Chapter 1

A.N: Hey Y'all! SO this is my first ever Reylo Fic! Fair warning! I fell in love with Kylo and Rey's relationship during the Last Jedi... So I was sitting brainstorming cute Ideas for them and I was watching the Olympics. I am a Skier and I decided to do an AU with them! I have it pretty much all written so here we go! 


Chapter 1 song recommendation - Thunder by Imagine Dragons

Rey-

  "1...2...3...4...5...6...7...8...9...10..." Rey Andor muttered through clenched teeth. She lowered then raised the heavy dumbell on her shoulders. Music poured through her earbuds. She felt sweat trickle down her back. Only twenty more. The thought alone made her grin. She enjoyed the work. It was satisfing. 

  "28...29...30..." She lowered the weight from her shoulders. Picking her water bottle up, she took a long, deep drink. Her gold iphone 6s plus buzzed next to her. She picked it up and studied the text she had recieved. It was from Leia Organa-Solo, her agent from  Resistance Sports. 

  "Reserving tickets for Breckenridge. How many?"

  "Just me." Rey responed.

"Okay. But try and make some friends." Rey smiled at the message. 

"I will." She hit send and closed her phone. 

Rey did have friends, but they were all in the agency. Her coach, Emerald Holdo, who was a freestyle legend, Finn Storm, a young snowboarder who was always dreaming of olympic gold, Poe Dameron, a Ski jumper who did not accept second, Rose Tico a Alpine Racer who was only ever wanting to go faster, and Leia Organa-Solo, Alpine Racing Royalty, who was Rey's personal agent and owner of Resistance Sports. 

  Finn and Rose were by far her closest friends, but the two had started dating recently, so now Rey spent quite a bit of her time alone. But that was fine, she was used to that. 

Another buzz came from her phone snapped her from her thoughts. She grabbed it and picked up the call. 

"Hello? This is Rey." Shoot. She had, in her haste, not checked the caller ID.

"Rey, this is Rose. " She heard her spunky friend's voice over the phone. 

"Hey. How is it going?"  Rose had taken Finn home with her to Vietnam to meet her parents. 

"It has been good. Finn is itching to get on the snow, but we have yet to make it out to the hill." Rey smiled understanding her friend's need to hit the slopes. "You are probably going to whoop us when we get back." 

"I doubt it. I am heading to America to train for a week. Some place in Colorado. It is supposed to be the best place to train for the Olympics. A long airplane ride for a week of lonelieness and skiing." She immedately regretted her words. 

  "Are you going to be okay?" Rose sounded worried. "You could always take Poe you know." 

"Fly boy?" Rey snorted. "Are you kidding me. I actually want to get some work in." The girls giggled. Poe was an amazing athlete, but he had the tendency to get distracted. Really distracted, really easily. "I will be fine. Rose, I am a twenty-one year old woman. I can take care of myself. Plus I can always call and bug you and Finn."

"Well we are here and happy to oblige." 

"Yeah right. Well I will let you get back to Finn. I have some packing to do." 

"Okay. Bye." 

Rey ended the call, grabbed her sweaty tee and water, and walked upstairs. She unlocked her apartment and walked in, flicking on the lights as she went. Her middle class apartment was filled with skiing stuff. She lived and breathed the sport. The walls were covered with posters of famous skiers. She walked into her room and stripped, she threw on a robe and turned on the shower. She glanced around her room and her gaze landed on her newest poster. It was the American Halfpipe star, and four time Olympic gold medalist, Kylo Ren. 

She walked into her bathroom and showered off. She towled off and put on her favorite pair of baggy sweat pants and tee shirt. She walked over to her closet and grabbed her black travel bag. She threw in a red blouse as well as a black one, two baggy tees, two sweatshirts, two nice shirts, and a black blazer. Next she wandered to her makeup table. She doubted she would need it but then again who knows. She grabbed mascara, lipstick, concealer, bronzer, powder, eyeliner, and eyeshadow. She went back to her closet and grabbed a pair of ankle booties and sneakers. She threw a bunch of work out clothes in and zipped her bag. 

Rey wandered to her kitchen and opened her fridge. Two, day old, slices of pizza. She thought in disgust. She devoured the pizza in twenty minutes. She hated to admit it, but she was lonely.

