<House Tour>

•••••

'I'd like to see my baby girl's home' Hana's mind kept the same sentence on repeat the whole journey back to her home. The fear of being on a motorbike was completely forgotten and instead, replaced by the fear of Daniel doing something while he was in her house. Just the two of them. Alone. My god, what if he does try anything? Hana thought. I don't know how to kiss someone!

The only way to keep herself sane was to be as modest as possible. There's no way he'll want to do anything with me. He's just joking! Gosh, 'baby girl?' That's so cheesy! There's no way in hell it means anything! Thoughts such as these managed to keep her going until they stopped outside her apartment building.

"Are we here?" Daniel turned around and asked, after turning the engine off.
"Y-yeah, we're here." Hana let go of her tight grip around Daniel, then proceeded to get off the bike. Daniel did the same.
"Is it okay if I come in?" He asked.
"Uh- it's fine! Come in! I only live here with Dahye." She stuttered, mentally cursing herself for letting her nervousness show. Daniel noticed her change in behaviour straight away, but was confused as to why. Does this mean she likes me? He pondered. Should I try something?

The girl fumbled with her keys a little before finding the right one for the front door, proceeding to unlock it. She opened the door, walking in and then turning to face Daniel, still holding onto the door, watching him as he walked in. She then closed the door herself, making sure not to turn her back for a second so she wasn't caught off guard. She watched as he stared at the black mark above the stove, she still hadn't cleaned that yet.

"Wait, is that the black mark from when Dahye told Jihoon that if he put oil in a pan and heated it to 230℃ then it would instantly cook his chicken?" Daniel asked, pointing to the mark.
"Haha, yeah it is." Hana awkwardly smiled at him.
"Why haven't you cleaned it yet?" He laughed, turning to face her.
"Because effort." She sighed.
"Wow, I've never heard a truer sentence." He sighed, and the pair laughed.

After the laughter, however, came a short period where the pair stared into each other's eyes. Daniel definitely felt something in his heart, but felt hesitant to do something, unlike his usual self, and decided to wait and see what happened. Hana, on the other hand, was internally screaming. She was ready to attack if he took as much as one step closer, and decided that breaking the silence was the best thing to do.

"So yeah! Welcome to my home." Hana turned away to look at anything else. "Here is the uhh- sofa, and that's the kitchen." She started walking towards the kitchen, Daniel following. "Yeah it's kinda small but it's enough; we normally get takeaways or eat out anyway." Hana smiled, still not looking at him.

"Cute." He smiled, looking at Hana without her realising.
"I mean I guess it's kinda cute." Hana replied. "I really like the chopping board because it has cute little chickens on it and-"
"I wasn't talking about the chopping board." Daniel interrupted her, catching her off guard. Shit. She thought. Quick. Think of something.
"Then, did you mean the stove? I know it's a little charred but sometimes it-"
"No~" He chuckled.

"The fridge?"
"Nope."
"The handles on the cupboards?"
"No." Fuck. What do I do!?
How about the uhh- the lights?" She suddenly pointed up in a jittery movement.
"The lights?" He mocked her.
"Y-yeah!" She replied. "The LED bulbs are both cutely environmentally friendly and create an unromantic and non-sexual atmosphere which is perfect for a kitchen I think these lights are amazing don't you agree?"

He stared at her in disbelief for a second, completely and utterly bewildered at the nonsense she managed to spew in such a short amount of time. Was I just shut down? He thought.
"Sure." He chuckled, and Hana took a deep breath.

"So that pretty much concludes the house tour." She sighed, leaning against the counter.
"I haven't seen your room yet." Daniel piped up, looking at her in all seriousness.
"M-my room?" She stuttered.
"Yeah. It's not a house tour without seeing the whole house." He smiled.
"Well, you see, it's kinda dirty, and uhh- yeah I don't know what's on the floor and so yeah um I don't really feel like it's an important room we could just-"

Then it clicked in Daniel's mind. She's afraid of something happening.

"Hana." Daniel interrupted her rambling nonsense.
"Yeah?" She asked timidly. He then held his hands up, palms facing her.
"I won't try anything, I promise." He told her, staring into her eyes wholeheartedly. A long, hard sigh of relief then escaped Hana's mouth, as she comically leaned onto the counter for support.

"Fuck sake Daniel." She laughed. "You could've told me earlier!" He was confused at her actions at first, whether they were good or bad, but then he instantly noticed her become much more comfortable around him, which he was glad for. She stood up, stared him in the eye and smiled.
"Right, let me just check my room and you can enter when I give the all clear, Kay?" She asked, pointing finger guns at the taller man, who laughed and nodded, watching her walk over to her bedroom door.

After a few seconds he heard an "all clear" to which he opened the door, revealing a small box-room, filled with a double bed and a small wardrobe, fairy lights hanging around the room.
"What the hell this is the cutest bedroom I've ever seen." Daniel mumbled. "But it's so small you can't even do pull ups in here."
"Oh yes because doing pull ups is my only priority." Hana retorted, smirking.

Daniel proceeded to look at the photos pinned on Hana's wall, noticing most of them were of her and Dahye, but then noticed one of two small children - a girl and a boy - the girl looking a few years older.
"Is that you?" He pointed to the girl in the photo, and she nodded.
"And that's Jihoon." She gestured to the boy. "Our parents were best friends."

"Where are your parents now?" He asked.
"They live nearer the coast." She replied. "I still see them often. What about you?"
"Busan city centre, born and raised." He smirked. "My parents still live in the same place I grew up, crazy right?"

At that moment Daniel's phone rang.
"It's Seongwoo." He chuckled, answering.
"Hell-"
"Yah! Kang Eugion!" He yelled, loud enough even Hana could hear. "You stole my bloody helmet! I'm stranded at a mall!"
"Oh shut up." Daniel replied. "I'm sure you enjoyed yourself whilst I was gone."
"I did not!" Seongwoo yelled back. "Dahye got bored and got the bus! I'm all alone!"
"Yeah, I'll drive back now."
"You better hurry your ass up." Seongwoo yelled.
"Yep, gotcha, bye now." And with that he hung up.

"That sounds like Dahye." She sighed.
"Well, I best get going." He gave Hana an apologetic smile. "It was really nice meeting you Hana."
"You too." She smiled in reply. "Text ya later?" She pointed finger guns again.
"You can bet on it homeboi." He pointed them back, forming large smiles on both their faces. Hana walked him to the door, watching as he left.

And she came to the conclusion that yes, she likes Kang Daniel, and definitely thinks Dahye was right for once. Meeting him was the best idea ever.
