Jason was walking down the beach at Camp Half-Blood waiting for Piper to finish instructing her surf class. As he got to a more secluded part of the beach, where the woods and the beach met, he heard some giggling from in between the trees. He decided it was best to investigate. It was probably the Stolls planing some stupid prank.

What he found surprised him even more. There, on the ground, laid the mighty Nico Di Angelo who was being tickled by none other than, little ray of sunshine, Will Solace.

"Stop! Hahaha! Will! Haha!Stop! Ha! Please!" Nico shriek on the ground. Will finally stopped tickling Nico, but kept him pinned down while Will laid on top of him in plank position.

"Or what?" Will asked definitely. To Jason's surprise, Nico didn't vanquish Will from existence. Nico simply smiled. A genuine smile.

"You know I can summon skeleton and undead warriors right?" Nico said, his smile not as strong. 

"Yeah, so?" Will retorted sensing the slight change in mood.

"I could kill you with just a few words." Nico said looking away from Will. His smile gone completely now. He was thinking about what had happened with Bryce Lawrence back when they were bringing the Athena Parthenon to camp.

"Nico," Will turned Nico's face towards him gently. "You're not a villain. You're an amazing person. I'd never think otherwise." Nico smiled at him and put his arms around Will's neck.

"I love you, Sunshine."

"I love you too, Death Boy." Nico pulled Will closer and they kissed.

To say Jason was shocked was an understatement. Nico was never affectionate to anyone other than Hazel, and very rarely Jason and Reyna. He never gave anyone nicknames. He certainly didn't show his vulnerable side.

As the couple in front of him got more passionate, Jason decided it was time for him to go back. As he walked back down the beach, Piper came running up to him.

"Where were you?" She asked. Her wet hair was tied up in a loose braid. A lot of standards of hair had fallen from it. She was wearing a bikini top and some swimming shorts.

"I just saw something really shocking." Jason said.

"What was it?" She asked as they walked hand in hand back to the cabins.

"I saw one of the mightiest demigods... in love." Jason said.

"Well," Piper paused to kiss his cheek. "Even the mighty fall in love."
