Ten years later

"hajime!"

I was awoken by my husband kazuichi who was holding our daughter cherry in his arms.

"I woke up to our little girl trying to help herself to a midnight snack" kazuichi muttered, clearly annoyed at getting woken up so late.

"sorry" she muttered into her mothers chest.

"yeah your going to be sorry once I'm finished with you-"

"now there's no need for that" I said quickly "hand her over"

He sighed and handed her over to me. She immediately cuddled into me. I'm not ashamed to say that my daughter has me wrapped around her little finger. With those baby blue eyes and chubby cheeks who can blame me. She freaking adorable and she knows it!

"so your waking up your poor mother looking for snacks" I tried my best to look stern.

"I thought I could get another donut" she muttered guiltily.

"you little scamp!" I ruffled her messy pink hair, making her giggle "now you cuddle down with mommy and daddy and get some rest!"

"kay!" she grinned.

"should we really be rewarding her for bad behaviour" kazuichi groaned.

"relax baby it will be fine!" I pulled him into a cuddle "now let me cuddle with my two favourite people in the world"

This immediately softened kazuichi up. He cuddled down into my side as cherry fell asleep on my chest. I smiled at them. After four years of living with this small family I know exactly how to resolve any conflict!
