That night Riley didn't know what to do. Usually she goes out in her backyeard and either works out or shoots a bit. She couldn't really do that now. She was so board. The night got worse and worse as it went on. Eventually, Riley thought this: "You know what! I am going to bed. There is nothing better for me to do."

She started getting ready for bed. It was a challenge. She worked it out though. She eventually finished getting ready. She was in bed, about to shut off her light that is next to her bed when she heard a knock on her door. "Come in." It was her mom.

"Hey hunny. How are you doing?"

"Okay."

"Are you really okay?"

"Not really. Mom, it is only the first night and I am already dying! Is there anything I can do?"

"Not really, but you will be just fine! Trust me! Hey, now you can focus on some cute boys."

Riley blushed.

"Is there anyone you are thinking about right now? Your face is like bright red! Please tell me if there is someone!"

"There is someone. That is all the information you get!"

"Please, tell me more. I won't tell anyone."

"I guess. His name is Nathan. He plays on the boys middle school team. He is in 8th grade as well. My teacher saw us together and thought we were more then friends. Can you believe that?"

"With you, honestly, yes. What does he look like?"

"He is tall, blue eyes, brown hair, kind of shy, with people he isn't too good of friends with at least."

"Sounds cute! Now, your birthday is in a couple days. What do you want?"

"To play soccer."

"Something more realistic for right now."

"Soccer gear."

"Anywhere you want to go?"

"Pro soccer game."

"Fine. Let's go."

"Thanks, mom!"

"I think you should get some sleep now."

"Okay. Goodnight mom!"

"Goodnight, sweetheart!"
