He said. Roughly. My wolf was already melting with the heat his body was radiating. It made me warm, but also his eyes darted shivers down my spine. I was warm yet felt cold.

My wolf was acting like a goof ball. Blushing, making kiss faces, seeing her mate. His wolf.

But it wasn't the same for us humans.

It was very different, how could we love someone just by a glance. Just by knowing that we are soul mates. You cannot. How can we instruct our heart, that I want you to fall in love with this guy.

No doubt, him being my mate, I knew I was to lose my heart to him. His presence made me complete. Yet I cannot say that I love or actually like him right now.

We are strangers, now with the knowledge that we are binded with eachother, forever.

I knew I zoned out a bit, and this was the time when I stared back at HIS eyes.

His hands circle tightly around my waist, as he burries his face in my neck.

But before he does that, I noticed the change.

His eyes weren't brown anymore they were black. It was his wolf who took control and not him.

It was not hurtful but sad? That here I was in my human form with my human mind in control as we met eachother but he gave the control of his mind to his wolf.

He inhaled my scent, and left small wet kisses on the region of my neck which was supposed to be mark.

Not now. I don't even know him.

My eyes shut my the pleasure, as he kisses the special part of my neck.

"You are mine. I am leaving my scent on you. You are just mine." I hear him whisphering his tone a little higher.

I couldn't handle it, the pleasure. It was something so new for me. I haven't felt this, ever.

I gulp hard.

And just to make the air around normal.

Or I should say awkward.

I utter," My CV is on the desk."

Laksh pulled back almost chuckling. His black orbs now brown.

But now I think I prefer the wolf, human is so cold.

"You concentrate." My wolf speaks as she covered her face with her paws.

"You look cute blushing." I tell her as I could see her rolling around chuckling.

"I am not. Not blushing." My wolf told me or I should say defended herself.

"Okay, as you say!" I smirk.

Before we could continue our talk, my mate spoke.

"What?" My mate asks, his tone turning hostile.

Quite literally. Though.

"I am here for an interview.. for the job? So my CV is on the table." I smiled as I moved past him taking the file and handing him over.

He looked at me confused.

"You are appointed. I don't need to see the CV." He says as if he just took the most vague decision of his life.

Excuse me.

"Oh no no. You have to first interview me. Check my CV. My education background. Then compare me with the other candidates. And then choose the best." I order

"You are teaching me how to choose an employee?" He smirks as he takes a seat of his chair.

"No. But I am definietly telling you to choose me only after u compare me with others and if you feel I am worth it." I justify.

"And why should I listen to you?" He asks raising his eyebrows.

"I am Ragini. You need to listen to me." I offered.

"Not a good reason." He tsks.

"Uhmm, I am your mate?" I try.

"Try harder." He scoffs.

"I am the Beta of the other pack. Second in the rank. I can order you as well, I also am the substitute Alpha when my Alpha is not presnt. And you cannot disrespect a Beta and a substitute Alpha." I complete, smirking.

Its my turn.

Hehe, I got to use my Beta card. But see infront of whom I used it!

I look so feminist, I know he might be a wolf from a lower rank or even just a warrior wolf, and I have no no issues with that. He is mate.

But how can I say this to him? He would feel bad, oh I feel so bad. How bad can I be?

How can I disrespect any wolf, lower to my rank? I am a Beta and I shoud respect everyone.

"So you are using the Beta and Alpha card?" He gives an expression I couldn't comprehend.

Smirk? Taunt? Pride?

"Wait, also one more thing. I wanted to tell you something." I say nervously.

His eyes darken at this, mostly anticipating a bad news.

Chillax.

"I wanted a permission. As said, I am the Beta. And my pack needs me, I cannot just leave the pack."

I pause. Everyone knew if a female wolf meets her mate and her mate is from another pack, we are often bound to change the pack, so that we could stay closer to our mates.

"So if I move to your pack, I would want to still be a part of my pack. Atleast some matters which I cannot leave. And I hope you talk to your Alpha about this. And if he doesnt agree, I can try? Or i can ask Sanskaar to tell him. Sanskaar knows him i guess." I mutter.

"You don't know my pack's Alpha?" He says as he gets up and walks to the place where i stood.

"Na, never met. But I have heard about him." I tell him as if sharing secrets I utter.

"What?" He asks with a sly smile on his face.

"Can't tell. He is your Alpha. And soon mine too." I tell him truthfully.

"A secret, promise." He says.

He looked genuine.

"Promise?" I ask again.

"Yes."

"Okay, so I heard he is arrogant, and uhmm.." I start walking across the room while telling him whatever I heard about his Alpha from my pack members and Sanskaar.

Arrogant, rude, anger is his second name, determined and the list went onn and onn.

I could see anger on his face, atleast some.

"See I told you, you would be angry. He is your Alpha after all. I am sorry. But frankly, I have never met him. So I am not sure of all these being true or not."

"And?"

"What?"

"You almost added every adjective on his behaviour. Nothing on his looks?"

"Uhmm," I try remembering.

"See no one told anything about that but they did describe how well he has maintained his pack. Like a father. Head, a true head. So I guess he would be old? Some one experienced?" I tell him.

Happy with his mate, and children. Right?" I complete smiling at him.

Fear.

That came in my mind as soon as I saw his face. His orbs darkened. Yet brown enough. A power was radiating off him.

A power which made my wolf, want to bow.

Want to respect the wolf infront of her.

Wasn't he our mate? So why bow down?

Equal shares right?

"Alpha, theres an emergency in the pack." Suddenly Rohan barged in the room.

Emergency in his pack.

Wait.

What the hell?

He is THE ALPHA? On whom I gave an essay of how bad or rude or blah blah and even old he is? Infront of him.

I gulp. Very audibly and shift my gaze to him.

He was looking at me with a winning expression.

"I am coming to the pack house." He ordered Rohan who closed the door and left.

I was ordering him thinking I am a Beta.

And here? He is a fucking Alpha?

He was staring at me intently.

He walked so close leaving no space between us.

Bending, he whispered in my ears,

"Miss Luna, Welcome to the company."
