though, was the kids' age. Holy hades, how did he manage to SNEAK a gun in through security, but then again, security sucks here so...
