Kazuichis pov (aged eight)

I hugged my knees as tears built up in my eyes. This is it. They really hate me just cause I got caught like an idiot. Now I'm never going to have friends again-

"are you ok?" I looked up in shock to see the new boy looking worriedly at me "I heard you crying on your own. I thought I should m-make sure"

I quickly stood up and wiped my tears away "sorry about that. You must think I'm really lame"

"no its fine" he smiled at me "wanna be friends?"

"you wanna be friends with me?" I looked at him skeptically "why? What have you got planned for me?"

"I don't understand what you're talking about" he muttered nervously.

"don't lie to me!" I yelled "I bet they sent you to me just to make me suffer more. Well I'm not falling for it!" I ran off as fast as I could.

When I finally got away I let out a sigh. Well that was stupid! That kid probably wanted to be your friend for real and you scared him off all because you were paranoid. Man dad would be so mad at me right now!

I looked over to see the kid sitting by himself looking sad. I felt a guilty feeling take over me. Come on kazuichi nows not the time to be a cowerd. You have to talk to him!

So I approached him.

"hello" I waved nervously.

"oh hello" he looked at me strangely.

I took a deep breath "listen man. I was hurt by some people in the past and it caused me to act like a big dumb jerk. Could we maybe start over?"

"sure" he stood up and held out his hand "I'm hajime Hinata"

"nice to meet you hajime" I shook his hand with a grin "I'm kazuichi souda!"
