It's hard to stop thoughts,

When you can't even think;

So I lie here helpless,

Look what you've done to me.

I can't help but hear,

Though I try to ignore;

They say, "Change your mindset,"

But it's not mine, it's yours.

Why are thoughts now voices?

So each second's draining;

What is me and what's you?

The storm just keeps raging.

A hamster on a wheel,

In the midst of the sea;

Surrounded by monsters,

Every night the same dream.

What if sleep was still rest,

Rather than silent war;

You don't always stay long,

Still, you'll come back for more.

Take your claws off my life,

My mind's not your toy;

There's a hole to be filled,

You just widen the void.

They say it's in my head,

But that's where you reign;

I hide in the shadows,

And your color, it stains.

These words in my mind,

Where did they come from?

So strange, so absurd,

Slow-killing weapons.

Cut straight to the heart,

As if they were aimed;

Too much chaos to see,

Answers drowned in the rain.

Thoughts and words and feelings,

Dark and light and lies;

Something's missing, it's lost,

Impossible to find.

The world feels hopeless,

That's the aim of your game;

I know it, can't stop it,

'Cause you came here to play.

You thrive in the madness,

Where I suffocate;

There you wrap me in chains,

I'm too weak to break.

Pleas are of no use,

You're a merciless beast;

Confusion and fear,

In you they're complete.

Where dreams go to shatter,

The graveyard of hope;

And the dreamers may fall,

Walking on the tightrope.

Their sanity broke.
