"Ugh so close! I can seriously feel it now, I'm almost there," Chanyeol smacks his cheeks a few times before closing his eyes and mentally preparing himself for another try in shifting. He and Jungkook have been practicing all over the weekend, and still Chanyeol hasn't succeeded.

Jungkook is fully over his rut now, so he's just waiting for Taehyung to be done with his heat too. A way to keep him distracted is trying to make Chanyeol shift, but so far it has been impossible. But he's getting better, his body is showing progress and Jungkook can smell how his wolf is starting to get there. It's hard to explain how a shift happens, but somehow he got it put into words that Chanyeol understood and now they have just been trying and trying for hours on end.

All hope seems lost, but they are not going to give up just yet.

When it's time for them to take a break, Jungkook is surprised when he suddenly smells some very familiar wolves coming their way. Chanyeol seems to notice them too, but he only knows Taehyung's scent and not the others'.

"Who are they?"

"Friends from school. Don't worry, they are helping us," Jungkook states. He smiles when he sees Taehyung is following along with them. It feels like they haven't seen each other in forever, even though it has only been a small week since then. The longing just makes it so much harder and Jungkook is glad to finally be past that state. He's sure Taehyung is too.

Chanyeol frowns and Jungkook tilts his head in confusion when Jimin suddenly starts sprinting towards them, a big smile on his face.

"Jungkookie!" he yells and holds up a note in his hand, waving it around like a maniac. Jungkook squeeks in surprise when he's pulled into a tight hug by the omega. Jimin is like a koala around him and Jungkook honestly doesn't know what to do. Sure, he knows Jimin is touchy, but never to this level.

"J-Jimin what-"

"We found it!" the boy laughs and let's go of Jungkook, shoving the note into the raven's face, "we found his name!"

Jungkook's eyes grow big and he grabs around the paper, studying the letters written there.

Ga Sehun.

[A/N: No, it's not the Sehun many of you are thinking about, I just needed a name that was close to Suho 😂 Also, the names mentioned further down are not meant as real life people, it's just the names I could think of]

It's really true. Suho is not the pack leader's son? Holy shit, this is like the tea of the century.

"And there's more! See," Jimin grabs the paper and turns it around, "you better thank us. We have almost become criminals to collect this information."

Jungkook quickly nods a few times and looks back at the paper, seeing a whole lot of stuff written there.

"What is it?" Chanyeol asks and walks over to them, Jimin gives him a confused look, probably wondering about the scent of the younger.

"They found out, Suho- I mean Sehun is your mate's name? He's only 16... I always though he was older than me..." Jungkook says and gives him the note. Chanyeol almost can't believe it, his hands are shaking as he looks down at the information. Suho is not the rich asshole they have know all this time he's... a poor kid adopted into a rich family. What the fuck.

"T-This is..." Chanyeol places a hand against his forehead, "I don't even think you understand what this means for me."

The others give each other a look and glances back at the pure-blood.

"Then, what does it mean?" Yoongi asks. They heard about the new boy but they have never met him so they don't really know what his deal is.

"I... I have be searching for this for the last 5 year... I have suffered all this time and now... I might don't have to anymore," the boy says and a smile forms on his lips. However, it soon disappears when he really thinks over what's this means.

Before he can say anything about what's running around his head, Jungkook moves forward and places a hand on the boy's shoulder, smiling at him.

"You probably hoped he would change his mind along the way, right?"

Chanyeol stares at him for a few seconds before casting his eyes downwards, nodding ever so softly. Even though Suho is a dick, he's still Chanyeol's mate and it's hard to come to terms with the fact that they will never be together. Even the moon godess can make mistakes and this is clearly one of them. It's heart-breaking.

"I'm sorry," Jungkook says. All the boys behind him are giving him sad glances, but also looking at Jungkook with slight confusion. Everyone aside from Yoongi of course, he's the only one who truly knows how amazing Jungkook can be to speak with. He just understands better.

