Will you...

This takes place around five years after Will and Nico leave Camp Half- Blood, so they're in their early twenties. Also, that last update a few hours ago was my friend on my phone, not me. I wasn't high, I promise.

Nico's POV

I sat in a rigid purple armchair in Reyna's apartment in New Rome, pinching the small golden wedding ring between my thumb and my pointer finger.

"This has to be perfect," I muttered, staring intently at the ring as though it held the key to my entire future which, in a way, it did. I felt Reyna's comforting hand on my back.

"Don't worry, Nico, it will be. I promise." I looked up into her usually hard black eyes that had softened just for me. She knew that I was worried about proposing to Will. After all, he could say no.

"Is the plan all set?" I asked anxiously, hitches in the plan forming every second in my stressed out brain. Reyna laughed.

"Yes, Nico. This will go off without a hitch and by next week, we'll be planning the wedding." She grinned at me. "I'll be one of the bridesmaids, of course?" I laughed, feeling some of the pressure of proposing to my boyfriend melt away.

"Of course, Reyna. You're one of my closest friends. I wouldn't have it any other way."

"Good," she said, standing up from her crouched position next to me. "Now how about we go find some cakes to sample?" I swatted her on the arm.

"He hasn't even said yes yet." She shrugged.

"Still, there's never a wrong time to have cake."

Will's POV

"You're sure this will work, right, Hazel?" I asked nervously, staring at her deep golden eyes. I twirled the thin golden wedding ring on my middle finger, feeling the ring go around and around my finger. Hazel moved closer to me on her bed in the fifth cohort, gently stopping my hand.

"Okay, first of all, you're going to loose that, and I'm pretty sure you don't want to propose to Nico with a ring pop." Taking a deep breath I shook my head, taking the ring from around my finger and sliding it back into the black satiny box.

"Second of all, relax. This will be great, I know it will," she said. Her golden eyes soothed me somehow. They were like looking into a room with all the riches in the world. "Besides, Nico will say yes no matter what happens," she said, nudging me playfully. "He's totally gaga for you. he talks about you every day. Oh,Will is so handsome!" she mimicked in a high falsetto voice. "He's so tall and strong! I just swoon for him!" She put the back of her hand on her forehead and pretended to faint.

"Shut up!" I laughed, amazed at how the youngest(or technically oldest) one of my friends could always make me laugh. "Still, though, what if he doesn't like the restaurant?"

"He loves Leo's Sizzle and Grizzle. Now you're just creating problems yourself. I mean you already asked him, right?" She said. I nodded.

"When we went to coffee this morning," I replied.  "Although he sounded a little strange when he said yes. Almost like he was about to ask me the same question."

"I'm sure it's nothing," Hazel shrugged. "This will go off without a hitch, I promise."

Percy's POV

I watched the couple walk into Leo's Sizzle and Grizzle, Nico wearing a tuxedo and Will in a dapper white suit. For such an unorganized guy, Leo sure knew how to make a swanky joint. From my spot at the waiter's section, I could see Nico flash me a nervous thumbs up. I was in position, a waiter for the night, and Nico and Will were walking into the restaurant, right on schedule. I twirled my large black handlebar mustache, hoping that the glue we had used wouldn't come off anytime soon. I liked it. I also liked the bright red tee shirt with flames all over it and grey pants with flames creeping up the legs that were the custom wear for the waiters and waitresses at Leo's Sizzle and Grizzle. Maybe later I'd ask Leo for a job.

I watched as the hostess, a young blonde woman who I thought I had seen before put them at a table that was close to a large window looking out onto new Rome and one of the many crackling fireplaces around the restaurant. I watched the hostess walk back, a familiar walk that said I'm better than you in every way shape and form that I had seen many times before. When I saw the stormy grey eyes eyeing my mustache apprehensively, I knew who it was.

"Annabeth?" I gasped, hurrying to meet my wife. "What are you doing here?" She snorted.

"What's that dead rat doing on your face?"

"You don't like it?" I frowned, rubbing it between my fingers. "I thought it was very fetching. But you still didn't answer my question. What are you doing here?" Forgetting about my mustache, Annabeth's eyes lit up with excitement.

"See Nico and Will over there? Will's proposing to Nico. Tonight. I'm in on the plan. What are you doing here?" It took my brain a few seconds to process her question. Will was proposing to Nico? On the same night Nico was proposing to Will? The odds of a coincidence like this were miniscule but then again, what in a demigod's life was normal?

Annabeth waved her hand in front of my face. "Anybody home? is there a little more seaweed in your brain than usual?" I snapped out of my reverie.

"No, no. I guess we're here for the same reason." Annabeth furrowed her brow, confused. I was guessing that right now was the only time she had ever been confused. "Nico was going to propose to Will tonight," I explained. It felt good to be able to explain something to the smartest person I knew for once. "By the way, how did Nico not recognize you?"

"Hazel put some kind of magic on him so he won't recognize me. It'll wear off once Will proposes."

"Smart," I commented. Annabeth grinned.

