So What? (Lesbian Stories)
I've always felt pressured to pretend,
Worried I'll be judged or will offend,
But now I'm finally dying to confess,
That for me, women never impress,
And maybe to some it's always been plain to see,
That men are more my cup of tea!
You may be shocked, but men do nothing for me,
Gay is something I've always been comfortable to be,
It's all types of women that catch my eye,
Get my heart beating more than any guy,
Of their disgust some people make no move to hide,
But I'm proud I bat for the other side.
Choose one thing, you must be joking!
I reckon guys and girls are both smokin'!
Both men and women make my heart flutter,
And I no longer care if my sexuality makes you mutter,
I used to feel confused, ashamed, obliged to conform,
Now I realise being myself is my new norm.
Some love the novelty of a "gay best friend",
Others think bisexual is just a fad, following the trend,
Some reckon lesbians are scary and butch,
But clearly they don't know very much,
Our sexuality is who we are, our lifestyle,
And since coming out we've come miles.
People are Muslims, Jews, fat, thin, disabled, black or white,
Under no circumstance is discrimination right,
So I'm gay, so what?
We all think people are hot!
Fantasize, even have a cheeky Facebook stalk,
Because we're crazy about their jokes and the way they walk,
Just because I'm not straight,
Should that really stop me being your mate?
Surely it's better to encourage positive feelings of love,
Than claiming it's a crime against nature and God above?
