Kazuichis pov

I looked up at the cruise ship with a nervous feeling in my chest. We've packed all the bodies onto the boat and plan to bury them once we return. Today we finally get to go back home.

But am I ready?

I suppose it never really settled in that they're gone. I could always feel their presence on this island. Once I stepped onto this boat they're gone forever. I don't want that!

"kazuichi" hajime looked at me with a concerned expression "are you ok? You look spooked"

I looked away "I don't want to go home"

"huh?" fuyuhiko raised an eyebrow "but weren't you the one bitching about going home this entire time?"

"yeah but that was back when I thought my friends could come back with me!" I yelled with tears in my eyes "but now their gone and I'm scared. I don't want to leave them behind. I don't want them to disappear!"

"kazuichi" sonia muttered softly.

Hajime walked up to me and pulled me into a hug "they won't disappear kazuichi. They'll live in our memories forever. Now let's move on and live our lives for them!"

"ok" I clung to his white shirt as I sobbed quietly.

He always knows the right thing to say.
