VOLUME TWO-CHAPTER 14
Chapter Fifteen- Sarah's Arrival
Ateef went to the care center. It had full of people with aprons and people bedridden. When he went to the front desk, he knocked the table at the front desk manager.
"Excuse me, I am waiting for a patient who is about to be discharged" said Ateef.
"Which patient?" asked the front desk manager.
"Sarah Hussain" said Ateef.
"Will you please wait for ten minutes?" said the front desk manager.
He sat down in the waiting room. He was there along with a man of his age.
"Are you Ateef Mohammad, the journalist?" asked the man.
"Yes, you are?" said Ateef.
"I am Rahat. One of your batch mates and senior lecturer of Freshmen University" said Rahat (the man).
"Hold on a second... Rahat Ahmed? The popular boy of our batch! My best friend! How are you man? You look different. Last time I saw you, your hair was long, you had no glasses and look- your beard! You have little wrinkles in your forehead. What is your reason to be in the care center?" exclaimed Ateef.
"Man, I learnt things about life and I understood what to respect. My father is too old to take care of himself. Therefore, I have to discharge him. What is your reason to be here?" said Rahat.
"My wife. Remember Sarah?" asked Ateef.
"Yes, what happened to her?" said Rahat.
"Sometimes ago, she was acting crazy. She's diagnosed as multiple personality disorder. She played a dual role that I couldn't imagine. When I kiss her she cures" said Ateef.
The doctor came along with Sarah.
"SARAH!" exclaimed Ateef.
"Ateef, my love, I miss you baby" said Sarah.
Sarah and Ateef gave a tight hug. Rahat had the tears of joy about the reunion. Suddenly, an old man came along with a male doctor.
"Hey son, you are looking fit!" said the old man.
"Hi dad. I am sorry, I've let you down. We are divorced because I realized that you are the one who gave me the straight path. Your grandson is with me" wept Rahat.
Rahat hugged his dad (the old man).
Meanwhile, Mathin went to her home. She saw that the house was dark. As she opened the door, everyone jumped out with joy by crying surprise.
"Happy Birthday!" chanted the whole family.
Mathin smiled by hugging Mohona.
"Welcome! You are spinning yourself for 23 years" said Limon.
Suddenly, they heard a shout of a familiar voice. When they came out, it was none other than D.M. Ghani.
"Hello Limon. How can I help you, my baccha (child)?" said Ghani pointing at Limon. "And the two pimps of Limon, whom he had freed, is it? Welcome back from the dead, my baccha. So are you Mathin, you've always framed me but look at your betrayer, Ataur Rahman Limon. I have escaped from jail..."
"You Bastard! How dare you to come in this slum?" shouted Limon.
"Baccha, it is Rahim who was disguised as one of the slum people and called me every night" said Ghani.
The people in the slum looked surprised. Some people are questioning about if Ataur was Limon, the honest thief.
"Yes, he's the thief-people. Just ask why, Mathin" said Ghani.
After that, Mathin sat in the pond at the back of her house. When Limon came, she said "Leave my life! Why did you lie about yourself Ataur?"
"I had no chance. There are past things that should be told now. I hope it's the right time:-
Fifteen (almost sixteen) years ago...New Years Eve, I got a Golden A+ in my HSC result. When I was out of the hostel, I went to the village to inform my parents about the result. Unfortunately, I saw crowded people stood in unity. When I came near, I saw the dead bodies of my parents. I asked some people what really happened. Some said it was a murder. Whom can I trust? That was the problem.
I became a home servant of someone non trustable- D.M. Ghani. He used to beat his wife so much that he will regret much later. He thinks of the discrimination about men and women. I was always frustrated by what he was saying. He's a criminally insane person that no one can trust...
