the wolf had been planning ways to transport the bunny to safety without being caught. it was taking up most of his day, and he was becoming very tired and he felt very, weary because of it. but he was ambitious and determined to figure out a way for this bunny to live how he wanted. 

so, one day the bunny came home with him to talk of their plan. the wolf led the bunny down towards his house, and as they approached it, jeongguk felt a cloud of cold air travel down his skin. was this a warning?

had he followed a vicious wolf down to his den, where he ate bunnies? 

"what, you scared?" the boy without a mask asked, and how trusting those eyes looked. and how the bunny wanted to trust them with his entire being, because the wolf was kind to him, for the most part. the wolf offered something the bunny had never dreamed of before.

did this all seem too good to be true?

the wolf's mother greeted the wolf, with simple words.

"welcome home."

her voice seemed to be tampered with. it seemed like it was made of metal, robotic and devoid of emotion. she did not even look up from her book that was on the same page every day. taehyung knew the page, 15. he knew all the words, every single one of them.

although he was thought to be a quick thinker, as most would believe him to be, he was not. actually, he was not at all quick when he thought, nothing was on time and nothing planned was completed- and oh how he could go on about what's on that page. but he did not want to, for it would give him a splitting headache.

he led the bunny up the creaky stairs and into a dark hallway, and into his grey, gloomy room. it had pictures, of clouds, the grey ones.

"question, wolf-"

"it's taehyung."

"oh, okay." jeongguk smiled, slipping off his mask. "i'm jeongguk. i wasn't sure if you'd ever tell me your name or not."

"yeah, well names aren't that important." taehyung told jeongguk. "now, your question was?"

"right, when we go to the safe place, will there be color?" jeongguk asked, his face resembling a curious child who has just seen the world clearly for the first time.

"there'll be a whole rainbow waiting for you."
