"We lost that leech again!" Paul shouted in the forest. Though, Paul's anger for the first time was incomparable to Sam Uley's violent urge to strangle Jacob Black. That could be shown by his shaking and glares towards Jacob, which Jacob had not noticed until now.

"What did you do?!" Sam questioned. There was no doubt that there was anger in his voice; the whole pack could feel it. Everyone had seen the images go through Jacob's mind, the tears falling down Jasmine's face and the look of heartbreak on her face. 

"Sam, I can explain," Jacob started. But for once in Sam's time as alpha, he would not hear it,

"I gave you my approval for a reason; I thought that you would never break Jasmine's heart. That was the promise that we had made, and you threw it away as if it was trash," Sam started with anger. Jacob knew that this would happen, though he tried to plead his case again,

"Sam, it was for the greater good. She needed to be protected, and being in a relationship with her now would not help her," Jacob said. Sam's shaking was even stronger than before.

"You idiot! Do you know what she had been through?! You made her feel even more heartbreak now; she had lost her parents! What don't you understand about that?!" Sam yelled. With that, the forest was silent, as though nature knew that it needed to be quiet.

What no one in the pack had realized was that in Jasmine's haze of heartbreak, she had reached where the pack was sitting, listening to Jacob and Sam argue. When she realized it was them, she stood behind a tree, hoping to hear what the two men were arguing about. When she realized it was about her, she had decided to listen to what they had to say.

"What did you want me to say to her?! That we turn into wolves? That I imprinted on her? That I have been in love with her since the moment that I saw her?!" Jacob shouted. Jasmine's breath hitched, and hse was thankful that no one in the pack had noticed her yet.

"I wanted you to love and protect her. That was all that I wanted for Jasmine, to be loved and protected," Sam finished. What they did not realize was that plants were dying around them, the sprouts which were about to bloom soon were dying due to Jasmine's emotions. When she realized what she was doing, she tried to stop, but it was not happening. Then, Seth said,

"Guys! What's going on?!" Seth questioned in fear. That was when the pack had noticed that the once green area that they were sitting on, was now filled with weeds and dead sprouts. The pack looked around for the source of these changes, and Jacob looked in Jasmine's direction, frozen when he realized that she had heard everything. Jasmine was frozen due to Jacob finally noticing that she was standing behind a tree the whole time, hearing what they had said.

Jasmine awkwardly giggled and said,

"I guess we need to talk,"
