it was a beautiful winter night, snow glitter in the moon light. fireflies dancing across the sky, but in a little house it was anything but beautiful.

All lights in the house, off and all blinds, closed. The house a complete mess. Through the house was muffled sobbing, from a lump under the covers in a bed. The figure shifted moving the covers with him reveling blue messy and bunched up quills, matted blue and peach fur sat straight up on ends, his emerald eyes puffy and red from crying. The world known, sonic the hedgehog was the figure's name.

Now you probably wondering what happen, well you see sonic and shadow was boyfriend and boyfriend for 1 year thanks to natori trapping them in a no escape room for 2 days after she got annoyed about their fighting problem. They had their first kiss in that room and started dating right when they were let out. Of course amy hated natori for 2 months, but natori never liked her.

So anyway when it came to Halloween there was a costume party at club rouge. Sonic dressed up as a cat while shadow was a angel of death. In the middle of the party sonic was trying to get to the bathroom through the dancing mobians. That was when his blue ear heard moaning. He turned to a storage closet. He peeked through the crack to see rouge in her pirate costume, making out with someone. At first he thought it was knuckles, but the idea was shot down when he heard knuckles shout at the top of his lung "party rocking in this house tonight" well he was drunk. Sonic turned back to the closet door. He then saw to what he thought was a nightmare, black and red quills squished to the wall, half a angel of death costume was off, but the mobians face said he didn't want this. Rouge was squishing her lip onto shadow's, but he didn't kiss back. She then started to stroke his tail making him moan. From sonic's angle he couldn't see that shadow didn't want this, so he thought shadow was kissing back. Tears started falling as he slammed open the door. Rouge turned quickly startled while shadow stared in horror at sonic knowing what this looked like.

Shadow: s-sonic i-it's not what it looks like I swear

All sonic did was shake his while staring at the ground, he then turned around and dashed out the door still crying in pain and that's how sonic ended up in bed, filled with betrayal, sadness and anger. He hasn't seen shadow since then so he guessed he ran away with rouge and that was like a week and a half ago. Sonic hasn't left the house or talked to anyone not even tails. He even had thoughts of committing suicide. Outside the house stood shadow. He decided to give sonic sometime be for he confronted him. Shadow got himself ready for all the yelling, tears and pain that was coming. He took a deep breath and open the door that to his surprise wasn't locked. He looked around the dark messy house then started to sonic's room. The door to the room was crack open enough to see the whole room without being caught. Shadow saw sonic staring blankly at the ceiling. Then sonic started humming and singing.

shadow was hurt and ashamed he made sonic so sad and hurt. His heart was in pain. Sonic got up from the bed and went to the window, still singing.

Shadow could see the bitter hate in sonic's eyes, the look didn't fit him well, he wanted that happy cheeky smile that he was so use to, the light glint in his eyes that he loved. It was into then shadow noticed that he, himself, was crying, everything was falling apart in this relationship. Sonic walked over to the nightstand next to his bed and stared at the spot blankly

shadow was still guilty and sad, but was able to laugh at how bitterly sonic said amy's name. Though that little laugh was stopped when sonic said his name. It was just a bitter said as amy's. Sonic moved back to his bed and laid down, hugging his pillow

Sonic hugged the pillow tighter as more tears fell from his eyes. He looked back over at the nightstand, but instead stared at the picture on it. It was him and shadow on valentines day. He was hugging shadow while they put their hands together to make a heart, both smiling. Sonic frowned and glared at the picture. Shadow fallowed sonic's gaze to stare at it to, but instead smiling at it.

sonic through the pillow at the picture. It fell to the ground breaking the glass but not damaging the pic. He then started throwing pillows at anything in the room. All shadow did was stare. Millions of emotions whip through him. Sonic sang again, this time in anger.

sonic was still in rage he picked up the picture off the ground and walked over to the window.

Sonic: why shadow why? what did I do? You was the only one. The only person that actually understood me. Who didn't want me for the fame and popularity and saw the real me on the inside not the great hero on the outside. You saw sonic the hedgehog not sonic the fastest thing alive.

Shadow walked up to sonic silently and wrapped his arms around sonic.

Shadow: and I still do and that never ever changed sonikku

sonic jumped in surprise. How long has he been here.

Sonic: what do you want shouldn't you be with that bat, faker

shadow flinched at the tone of sonic's voice, emotionless yet cold like his use to be.

Shadow: what happened at the party wasn't what you think sonic. It-

before he could finish sonic turned around and slapped him. Shadow stumbled back and put his hand on his right cheek. He looked at the crying and angered sonic

sonic: what are you gonna say it was a big mix up!? That there was nothing you could do!?

Shadow sighed. He can't yell at sonic. he's not in a right state of mind

shadow: sonikku-

sonic: DON'T.CALL.ME.THAT.FAKER

shadow: sorry. Sonic on the day of the party it wasn't as you thought. Rouge pulled me into the closet drunk and when she's drunk you know she's strong. She pushed against the wall and started kissing me I tried to push her off, but it didn't work out. I swear I didn't do anything back, baby.

Sonic couldn't handle it anymore, too much thoughts and overwhelming emotions, he just brokedown. He slid to his knees crying into the palms of his hands. Shadow got up and wrapped his hands around sonic even though sonic was pushing away. Sonic then started banging on his chest, but shadow hung on.

Sonic: l-let me g-go!!

shadow: no, I will never let you go again. I love you sonikku with all my heart

sonic looked up at at shadow to see if he was lying. When he saw shadow wasn't he hugged him crying into his chest fur. After a few minutes of staying like that sonic calmed down.

sonic: i-i love you t-too shadow-kun

shadow smiled down at sonic and kissed him on the lips and sonic kissed back. When they pulled back shadow nuzzled into sonic's neck

shadow: now how about I see that lovely smile of yours

sonic laughed and smiled happily at shadow

Sonic: you know we never thanked natori for getting us together.

shadow smirked in a mischievous way. When sonic saw that a he shrunk away from shadow a little

sonic: um, shadow w-what's that look for.

Shadow got closer to sonic's ear still with the smirk on his face

shadow: that's for tomorrow, but you know I think it's time we both take a bath hmm

sonic's face went deep red and let's just say that night was something to remember.