She crawled into bed and turned on her TV. She flipped through channels until she landed on a ski channel. She watched as the freestylers threw themselves fearlessly into the air. Then she saw him. Kylo Ren, dressed in his signature black ( Picture above), readied himself for his run. She watched as he signaled his coach, then pushed off.

Kylo-

Kylo Ren looked for the signal. His coach stood next to him. "Remember coming out of the pipe bend your knees or you will lock up."  Kylo nodded. He was used to this. Heck, he was born for this. He got the signal and pushed off. He gained speed as he neared the halfpipe. His first jump was a flawless 360 helicopter. That would gain him points for sure. Every jump he executed was a flawless work of art. Whether it was a spin or flip, he was perfect and he knew it. His run ended with the highest score of the day. 

Kylo slid into a powerful hockey stop. He pumped his fist and quickly uncliped his skis, giving his fans a wave. He pulled off his helmet and his raven black hair spilled out, perfect as though he had just brushed it. He turned his attention to the voice spilling out of the speakers. 

"In third place with a score of 94.3, Armitage Hux." Hux ascended the podium but he looked less than pleased. "In second place with a score of 96, David Wise." David took the podium after shaking Hux's hand. "And in first place with a score of 100 even, Kylo Ren!" Kylo sauntered to the podium and accepted the gold medal.  He shook Hux and David's hands, then stepped on the place marked first. Cameras flashed and people clapped.

As soon as it was over, Kylo stode over to his skis. In truth, he did not trust anyone besides himself to handle them.  His custom made, black Volkls were his prized possession and they were expensive. They were cutting edge technology and one of a kind. You could never duplicate them, unless you brought the skis to his special team at Volkl. 

Kylo picked up his skis and waved off a reporter. He just wanted to go home. His coach jogged up to him. "Nice job out there kid." Kylo bristled at the nickname. It reminded him to much of his late father. "Get some rest and meet me tomorrow for training. We will go over your work today."  Coach Snoke wandered off to answer some questions, and Kylo sighed. He walked to his Black Mustang. Not the most practical car for Colorado, but he loved it. He put his skis in the seat next to him and he folded his tall frame into the car.  He pressed the ignition and and the car reved to life. 

He sped out of the parking lot and turned towards his mansion on the ski hill in Breck. He had grown up in Vail with his parents, Han Solo and Leia Organa-Solo. He thought back to when he was growing up. His dad had been a four time olympic champion in Ski jumping, while his mother had been a Alpine racer. It was quite a surprise that his parents had ever fallen in love. Then there was his Uncle. Luke Skywalker. Five time Olympic Champion in the Halfpipe, who had followed in his father, Anakin Skywalker's footsteps to become the greatest freestyler of all time. Kylo's grandma, Padme, had been a freestyler herself and one of the most respected women in the sport. He came from Skiing royalty, if you will.

Kylo pulled into his garage. Turning off his mustang, he put his head on the steering wheel. He was Kylo Ren, halfpipe champion,  four time Olympic gold medalist, and America's newest bad boy. He did not need anyone. He slowly got out of his car and moved to pull his skis out. He walked into his house and went straight to his room. He showered them pulled on sweatpants, deciding against a shirt. This was his home, if he wanted to wander around half clothed he could. 

He walked into the huge kitchen area. With its cold, black marble counters and dark wooden floors, it was a sight to behold. He fished his phone out of his pocket. Four missed calls, twelve unread messages, and twenty seven new emails. He mentally tallied this information. He opened his phone and check the texts. Five were from his trainer Gwen Phasma, congratulating him and making sure he remembered his training session the next morning. Five more were from Snoke and two were from Hux. 

Kylo grabbed a salad from the fridge and made it up. He sat at his massive, dark marble table and ate his lonely dinner. He had considered trying to date for a while, but no one had sparked his interest. Or rather no one had liked him for him. For who he truely was. A broken man who so desperately wanted to be loved. Not for his fame or money, but him. The real Kylo. 

  He cleaned up his lonely dinner and went to bed. He would normally just roll over and fall asleep, but tonight he tossed and turned for an hour before he drifted off into a deep and dreamless slumber.
