The end of all things
Wow, another one???
I'm surprised too.
Music is recommended, for extra sadness. (Don't play until I say so.)
Trigger warning: blood, death
Will pov
It was a normal camp day. I was working in the infirmary with my siblings when Percy came running inside, screaming my name, a look of panic [at the disco] on his face. I remembered he had been on a quest with Nico for the past few days.
Nico, who was now laying in Percy's arms, bleeding out of several wounds over his whole body.
'NICO!' I cried out. I quickly gestured Percy to lay him down on the nearest bed.
'Get the band aids! Now!' I screamed at Percy. I was panicking [at the disco]. I could feel Nico's life energy leaking out of his body.
I quickly examined the wounds on his body. There were several cuts over his chest that looked like clawmarks. His whole face was bruised and he had a black eye. But that weren't the worst injuries.
On the exact place where his heart was, was an enormous hole. The skin was ripped apart, revealing the muscles underneath. Blood gushed out of it, soaking the remaining pieces of clothing. It was surprising that he was still alive.
[I don't know anything about medical shit, I apollogize - pun intended - for the incurrency]
I checked Nico's breath. It was barely there, I had to put my ear on his mouth to be able to hear it.
Meanwhile - it had only been a few seconds - Percy had come back with my medical kit. I ordered him to leave the room and wiped away the blood so I had a clear sight on the wounds.
I immediately saw that there was no way a few straps of bandage could help Nico. There was too much damage done to his body.
There was only one way.
I placed my hands on Nico's chest, careful so I wouldn't hurt him, but despite my efforts, he winced in pain.
'I'm sorry, Nico.' I whispered.
I could feel his will to live leak away with every drop of blood that fell of his body on the ground, the pain being so bad he passed out.
It was better that way. He wouldn't know what I was planning to do
I reached within myself and touched my life force
My skin started glowing a golden light, starting by my hands and quickly spreading through the rest of my body.
I sent all of it into Nico's body. Waves of light streamed via my hands into his body, weakening my own.
It wasn't enough.
I sent more power to him. The cuts were closing and the bruises on his face were fading. But the huge wound on his chest still looked the same.
I reached within myself once again and connected with my spirit. My spirit touched Nico's and they became one.
[Start playing song]
Memories flooded my mind.
Baking cookies with my mother.
Joking with Lou and Cecil.
Chatting with Kayla and Austin.
And then, Nico.
Cuddling in his cabin.
Walking through the strawberry fields, chatting and laughing.
Stargazing on the beach at night.
Kissing under the stars.
Something pushed at me mentally, shoving something in my mind.
Memories.
Nico's memories.
A five year old Nico gazing up to his mother, a wide grin in his face.
A slightly older Nico playing with a girl I assumed was Bianca.
Nico's father, Hades, smiling at him.
Nico and Hazel, laughing on the Argo II.
More and more memories came through.
Our first kiss, on Half-Blood Hill, under the setting sun.
Holding hands while singing along at the bonfire.
The first time we had told eachother "I love you".
The memories strengthened me and my skin started glowing even brighter.
I sent all of the light into Nico's body.
I felt myself growing weaker, but I didn't stop.
I kept sending waves of life into Nico.
My light was slowly dying, but I still didn't stop.
I thought about Nico, my soulmate, my one and only love, the boy I'd die for, and the light boosted once again, lighting up the whole room, before it went out.
The life flowed out of me.
Nico pov
I became conscious again when I felt something flowing into me.
It was soft and warm, like sunshine on a warm summer day, softly carressing your cheek, inviting you to close your eyes and lay down to drift off under the warm blanket of light.
Like cuddles and kisses, soft lips on your own, hot breath in your mouth, the sweet taste of strawberries, arms around you, pulling you closer.
Like grins and teasing eyes, grinning at a joke you made, teasing you until your face turned red.
Like bright smiles and soft eyes, staring at you full of love,
Like laughs sounding like he had just heard the best joke ever made.
Like yellow and orange and red, warm colours, wrapping you in a blanket of warmth and coziness.
It all screamed Will.
Will, Will, Will, Will, Will.
William Solace.
I relived all of his happiest memories, from his childhood up to now.
I sent him my own, pushing them into his mind.
I still hadn't opened my eyes when I saw a wave of bright light through my closed eyelids.
When the light weakened, I opened my eyes.
Will was bending over me, hands on the slowly closing wound on my chest.
The light was coming out of him, no, was him. The light dripped out of every pore, every single piece of skin, almost as if it was liquid
He lit up one more time. An enormous boost flowed through my body. My wounds were healed and my bruises were gone. I felt the stronger thav I'd ever been.
But the light was fading.
The sunshine was turning into harsh TL-light.
The lips left mine, only leaving a faint memory.
The grins became grimaces and the teasing eyes angry ones.
The bright smiles turned into forced ones and the soft eyes became sad.
The laughs were fading away and the once warm colours turned to a dull grey.
When the bright light had faded away conpletely, Will collapsed, falling backwards to the floor.
I shot up, just barely catching him. The light in his eyes was fading out, before fading away completely.
No. No no no no no no no no no no no!
NO!
'Will? Will! WILL!' I was screaming now, shaking at his shoulders, desperate for any sign of life.
Nothing.
I reached out to his life force. There was only a shadow left. The room was darker than it had been before. All the light had been sucked out, and into my body, just like Will's own light. He had given it all to me, so I could live.
I called out for his ghost, pulled it towards me. A vague silhouette appeared in front of me.
'Will,' My voice broke. I hadn't noticed the tears that were streaming down my face.
Will just smiled sadly, his hand reaching for my face, cupping my cheek. I shouldn't have been able feel it, since the- since the dead couldn't touch the living, but I swore I could feel his hand caressing my cheek, a touch as soft as silk.
He wiped away my tears and left his thumb there, under my eye.
Will learned forwards and pressed a soft kiss on my mouth. Our bodies lit up at the touch, even brighter than before.
The light - and Will - slowly started to fade away.
'Will. Wait!' I cried out. 'You promised you wouldn't use it! You told me it drained your own energy! You promised!'
He just gave me a sad smile.
'I'm sorry, Nico. I love you.'
'I- I love you too.'
The light went out.
Did I make you cry? I hope so. (Probably not)
I probably overdid some parts but I just really love describing things 😅 oops
