21: Snowy Alley
Elsa's POV
The following day, I had promised my friends to show them a few tricks up my sleeves, so we decided to meet up at the alleyway later that night.
"Are you ready?" I asked.
"We were born ready!" Mike affirmed. All of us couldn't help but rolled our eyes.
I slipped my hands out of my velvet gloves and gently placed them on the ground. "Okay. Here goes." I called.
I didn't need to close my eyes, but it helped me concentrate. Then, unreadable words flung in my mind. I focused on what I was going to do, with my body full of energy. Right then and there, I opened my eyes and chatted," Iceperio!"
Blue icicles shot out from my bare hands. It worked like a charm.
I took a moment of silence. Aside from my family, this was the first time had ever showed my powers voluntarily to anyone. To be frank, I wasn't absolutely sure how well my first time was going to turn out.
There stood a beautiful sculpture of a snowflake, just like my pendant. The crystal clear ice sculpture was so pretty and we all could see the small details of the snowflake.
Looking at my work, I definitely could have done better than that. The small details I paid attention to were the tiny cracks between the ice that connected to one another. And then there's parts of the ice that was a little bit deformed. But my friends comment said otherwise.
"E! That's.... amazing!" Liv screamed.
"I... I don't know what to say...." Peter astounded.
"How about: wonderful?" Liv astounded.
"Now that's the word that I'm looking for right now." Mike cut in, his eyes glued at the sight of the ice sculpture.
"You really think so?" I asked hopefully. "I mean the sculpture isn't at all perfect... there's cuts around it and—"
"Elsa." Mike said in all seriousness, "In case you didn't know this, all snowflakes comes in different shapes and sizes. Let alone an ice sculpture of it. This right here, is a very unique one. The cracks in it adds all to the uniqueness."
The way he said that... I didn't know the proper word for it. It sent a blush to my face, and I nodded my head in a tiny bow to cover it.
In the next few hours, we all had fun. I created different sculptures while they tried guessing it and we made that into a game. They even went on to build their own snowman with my snow. I often did it by myself, but now it's even better to share the fun with my friends. And the best part was, by the next morning, the ice and snow would melt, clearing all evidences away.
I came home late at night, exhausted. My body felt numb, low of energy because all of it was used by my magic. And my stomach ached because of how much I had laughed at my friends' creativeness and silliness. Yet, all the side effects went buried under the grin I have on my face.
