Hajimes pov

I jumped in surprise. His finger just twitch! Could it be..

I looked up to see that kazuichi has his eyes open! He looked dazed and confused but he's definitely awake.

"kazuichi!" I yelled as I pulled him into a hug. He let out a surprise yelp. I chuckled. I missed that cute little scary cat!

"I don't understand" he muttered softly "I had ended my life hadn't I? I thought I was trapped in a never ending dream"

"we saved you and placed you in the neo world to keep you alive" I explained.

"I don't understand" he said with tears in his eyes "why would you go through all that trouble? Aren't I just a burden to you all?"

"of course not!" I yelled, making the boy jump "kazuichi I may have mistreated you and I'm sorry for that but I've never once thought of you as a burden. Your the person I can always rely on and your the person I fell in love with" I muttered the last part to myself.

Kazuichi burst into tears and wrapped his arms around me "oh hajime" he sobbed "I'm so relieved. I'm so sorry for being so rash!"

"it's ok love" I muttered as I rocked him in my arms "your safe now and that's all that matters"