"It's okay, I guess 5 years have been enough for me to tear myself up about it. That will be over now," he says and grins. Jungkook takes this as a cue to let his hand fall and turn towards his friends.

"When can we do it?" he asks.

"Tuesday, that's when Suho is in school. He's off on Mondays, don't ask me how I know," Jimin says and smirks. He knows everything about everyone, he's like a male Gretchen Wieners.

"Well, I guess we'll have Chanyeol join us there..." Jungkook says, wondering how they are going to make all of this happen.

"Sure, I can do that," the said male states and Jimin looks at him for a while. Then Jungkook, then Chanyeol again.

"Is he the guy you were-" Jimin hints to Jungkook, pointing between them. At first, Jungkook is confused but then he realizes what he asked of Jimin a few days prior.

"Oh! Yes..." Jungkook gulps as he watches the omega get a sly smile and cross his arms over his chest. He takes a few steps towards Chanyeol who just frowns at him, wondering how an omega can even get this close without freaking out. He doesn't know the smaller male's name, but Jimin just walks up to him like he has no care in the world.

"You sure are a kid, how old are you?"

Chanyeol is flabbergasted for a second at the mean remark. He looks up and down at the smaller male and crosses his arms as well.

"Excuse me, you don't look very mature yourself... and I'm 16," he huffs in an offended manner.

"Oh really? Well, for a 16 year old you sure are bad at comebacks," Jimin says and looks at his nail, full-on sass mode.

"W-What? Who are you even? Why are you talking to me like that?"

"Because clearly you are in the need of some make-overs. I mean that clothes went off the market year ago honey~"

"What? I love my style!" Chanyeol says, taking a step further towards the omega. This immedietly makes Hoseok and Yoongi take a step forward too, but to their surprise, Jungkook stops them.

"Ugly!"

"You're ugly!"

They keep throwing mean comments at each other, not minding the boys enjoying the show, totally confused. Chanyeol spits something about Jimin's hair and the said male just giggles.

"Sure, Dumbo!" Jimin says and licks his lip, hiding his fear, "and yes. I was refering to the ears."

Oof, that was too damn mean.

Jungkook cringes and Taehyung puts a hand in front of Jimin's mouth from behind. However, whatever was meant with this has seemed to work because not even a second later, a pure-blood wolf stands before them on all fours, showing it's teeth.

Well, that was quick.

The guys gasps and Jungkook just smiles the biggest smile ever. He knew the training had worked! Finally! He's certain Chanyeol has been pissed off many times in his life before, but he didn't have the training back then. Now, Jimin was able to make him mad and his wolf knows what to do in order to protect his human from any more shitty words being thrown his way.

Jungkook asked Jimin a while back to help him out because he knows Jimin is the king of being sassy and he can very easily piss someone off with his confidence. It seems like Jungkook was right.

"I didn't mean it! I didn't mean it!" Jimin freaks out and pushes him and Taehyung backwards, "I actually think your ears are super cute!"

Jimin tries to defend himself, however, the wolf isn't even paying attention to him. It's staring down at it's feet, clearly trying to realize what have just happened. It worked. It really worked! It only took endless hours of training but of god it was so worth it.

Without even thinking, the wolf runs towards the group with it's tail wagging like crazy behind it. Everyone, except for Jungkook, jump back in surprise and fear, trying to get away from the huge animal. But Jungkook gets tackled by Channie and soon his entire face is getting licked uncontrolably. Jungkook yelps and tries to get away, but the wolf ends up lying on top of him to give him a type of hug, therefore making it impossible for him to move.

At first, Jungkook is totally frozen and unable to think straight. However, a comfortable feeling settles in his chest and he smiles, reaching out and patting Channie on the head like a dog.

"You're welcome," he says, clearly catching onto the fact that the wolf was trying to thank him with all of it's heart.

It has been stuck inside a head for 16 years after all.

"Bye, see you Monday!" Jimin yells and waves out of the window of Hoseok's car. They offered to drive Chanyeol home after the biggest moment of his life, considering the boy was completely naked once he switched back. That didn't stop him from hugging the others to death though, which was quite an unnesesary experience for them.

