Yoongi groans in frustration, hair running through his fingertips. "yeah we finally interacted and i'm sure she hates me now." he replies to his best friend, gazing at him briefly.

he finally interacted with Helena and what did he do? he messed it up.

"why do you act like that then?" Jungkook states, voice and words not clear because he's too busy eating snacks. crumbs down his front, around his mouth as he eats his true love- food.

"i can't hear you." Yoongi shakes his head, brushing away the tortilla crumbs like any good best friend would. "your whole mouth is full of snacks, you idiot." which isn't new at all.

"sorry." Jungkook mumbles again, eyes wide with naivety. despite them knowing each other for so long, Yoongi still doesn't understand Jungkook when his mouth is full of food.

"just give this to me." Yoongi snatches the snacks off him.

"i'm telling you dude, we all hate our crushes at first." Jungkook reassures Yoongi. he's supporting, helpful and cheerful but he kind of just wants his snacks back. "she'll come around. this is the first time you've even talked."

"i'm an idiot right?" Yoongi can't contain himself. his feelings are all over the place. this whole morning has been a mess. the embarrassment he's faced is enough for him to use as an excuse to run away to Madagascar.

"that, you are." Jungkook smiles and takes his snacks back.

"i'm older than you."