"When am I not?" she asked before walking away.

About an hour had passed and the couple was almost finished with their dinner of flame broiled steaks. Everything at Leo's Sizzle and Grizzle was flame broiled, even the veggie burgers, which I found weird but Piper said tastes like ambrosia. They were talking and smiling, but it was obvious that they were both nervous about proposing to one another, which I still didn't understand. The fates were probably having themselves a nice laugh right about now. I looked around the large room filled with chattering people and slick jazz music and spotted a large set of double doors marked kitchens. It was time to put Nico's plan into action.

When I slipped into the kitchen, my eyes immediately flew to two familiar people, one scrawny with curly brown hair and the other blonde and blue eyed with a scar on his upper lip.

"I told you, Jason, that the only thing I didn't know how to make was cheesecake. I told you to tell Will not to order cheesecake. And what does he do? He orders cheesecake."

"Leo, it's not my fault he ordered cheesecake. Anyway, he's proposing tonight. Shouldn't he be able to order what he wants?" Leo was about to say something but then he looked up and spotted me. His face split into his signature wide, impish grin.

"Percy, hey! Come to drop off the ring for Will so we can put it in the cheesecake? And I don't suppose you know how to make cheesecake, do you?"

"Does everyone know about the double proposal?" I asked, walking over. "And yes I know how to make cheesecake, except it'll be made in a mug, nuked in a microwave and it'll be blue."

"Hey, man, I'm fine with blue cheesecake as long as it tastes okay," Leo shrugged, wiping a streak of flour off his forehead. "And yeah, everyone except the two lovebirds themselves know about the double proposal."

"It's kind of surprising, really, that at least Will hasn't figured out something was going on," Jason added in. "What with you walking around with an entire fur coat on your face."

"Respect the 'stache," I said, stroking it. "I'm the one saving your butts with the cheesecake." Jason rolled his eyes.

"Fine, what do we need?" I rattled off the list and in a matter of minutes, leo was back from the supply cupboards with a full arsenal of everything needed to make two cheesecakes in a mug. We mixed everything together, and them put a ring in each one. One for Will, and one for Nico. We were about to pop the cakes in the microwave for ninety seconds when Jason stopped up.

"What if the microwave hurts the rings?" he muttered, staring at the two rings stuck inside the soft blue batter. Leo stopped what he was doing and gazed at the rings as well.

"We can just put them in after the cake has been baked, I guess," Leo mused.

"But then they'll see the rings immediately," I countered. Leo shrugged and stuck his fingers into the batter, pulling out the two rings. He placed them both on the counter next to the microwave, where they lay covered in aqua batter.

"They'll see them sooner or later, so it might as well be sooner." He slid the mugs onto the clear plate inside, closed the door and turned the microwave to sixty seconds. We stood in a semi circle as we watched the dessert of Nico and Will's proposal dinner spin slowly in the cheap microwave that Leo had bought on Ebay.

"It seems wrong, cooking their dessert in a microwave," I said.

"Well, it was either that or having them wait another hour while Superman and I figured out how to make cheesecake," Leo said. Jason cuffed Leo on the back of his head.

"I told you not to call me Superman." I snorted, and Jason shot me a look. "Don't encourage him."

"Yeah, yeah, Sparky," Leo smirked. "Just get the mugs." Jason's entire face was fire truck red. I was surprised that steam wasn't coming out of his ears, but even so, he reached into the microwave and put the two mugs on a round, shiny black tray. It was ungarnished except for Solangelo Forever written on the top in Leo's untidy handwriting. Jason handed me the mug, and I held it tight to my chest.

"Well, Aqua Man, it's your time to shine," he said.

"Don't call me Aqua Man," I called as I pushed open the swinging door of the kitchen and back into the main dining hall.

When Nico saw me, I watched as he gave a small sigh of relief that I hadn't ditched on the plan. Will looked confused, wondering why someone with a huge, amazing mustache was bringing out the dessert and not Jason, like Annabeth had told me was their plan. I reached the table, giving Nico a wide, toothy smile before sliding the tray onto the table and placing each boys respective mugs in front of him. I took two untarnished forks and stuck them prongs down into the cheesecake. I saw Will's light blue eyes and Nico's dark brown ones widen in surprise as the metal of the ring poking out of the cake glinted in their eyes. In unison, they pulled the rings out and stared at them in wonder, not caring that there were little bits of cake sticking to  them. the fates were probably leaning in with their popcorn right about now.

Finally, Will cleared his throat. "Nico, I have something.. something really important I need to ask you." His voice caught, but Nico finished the statement.

"Will, will you marry me?" I saw a tear slip out of the corner of Nico's eye as he knelt down on oe knee, taking the ring from Will's hand and sliding it onto Will's finger. Will nodded a silent yes and Nico threw his arms around his fiance as the restaurant burst into applause.

Sorry for the late update, but this ended up being a thousand words longer than I thought it would be. Also, sorry for the bad title, but it was the only thing I could think of without giving away the plot. But I hope you liked it!
