Vera's POV

"For the tenth time Flo, he didn't tell me anything! Stop asking over and over!!" I warn Flo as she hangs on my neck trying to get whatever she thinks Collins told me.

I got to admit.. I hate lying to my friend..
She's been nice to me ever since I met her, I can't be the first to hurt her by lying and protecting her 'husband'

I hope this ends sooner or later.

"I'll stop asking till after the match. Let's get out of here" she says getting up from her side of the seat.

Fifteen minutes standing outside the court and we're still waiting for Roseveille to get here..
Slow as I expected.

"Veraaaaa are we actually going to wait for them to come?" Florence whines

"Gosh my legs are killing me!" she adds

I was about to respond by saying the same thing but the bus had already dropped them off and they started marching towards the court like ants.

My eyes almost at the sight of...

Tommy?!!!
He plays?
Oh my goodness! What if he's good?

He's going to make Tobi look like a fool!
Shit shit shit!

It was like the universe was enjoying tormenting me, things got worse when I saw two female heads. Two familiar ones

Davina and Sallie??

They're cheerleaders?
Bitches are always cheerleaders anyways..

"Ughhh these two are here??" Florence asks in disgust sighting them

I was about to say the same thing too..

"Let's go!!!" the cheerleaders of Roseveille started chanting

Drama queens
We've not even started the game yet..

"Well you guys should wish me luck.. They look taller than I expected" Tobi says preparing with the rest of the players

He's damn right..
I mean Tommy's taller, more fit than ever..
His face hasn't changed a bit except for the masculine growth.
His full length hair. His pink lips grew to have an even brighter colour.

His appearance is like that of...

Tobi??

But Tobi is wayyy better..

Tommy watches me as he enters the court.

He scans me within a matter of seconds

Nope! He definitely eyed me.
I stare back at him with more confidence than ever

Mr Universe wasn't enjoying me re-gain my confidence I lost in the past, Sallie and Davina began to giggle at Florence and I.

Florence eyes them viciously..
And I gotta admit, that stare was damn ass nasty!

They felt threatened and looked away in defeat.

Haha! Take that!

I have less confidence in my school

It was like Flo read my mind, she patted my back and said "They can't stand a chance"

I hope she's right

30-10 was the scores..
And guess who the fuck won this shitty match??!

We did!

Turns out Roseveille had their first basketball match EVER.. Because I don't remember them having any basketball team while I was there. It was a huge relive

Tommy scored six points out of the ten.. It really seemed he tried his best to out shine my school but he didn't try hard enough.

Funniest part of the match was that the Cheerleaders kept cheering on even when they basically knew they were dead meat.
Half of the cheering squad gave up and went to get refreshed, Salllie, Davina and a few other suckers kept yelling "Go Roseveille!, We got this! Let's do this!" it went on like that till the end of the match.

Florence kept laughing, she almost exploded..
The irony was that I didn't really make fun of them.. Yeah, they deserve what they got but I was satisfied enough not to laugh at their loss..
Karma did the work!

Now all teams are saying their "you did well" shake to each other.

What's the point of lying to a team that didn't even reach half of the winner's score??
They definitely did not do well!

"Hey let's go congratulate Collins and the rest. He did a great job today" Florence says as she gets up

What's she talking about??
Collins only scored ten points
Tobi scored fifteen points for the team

He really did well

"Wouldn't it be awkward?? I mean Roseveille lost" I say feeling the urge to stay as far away from the court

"It wasn't awkward when those two little brats insulted you and that other guy pretended as if he didn't know you. So now, do you want to congratulate your real friends or feel bad about the ones that deserted you when you really needed them? " Florence asks

I sigh and smile

"Real friends it is"

"Better, if you hadn't picked, I would've forced you anyways" she says dragging my hand to the court.

She was still going to drag me if I accepted anyways

"Oh my gosh Collins that was a great move you did there!" she yells force to get her 'husband's' attention

He turns around and smiles at her

"Told you no one could resist my sexy moves" he says walking up to us

Florence let's go of my hand and walks to his direction.

You can't leave me here! I scream in my head

Now I'm alone while everyone is hugging or either consoling each other

"Told you we'll beat them" A voice calls my attention from behind

Tobi..

I laugh at his statement

"You did more than beating them, you literally destroyed them" I say

"I would've done worse but I went easy on them since you knew a few from the school" he says

"Yeah sure" I laugh at his flirty joke

Was he flirting with me??
Gosh I don't know!
Teach me!!!

"Gosh Veraaaaa! You should've seen the look on Sallie's face when she saw me congratulating the rest of the team. She looked miserable" Florence announces as she returns with cotton candy and with Collins behind.

Awww such a cute couple..
When will mine happen??

"Isn't that one of those lousy cheerleaders??" Tobi says with disgust

Aawww we both have one thing in common... Hating Sallie and Davina

"Yesssss! They couldn't just give up after they knew they were done for. They have no shame" Collins spits out with disgust

Florence and I look at each other and laugh with our eyes

They both feel the same way...

"Let's get out of this crowded place" Tobi insists to the three of us

"Right behind you" Collins says looking past the court with a frown..

We all agree and walk away without turning back.

And that's how my weird friendship with the annoying Collins began

And my sweet relationship with Tobi (P. S WE'RE STILL FRIENDS)

I'm looking forward to the day where he's going to pop the question. I'm not talking about the 'will you marry me one', that question will be after he pops the first question..

We'll I hope..

If the universe ever wakes up from his short nap and decides to snap me out of my little fairytale..

Basketball just ain't my thing..
