When I tell my friends story ideas and one-shots and character back stories, one of my friends pointed out that all the characters fathers are missing/dead/never mentioned/left the family/may as well be dead or die in the story.

My friends asked me why that's the case. I didn't know. I started making characters at the age of 5, which is when my dad left my family. Me, being the naive child I was, thought it was normal for kids my age to have their dads leave them.

So I made my characters fatherless. And Walt Disney made his characters motherless because his mother died from...something..I don't know.

Y'all remember Lenny right? His father is a Element (the Sun) and he didn't know Lenny existed until Storm tried to kill him.

Storm's dad went partially insane since his mother was a lying bitch who deceived him. His dad is the Element, Storm. 

Inferno's dad died in the mind story. Flora and Aqua have two different fathers, who they never met. Kai's father was an asshole and the mother kicked him out. Shall I go on?