Nonetheless, it was amazing to see the joy the pure-blood felt.

"Bye," Taehyung and Jungkook wave as they watch the car disappear, leaving the two of them alone for the first time in a week. Silence falls over them as they stand beside each other, both of them a little awkward after what happened.

"So... it's good to see you again... I missed you," Taehyung is the first to break the ice and he turns towards Jungkook so he can look at him better.

"I'm sorry about what happened... that was... ugh, so embarrassing," he says and hides his face slightly while giggling.

"N-No... it was my fault too," Jungkook says and his cheeks immedietly gets red from the shyness. He'll probably never make that habit go away when it comes to Taehyung. He's just so amazing it's impossible to stay calm around him.

The elder reaches out and places his hand on Jungkook's cheek - one of the few things Jungkook can actually deal with now.

"But I guess it was a good oppertunity for you to teach Chanyeol... it was really amazing of you, Jungkook," he says and smiles.

Jungkook gulps and scratches his neck slightly when Taehyung let's his hand fall. Taehyung is so good at praising him and it sets his heart on fire each time.

"It wasn't much, really," he mumbles.

"Wasn't much? Jungkook, you just changed his life," Taehyung laughs and grabs a hold of Jungkook's hands, "you made the world better for someone else. You should be proud of that."

Jungkook can't help but feel his chest tighten at that. He feels pure happiness from what Taehyung is telling him. Doing such a thing is just... something Jungkook has only dreamed of, so of course he gets emotional for doing something good for once.

"Thank you," he says and tightens his hold around Taehyung's smaller hands. The elder leans up and kisses Jungkook tenderly.

Ah, euphoria.

When Taehyung pulls back after a while, he looks deeply into Jungkook's eyes for a few seconds and then bites his lip in a nervous manner. Jungkook frowns a little at him, Taehyung is not one to get nervous like that.

"What's wrong?" Jungkook asks and Taehyung flinches.

Can he really ask him? Is it weird if he does? Maybe he'll seem all naive... he doesn't even know if Jungkook wants to...

Fuck it, yolo.

Taehyung takes in a deep breath and starts shifting his weight from leg to leg awkwardly.

"Well... tomorrow, my parents aren't home uhm... and since our heat and rut is over maybe... we could have like, a date?" he asks and smiles timidly.

Jungkook's connection between Houston and body has been lost. And he's definetly having a problem up there too.

Taehyung observes as Jungkook's very being stops working, only his blood vessels seem to be running just fine and pumping blood into the boy's cheeks as if he's about to fall dead right there.

No parents!? Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god-

"But it can wait! If you don't feel comfortable about it," Taehyung is quick to say, probably a little frightened about Jungkook's sudden inability to function.

He's quickly knocked out of his daze though.

"No!"

Okay, that came out a little louder than intended. It was like a scream basically. Jungkook gets even more red and gulps loudly, "I-I mean... I would love to h-have a date."

Fuck, that was so awkward. He starts debating in his head what on earth just happened there when Taehyung suddenly bursts out into laughter. The most beautiful sound known to mankind in Jungkook's opinion.

"You are so cute, I don't even know what to say," he dries his eyes from tears that were threatening to fall from laughing so much. He then looks back at his mate fondly, seeing how shy Jungkook is becoming for every second that passes. He reaches out and boops Jungkook's nose with his finger, startling the younger.

"So, can you come over at 7 pm? I'll order some food for us, considering I can't cook," he states and Jungkook smiles at that.

"Or we could make some together?" he suggests. Last time, when they made the cake, was one of the best memories for both of them so why not try out something a little in the same category.

"Sure. It will also be the first time you're at my house, right?"

"Y-Yeah," Jungkook replies.

"That's great then. I'm glad you want to Jungkook," Taehyung says and once against squeezes Jungkook's hands tightly. The raven simply does it back before they lean in and kiss again.
