Olu stuck one hand above the covers and signed I do not exist. And then she was pushed off the bed. It must have been Sarah shaking her awake because the hands shaking her were much warmer then should of been humanly possible. Olu screamed as she was pushed off the bed, sufficiently waking everyone else up. Olu could only really say short sentences. The longest she could say was 'Do the world a favor and shut up'. It came in handy a lot with Chase and Harry. Harry was always cornering them and accusing them of eating Lilliara the Major Elemental of death. Ick. She would taste terrible. Olu untangled herself from her blankets and saw her friends gathering their presents and going down stairs. We're going downstairs to open our presents with everyone else. Sarah signed, bouncing at the same time which made them really hard to read. At first she thought she said We're going down stairs to kill our presents after everyone else. But that couldn't of been right so she found a new way to interpret them that made more sense. Olu picked up her presents and went downstairs. They took turns opening presents, with Olu going first. She chose to open the one from Annabeth first. Annabeth had, with the help of Crystal, created her a different necklace every year for Christmas. This year it was a Necklace with a book. As well as a different charm for her bracelet. Everyone had been given charm bracelets by Annabeth years before and she gave everyone a different charm every time she brought them a gift. So Christmas and birthdays. Olu jumped up, hugged Annabeth (The metal elemental! Not The child of Athena!) and sat back down. Olu's hair was still somewhere on the stairs because she forgot to braid it. Olu got books from everyone else, except for Biana and Sarah who both got her a dress. Sarah's was knee-length, and all shades of the cool colors,and simple while Biana's was floor length, fitted, gold and silver and blue, and was covered in glitter. Because there's going to be a dance this year, sometime in April, was their explanation. Olu liked the one Sarah picked better. Harry and Ron got one present each. From each other. Hermione was considered a traitor by them and they didn't like any of the exchange students. Also, the Weasley's had disowned Ron for being Homophobic. Sirius had also disowned Harry for the same reasons. They had been caught saying mean things about Alex and Nico and Will. And Magnus. Though how anyone could hate them, Olu had no idea. They were really nice. Especially Magnus and Will. Will was very protective of Nico and the same with Nico but they were still really nice. Magnus was just a big teddy bear, but Jack the talking sword was really annoying. Harry and Ron did not enjoy Jack's renditions of pop song that he got the lyrics wrong for. Jack flirted with Ari's sword that thankfully didn't talk. Ari had told her that Jack could talk because Olu couldn't hear him. Ari somehow knew sign language. And everything about everyone there. Ari's explanation was that she had drams that told the past, present and future every night. She was a dream companion. She accompanied everyone there on their life, every night unless she was with them. Ari told the stories of the People there but she never told the stories of her own scars although, Ari literally can't feel pain. She'll Just keep going in battle without even showing pain. Ari has won 7000 to 1 without a scratch. Olu had heard that Ari was scary in battle. Ari was going to teach Olu and her friends to fight with the weapons that she used, so they could protect themselves in battle which Ari knew was coming. Later. Biana loved Olu's hair because it was so long and Biana could do so much with it. Olu didn't like not having her hair in a braid. Of course she had to braid it a special way so it wouldn't drag on the ground but Biana found other ways. This was going to be a long quest.
