"things fall apart to let us know what truly matters."

Yoongi and Helena feel content.
the two of them sit on the roof of Yoongi's (borrowed) car watching the sunset.
Helena didn't expect her boyfriend Yoongi to suggest such a remarkable idea but he did. turns out, he's a romantic- he just likes to hide it. it was his idea to take her hand, whisk her away to a view so beautifying that it made Helena question her existence.
she felt so small. there's been many times when the universe has shown her that her existence is just a small piece- still significant. this is one of those moments. when looking out from the top of the city, the lights flickered on and off across their neighbourhood. the air is quiet yet warm in the frosty season as the couple enjoy the moment.
Helena tears her gaze away from Yoongi and his side profile. his dark hair blowing in the slight wind, ruffling his after shower curls, his brown eyes that have perceived so much, his delicate hands (today he's not wearing rings). the sunset is beautiful too i guess.
"it's cold." Helena tells Yoongi. she sees the orange clouds in a blanket of coral pink reflecting back in his orbs. she notices how his hands are always cold so she snuggles closer. "stay warm." she says quietly.
"come here then." Yoongi murmurs. his tone of voice is gentle, welcoming as he opens his arms. Helena would never want to be apart from him and that's starting to scare her a little. she leans her head on his chest, sitting in front of him as he holds her tightly- nose sniffing his own hoodie on her.
"remember when you were in the female toilet." Yoongi recalls. he puts his hands in her hoodie pockets. "what were you crying about that day?"
"Jimin is my younger brother." Helena doesn't take a minute to tell Yoongi her truth of her brother. she wants to open up and share something crucial- why should she hide away?
"he gave up on being a single father and left Helia with us." Helena clasps her hands together. she doesn't feel nervous telling the story. "we haven't seen him since. he left us with a note." it's still very upsetting.
"the last time i saw him, he was happy- dancing around the kitchen, cooking and i really thought he was going to be such a beautiful father."
"he left in the middle of the night." Helena ends quietly.
"and what about..." Yoongi questions.
Helena thinks about Helia's mother. "she changed her mind."
"it went so fast. as soon as she gave birth, she begged Jimin to give Helia up for adoption. he refused, said he'd raise her if he needed to."
"i respect her decision." Helena interjects her own words. "being a women and raising a child isn't easy. i still think bringing a child into the world is a responsibility you can't just give up on." she feels conflicted, on different ends about the topic.
"it'll take me a while to forgive Jimin." Helena says out loud. her brother that she misses everyday. "he could've tried but he never did ... he never even gave Helia a chance."
"he's lucky his siblings were here." Yoongi says, wanting Helena to know he's been listening.
"me and Namjoon will always be here for Helia." Helena confirms. that's a promise they'll never break.
"don't you think you should tell Helia eventually?" Yoongi looks into the distance. the story is sad to him, realistic but miserable.
"i don't know." Helena lets out a dry laugh. she's thought about it before, with Namjoon too. they don't think it's a great idea at a young age.
"lying to her isn't ideal." Yoongi speaks his honest thoughts.
"but what would be the point?" Helena sighs loudly. Jimin isn't going to come back for the family he didn't want or need apparently.
"there's always a point love." Yoongi holds Helena closer.
