I walk in a daze,

I'm out of control;

My mind is a maze,

Emotions to unfold.

No one would believe,

The thoughts running loops;

The ones you implant,

That morph into truth.

The danger I see,

But I'm crying wolf;

As the more I cry,

The more it's ignored.

Detached and cast out,

A queen overthrown;

Her kingdom runs wild,

Under foreign control.

How helpless I feel,

Can't see lie for lie;

And now lies I tell,

To myself deep inside.

Worthless, rejected,

Hopeless through and through;

Unloved, all alone,

Pointless to pursue.

Destined for failure,

Always an unknown;

Hard work won't pay off,

Still nothing to show.

How should I hate me?

You deserve the blame;

Your voice in my head,

Your claws in my brain.

What was I thinking?

But wait, that I'm not;

It's you in my shell,

A corpse that you bought.

Loss tells no weakness,

Wins call for no pride;

Victory's not just,

With secrets to hide.

History's tragic,

Deception is key;

So what was the trick?

What ploy won you me?

And so madness reigns,

Method all but gone;

You're a tyrant at best,

Abusing your pawn.

Puppet on a string,

You're working the chains;

Once was the master,

Now I'm the display.

Yet guilt overtakes,

Though I'm just your toy;

'Cause this world is cruel,

And love it exploits.

All sense is destroyed.
