28: All the Luck I Can Get

Elsa's Pov

It has been three months since we moved here. I guess this is a break record for not causing anymore trouble. I do not know when I am going to keep this secret till to the world, but hopefully until the day I die. Nobody else must know. Nobody.

My hands smoothen out my naturally curled hair at my desk. I picked up my blue velvet gloves lying in front of me and carefully put them on.

"Baby girl, it's time to go." Mom's voice came from my bedroom door, "Elsa." Her eyes looked at my gloves.

"Coming, Mom." I smiled at her reflection in the mirror.

"Honey, are you sure you want to do this?" She shifted beside me resting her hands on my shoulders.

"I'm positively sure. Mom, I'm doing for my friends, my school and most importantly, for you guys. I won't let you down again."

"Baby girl, you have never let me down."

That put a small smile on my face.

After gathering my bags, Mom, Dad and Lucas followed me down our apartment, where my friends waited.

As the lift doors opened, I saw my friends already at the drop-off point, standing beside a cranberry SUV.

"Good luck, darling," Mom and Dad hugged me tightly.

"Good luck out there, sis," Lucas gave his big brother hug to me.

"Thanks. You too." I hugged him back.

"For what?" He sounded surprise.

"Oh, you know." I smirked.

I didn't bother waiting for his response as I left my family's arms, walking into the heat.

I am leaving my family to make history. This will be my only chance to make my family proud. Give them the daughter and sister they deserve to have. The thought of leaving them —and my friends— for two weeks honestly scares me a little.

Liv's POV

"Elsa!" Mike pointed out as Elsa's silhouette emerged from her apartment building.

"You ready?" I asked.

"Always." She answered back.

"Let's go." Mike insisted.

I climbed into the driver's seat of our SUV, not giving my friends a chance to argue about driving. Somehow, they don't really trust my driving skills. Peter had left the keys in the ignition, and I started the car right away.

"Hop in," I called out to the half-open window. "Hurry up or it'll be midnight before we get there."

"Chill," Peter grumbled, opening the passenger-seat door. Elsa and Mike loaded the trunk. "Look, Liv. When my mother said we could use her car, she didn't know you'd be driving it..."

"And she never needs to know," I said, revving the engine as my other two friends climbed into the back seat. "Don't worry, Grandpa. I'll be careful."

Soon, we were speeding towards Beverley Hills.

On the driveway, I took a glance at the back seat to see how's E doing. She plugged in her headphones and started bobbing her head.

"What cha listening to?" I questioned.

Removing her headphones, she sighed, "MP3. Kate gave it to me. It's got all the best song writers and their best music. It's amazing... and depressing."

I recall back a Kate Elsa mentioned. I think she is the same Kate who works at Topanga's.

"She's trying to motivate you." Mike suggested.

"Ain't working. Listen to these. I could never do anything near this. These... these people all have something to say."

"Well you only know that because they went ahead and said it." Peter looked back at Elsa.

"You know? Some day, you're gonna make someone a wonderful fortune cookie." Elsa stated before immersing herself back into her headphones.
