Sorry, this chapter is a little bit short, but if I combined it with the next one it would be longer than it should, so here's your mini-chapter.

Puma's POV

Unlocking my door, I immediately went upstairs to get Connor some clothes. I should have some of Orion's laying around. I didn't even want to think about him though.

I handed Connor a black shirt with a leather jacket and dark blue jeans. Walking downstairs, I picked out a pair of brown leather shoes and handed them to him. When I turned back around Connor was in the process of taking off his shirt. My face burned as I turned around again.

"What's wrong?" Connor noticed my behavior.

"Connor, you have to wait for me to exit the room."

"Puma I'm an android-" he sounded confused.

"I know that," I interrupted him. "But eh- are you... like... anatomically correct? Completely?"

Apparently he didn't understand what I was getting at because he looked at me in confusion. "Well, I don't have all the internal organs that androids do but I-"

"You know what? I'm just going to go get Elektra, you change." I closed my eyes and shook my head before rushing out of my room.

I walked out and went to the basement, where I'd set down Elektra's sleeping spot. She was resting peacefully on a dark red blanket I'd given her.

"Elektra, wake up." I ruffled her fur. The puma lifted her head in excitement, giving me a lick with her rough tongue. "Connor and I are going on an adventure, to capture deviants. Will you help us? Tap once for yes."

I'd been warned by Kamski that Elektra is dangerously smart, but when I played around with her I realized she was almost human. She understood human speech and responded to you if you asked her a question. Of course it wasn't human language, but she would tap her huge paws on the floor in agreeance of disagreement.

Elektra tapped her paw over my hand, trying to form a smile with her mouth. I hugged her.

"Thank you, you'll be a huge help." We both got up and ran to the living room where I ate a chocolate bar. I still had some left and I wanted something sweet for the probably last time I'll eat.

"Are you sure you aren't hungry?" I heard Connor's voice behind me. Turning around, I saw him wearing Orion's clothes.

"Wow. They fit." I nodded.

"Are you sure you aren't hungry?" Connor repeated his question.

"I am, but it's not important. We need to get to Jericho."

"Not happening." Connor walked up to me and opened the fridge and started preparing me a sandwich. When he was done he handed it to me and I bit out of it. Only now have I realized how hungry I was.

"Thank you. Elektra let's go." I said to the cougar, but Connor pulled me back.

"Puma, I know there's a big chance we won't come out of this alive, but..." Connor fumbled with his words. "I want to know you're the best thing that's happened to me over the course of my life. From activation day to right now. And... I just so-"

He got cut off by me getting up on my tip toes and giving him a gentle kiss on his cheek. Connor opened his mouth to say something again but closed it, looking at me. We both started to lean in, and inches from each other I heard a fierce cat meow. Elektra had interrupted our moment. We turned to her, and her face clearly said "can't we do this later?"

"Hat!" I suddenly looked up and pointed at his LED. I slid across the room on my socks and threw him a hat. The atmosphere from our again almost kiss was gone, but it's just going to be something that forces me to keep going and live through this. I pulled on my sneakers and straightened my own jacket. "Well. Let's go find Jericho."
