"Why did I let her go?" Barry whispered to himself.

When he had woken up from his coma, one of the first things he had seen was her face.

Her beautiful face.

Now, he had still loved Iris of course, but that didn't mean he couldn't recognize a pretty face.

They would talk about Ronnie, about Nora, and they slowly grew closer because of that.

Then Ronnie had come back.

Surprisingly, Barry had found himself jealous.

But why?

It wasn't like Caitlin was his.

Then, Ronnie died again, and Barry was overcome with guilt.

While he pushed everyone away, Caitlin was the only one who had left without a fight.

She got a new job, stopped seeing them, etc.

It had hurt... a lot. Too much.

So Barry busied himself, praying this weird feeling would go away.

It didn't.

In fact, it only seemed to get worse.

Then Joe, Iris, and Cisco came back.

Somehow, Barry even managed to convince Caitlin to come back.

He was a little too happy about that.

Soon, Caitlin was in the arms of Jay, and that was when Barry realized it.

He was in love with her.

But he had missed his chance.

Again.

Then, Jay died. Barry figured it might be a good time, but then he saw how torn up she was.

So, he helped her.

Then Jay was back.

He was quickly gone.

Then, it just didn't work. He couldn't do it, or there was never a good moment or something.

Then it was Julian.

After he left, Caitlin swore off men.

Soon, she and Sara developed something.

This time, it lasted.

Up till marriage.

And Barry never got over it.
