Me: hey guys! This one-shot is requested by Deinahmarie, one of my awesome supporters! Let's get started!

Tenma: Akira-san, is it really my turn?

Me: of course tenma-kun! Looks like someone has fans *laughs in teasing manner*

Tenma: *looks at you then blush* T-Thank you...u-uhm, I'm a little new to the whole 'fan' thing so I hope you don't mind if I get a little flustered.

Me: don't worry, they won't mind. My readers are super nice! Well, let's get this show on the road!

You were at your last class of the day and you couldn't wait to get out! You got bored of listening to your teacher so you decided to focus your attention to the windows were you could see the heavy downpour of rain.

You then looked around until you caught the gaze of a familiar soccer playing brunette. The said boy then gave you a sincere smile that made your heart beat like crazy.

A small blush crept to your cheeks as you remember what happened a few days before.

You were on your way home after soccer practice. Being one of the new managers, you were one of the last ones to go home along with Kidou-san and Haruna-sensei. The sky was painted orange by the setting sun and the crisp autumn wind blew your (HC) hair across your face. Once you managed to fix your hair, you spotted a familiar looking figure leaning beside a tree just a few meters from where you stood.

It was weird since he usually left with his friends straight after practice. Seeing him now, you noticed that he looked a bit troubled and had a very noticeable blush forming on his face as he seemed to be in deep thought.

"Tenma-kun!" you said catching his attention. You then headed towards him noting how he seemed to stiffen as you got closer. "What are you doing here? Shouldn't you be with Aoi-chan and Shinsuke-kun?"

He sheepishly scratched the back of his head as his blush continued to get redder. He wouldn't look at you in the eye and seems to be having a hard time finding the right words to say. Finally, after taking a deep breath he said, "I wanted to walk you home. I figured you'd need some company since it was already getting dark."

Hearing this, you smiled and agreed.

On the way, you noticed how Tenma would steal quick glances at you and how his blush deepen every time your hand accidentally brush against his. You couldn't help but ask Tenma what was wrong.

"C-Can I tell you in private?" he asked. You nodded, curious to what was getting Tenma all worked up about. As a manager and a very close friend of his, you just had to know what was troubling him and make a way for you to be able to help him.

You followed him to his usual training spot near the riverbank. The sky was already dark and the streetlights were already turned on.

"So what do you want to tell me?" you ask.

Tenma turned to you with an obvious blush on his cheeks. His gaze bore on yours as he began to say, "Look (FN), I know that we've only met a few months ago and I know you probably think I'm crazy or weird right now, but I have a confession to make."

"Tenma..." you whispered. You were getting really confused and nervous, and you didn't even know why.

"The truth is I love you (FN)." he said boldly, "Ever since we've met, I found a certain attraction towards you. I love the way you would always take care of the team, your quirky personality, the way you laugh, the way you smile...everything about you is just so....amazing. (FN), I know I may not be the first guy to tell you this, but you're an amazing person. A one-of-a-kind girl."

He then gave you a sweet smile and held your hands and kissed it, "That's why I decided to confess my feelings to you."

"Tenma I..." you stopped short because of his sudden confession. You never knew he liked you that way, yet his words sounded so reliable. There was no shred of doubt, not a single bit. Still you didn't know how to react, how to feel or how to process the whole matter laid out for you.

Tenma saw how confused you were and unsure about the whole manner and smiled lovingly at you, "(FN), I don't need an answer right now, but I would want you to think about it."

After that, he made sure you were able to get home safely. When he was sure that you were at your doorstep, he dove in and gave you a quick peck on the lips and then went to his own home.

Ever since then, you would find yourself thinking about that day constantly and every time you look at Tenma –which is very often- you feel yourself getting warmer and your heat gets in an uncontrollable fit. You've been thinking about what he said and whether or not you should accept his feelings for you, but you were just too...scared.

You've read too many romance novels and watched too many tragically romantic movies to know how hard it is to be hurt by someone you love. You didn't want to get hurt, nor did you plan on getting hurt by someone whom you thought was your friend.

But still, the thought of being close to Tenma every day, to be called his girlfriend, to hold his hands and walk with him to school every morning...it all sounds so perfect.

You can't deny it, Tenma was funny, cute, dependable, and very very sweet. What girl wouldn't fall for him? And hello, there's no doubt that he's quite daring considering he kissed you on the lips. Kinda...

Without even noticing it, the class just ended and almost everyone was on their way out. Seeing that you were the only one left, you packed up your books and ran straight for the door...

Until someone suddenly stopped you.

"(FN)" Tenma said as he walked closer to you with an obvious shade of red on his cheeks.

"T-Tenma. What are you doing here? Shouldn't you be with Aoi-chan and Shinsuke-kun?" you said, suddenly feeling déjà vu.

Tenma laughed and walked closer to you, "Isn't that the same thing you asked me the day I confessed to you?"

You blushed so hard that Tenma thought it was adorable. "O-Oh yeah." You nervously laughed.

Tenma smiled, but after a few moments, he looked at you with all seriousness and asked, "Have you thought about ?"

"Though about what?"

"M-My confession..." he said in a pained tone. "I know I said I'd wait for you, but you can't keep me waiting. It feels like you're drifting away from me since that day and... I'm getting scared that you might-" he didn't even finish his sentence since he was so close to tears.

Seeing this, you realized how sincere Tenma was. You knew he was never the type to hurt anybody, especially not you.

"Don't let me wait forever." He said quietly.

"I won't." you answered as you stepped closer to him and kissed him fully on the lips. He was surprised at first, but he ultimately started to kiss you back. He angled your chin so that he could deepen the kiss more and you let him.

Every shred of doubt and fear left you as you melted into his sweet kiss. And when you pulled away, Tenma had a smile plastered on his adorable face, "So I take it that you love me now?"

You laughed and hugged him tightly, "Tenma, I've always liked you. It just took me a while to realize that my heart belongs to you."

He hugged you back and nuzzled his head on your shoulders, "It was totally worth the wait."

Me: whoah Tenma-kun, you sure know how to catch a girl's heart.

Tenma: I-I was nervous the whole time! I- I didn't know what I was doing. *starts panicking* I-I hope I didn't do anything wrong!!!!

Me: *calms him down* don't worry! You did great!!!!
