Riley was picked up at school by her mom. She went to the doctor because she had to figure out what was wrong with her knee. Riley was so nervous. She was shaking a lot! She was waiting longer than the appointment was. Turns out nothing too bad happened to her knee. The doctor said that it will be sore for a while, but it will heal better than her arm and shin. Once she got in the car, she texted Nathan.

Riley- "Hey"

Nathan- "Hey! How did the appointment go?"

Riley- "Good! Nothing really happened to my knee. The doctor said that it might hurt for a while because of how I landed on it, but it will heal faster then my shin and arm."

Nathan- "That's great! How are you feeling?"

Riley- "Pretty good! This definitely made me feel better! You?"

Nathan- "I am pretty good! Sorry about earlier. I hope that doesn't make thing weird for us."

Riley- "No, it's fine! I hope it doesn't either. At least we know how we feel towards each other, though!"

Nathan- "Yeah, I guess that is a plus! Do you want to hang out later?"

Riley- "I would love to, but where and when?"

Nathan- "How about the park, tonight after dinner? Like maybe, 7?"

Riley- "That sounds great!"

Nathan- "Great! I would love to get to know you better!"

Riley- "Me too!!"

Nathan- "How are your parents going to feel about you going to the park with me though?"

Riley- "I hate to lie, but I can't tell them that I am with you. My mom knows that I like you and if she found out that I am hanging out with you, she'd never let me go or she would be spying on us."

Nathan- "So what are you going to tell them?"

Riley- "I guess that I am going out with Jess."

Nathan- "Yeah, I guess that is a good idea."

Riley- "I'm full of them! Haha! Just kidding!"

Nathan- "Haha! I have to go now. I have practice. I'll see you later. Bye!"

Riley- "Okay. Have fun! See you later! Bye!"

Riley was so excited for tonight that she couldn't help but text Jess.

Riley- "Hey"

Jess- "Hey! What going on with you?"

Riley- "Not too much, right now at least. You?"

Jess- "Not much. How are you?"

Riley- "Amazing and excited! You?"

Jess- "I am good! I don't want this to sound like I'm not happy that you are so happy, but what is going on that you are so happy?"

Riley- "Oh my goodness! Nathan asked if I wanted to go to the park later with him, and of course I said yes! I am not sure if he thinks of it as a date, or if it is him just wanting to get to know me, which is what he said to me."

Jess- "Oh my goodness!! That is amazing! Also, I am pretty sure it is a date. What did your parents say? I thought they would have said no!"

Riley- "I didn't ask them about Nathan. I asked if I could go out with you. They said yes. I knew that if I asked about Nathan, my mom would either say no, or she would spy on me. What choice do I have?

Jess- "Wow! Brave of you!"

Riley- "Yeah. I guess so. I have to go. I will talk to you later. Bye!"

Jess- "Okay. Bye!"

Riley then went to help her mom with some stuff. All she could think about the whole time was about her "date". She went to her room afterwards and fell asleep.
