(takes place after chiakis execution)

Hajimes pov

"chiaki!"

I reached out my hand to try and grab her. I can't do this. I can't let her die. Not like this! I was about to grab her when...

"Ahhh!"

I sat up in bed, my hand reaching towards nothing. It was all a dream. Dose that mean that chiakis execution was also just a bad dream?

A smile spread across my face. Of course. It had to be a bad dream. Not even nagitos crazy enough to pull that off! I'm going to go see chiaki right now. I bet she'll have a real laugh at my crazy dream.

I ran to her cottage and knocked on the door. No answer. I shook my head fondly. She must be sleeping in again!

"chiaki come on out. I had a crazy dream I want to tell you about" still no answer.

I started getting desperate. I banged on the door until my hand hurt "CHIAKI PLEASE COME OUT!"

"hajime what are you doing" I turned around to see kazuichis shocked face.

"sorry" I muttered softly "I know it's rude to knock on a girls door like that but I really have something I want to talk to her about"

"hajime chiaki was executed yesterday" kazuichi muttered in disbelief "did you forget?"

I froze "so it wasn't just a bad dream?"

He shook his head "I'm afraid not"

At that point I broke down. I cried helplessly into my hands. My reality was suddenly sinking in. That my new life was unfair and unjust. It had to be if someone as kind as chiaki was killed!

Kazuichi came up to me and gave me a hug "I'm so sorry hajime" he muttered softly before walking away. Leaving me all alone.
