Skate Park
*Piper*
When Annabeth told me about the "skate park" thing I might have squealed. OK I did squeal. But in my defense those two were so cute.
The next morning I ran over to Annabeth's to help pick out an outfit. She said she didn't need help but I've seen her. I looked through her closet as she pouted that it wasn't a big deal.
"Listen. I'm not letting my best friend go on her first date without some help." I smirked at her reddened face. She scowled as I went back to looking at her clothes.
"First it isn't a date. Second I have gone on dates." She countered. Annabeth was sorely mistaken though.
"No. You went to Luke's football games. The bastard never took you on a real date. And you never officially went out. He wouldn't say you were his girlfriend because he wanted to be in the clear if he saw a better piece of ass. Which by the way is quite difficult because you have an adorable ass." I winked at her. She just folded her arms and went beet red. I giggled as I pulled out some clothes.
"There this should do." I laid out a black tank top, grey flannel, ripped up black skinny jeans, and some Converse. "Now I know you don't own a beanie so I brought a few. I think this one would go best." I tossed one out of my bag. It was a grey color that faded to black the closer it got to the top.
"It all matches your amazing eyes." I pointed out as I pinched her cheek. She swatted my hand away.
"It's still not a date." She grumbled as she past me. I laughed. Annabeth got dressed and I smiled at my work. She was always so pretty. I told her so as I started on her hair.

I stood at the entrance to the skate park. The fence surrounding it went up about ten feet. The sign saying welcome had been spray painted to no end. The entire park was made of concrete, which I expected.
Rails and pipes were mounted everywhere. Ramps and large holes much like the start of a pool filled in the landscape. There were quite a few kids already there.
One boy caught my eye though. He was surrounded by a bunch of other skaters, younger and older kids, that looked to him in awe. He was in one of the not-pools and doing a bunch of tricks.
I had never skated, nor did I learn the terms, so I was at a complete loss for how to say exactly what he was doing. But he seemed to do some impressive things. Finally he finished. The boy kick flipped the board into his hands. The crowd cheered and the boy took a sarcastic bow.
When he turned I realised it was Percy. His raven black hair was windswept from riding and his eyes were filled with a certain light.
He jogged over to me and I caught my breath. He wore a tight fitting white shirt with a leather jacket on. His jeans fit him just right too... God this boy... I mentally shook myself and smiled at him. He grinned at me as he ran a hand through his hair again.
I think it was to get rid of helmet hair, but it seems even a helmet couldn't take his messy mop of black hair tame.
"You made it!" He cheered. "Great! Now have you ever ridden a skate board?" He asked. He finally took in my appearance as well.
"No. Well, if you count my cousin having one when we were little and me sitting on it a few times then yes." I chuckled. Percy smiled and took my hand.
"Well then we need you to learn the basics. This way!" He seemed so excited! I'd never seen him so enthusiastic except when hugging his cousins.
He put his board down and helped me on. I didn't feel stable at all and almost fell. But Percy caught me and smiled. I smiled back and rested my hands on his shoulders, while fighting back a blush.
Percy upt his helmet on my head and smirked when it almost fell off. I fixed it to be tighter after taking my beanie off. Percy took my beanie and put it in his jacket pocket.
We laughed and joked around as he taught me how to ride a skate board. But most of the information went in one ear and out the other due to him touching my lower back to help me keep balance.
We spent about three hours there. Afterward we got ice-cream and walked around the actual park. We talked and joked about everything under the sun. I ranted a bit out my mother and Percy said if I ever needed to get away from her I was welcomed to stop by his place. I thanked him and might have blushed a bit.
We finally parted ways when it started to get dark. Percy said he had a lot of fun and I said I did too. God looking back I was a blushing mess.
I hit back down to earth with a thud from cloud nine when I entered my house. My step mom started screeching at me that I was late. My dad just read a book and the little monsters that they call sons were running around screaming.
I sighed, did my chores, and went to bed.
