"Is it really necessary for me to get a car, John? Like I said I don't have a license," Whitney shut up when she looks at John. She knows that he won't hurt her, but she doesn't want to make him angry either.

"I want you to have a car so that you have some independence. You won't be needing my permission or Michael's to leave. I don't want you to feel like you have to stay at the mansion. There is no reason for you to do so. I would like you to let me know when you leave and where so that if you need assistance of some sort I can get there or at least get some men there. If you would, I would like you to tell me about what time you expect to come home, so I don't have to keep bothering you with texts and what not. You will be a target since you are my girlfriend.

"Because of that I would like to leave in the tracking device in you, if that is alright?" John says not letting her leave the safety of his hold.

Whitney had known of the tracking device. All the elite whores had one. It is the reason they were trusted to leave the confines of the house unguarded. No matter where they went they would be found and then beaten.

Whitney shudders at the memory of the one whore that had tried leaving. They brought her back and beat her to death in front of the rest of them so they wouldn't do it themselves. As far as Whitney is concerned it was more than effective.

"Hey, it's okay. If you want to have it removed we can do that. I just don't want you taken from me and not be able to find you again." John tells her softly.

"No, it's fine. I was just remembering about the last time one of us tried to run. They brought her back and brutally beat and well by the time she was allowed alone she was nearly dead and didn't take her long to die afterwards."

John just holds her and waits until he feels her calm down before letting her go. He wipes away her tears before releasing her.

"You having a car is necessary for your independence. You aren't a slave anymore and I want you to feel the freedom. You already have an appointment on Wednesday at the DMV to get your license."

Whitney looks at him nonplussed. "I don't have the documentation to get my license." She whispers not wanting to make him more upset. She can't help the feeling of needing to flinch away from him.

Seeing this John takes a moment to calm down. "I'm sorry, Whitney. I don't mean to make you afraid of me. I do have some anger triggers. I promise to work on it. I won't hurt you."

"I know, I didn't mean to flinch, just reaction, I'm sorry." Whitney does her best to reassure John but she isn't able to make her voice go very loud. She really isn't scared of him, but she doesn't like making him feel bad and she knows that her actions did.

John isn't so sure just how he should react, but he hesitantly goes over to her and pulls her into his arms. He makes sure that he moves slowly to give her time to move if she doesn't want it. He holds her gently. "It's not your fault, Whitney, love, my father knows how to beat into people how they should act. He did a real number on you for years. It's my fault for not controlling my temper. There is no excuse for that." John pulls back and gently frames her face, capturing her eyes he says, "I won't hurt you, you know that, right."

Whitney places her hands on his, holding them on her face. "Of course I do. I really didn't want to flinch away from you, that's my fault."

"No, it's never your fault. This was taught to you and will take some time to unlearn, you might never do so. It was literally beat into you to be like that. Please, don't take this on you."

Whitney just lets him hold her and soon she starts to relax in his hold.

"You can get any kind of car you want. We can and likely will make modifications to the car."

"I can get a street car? I enjoyed racing when I was on the one mission." Whitney asks with brighter eyes than she has had for most of the morning.

John smiles, amused at her enthusiasm for street racing. "No, not this time. We will be putting in a stronger engine, but we will also be adding weight to your car, making it bullet proof. Later, if you are still interested I'll talk to Michael and see about getting you a street car and sponsoring you as our driver."

"Really?" Whitney smiles blindingly at John's words. She was good, but she never expected to actually have a sponsor for the street racing.

"Sure, but you will likely have to pass some sort of test. Not sure how that works. That is something Michael was over though, so he'll tell you what you'll need to do."

Whitney is more excited than before about the possibility and so goes in happily to the car dealership. She looks around but isn't very impressed with the cars that she's seeing.

"I don't like any of them." She tells John as they finish the walk about the room.

"How can I help you folks?" A salesman says coming up to them.

"I'm not sure that you can," John says hesitantly. "We're looking for a car for my girlfriend, but she's not seeing anything that she likes on the floor."

"Well we did just recently receive a shipment in, it hasn't been put on the floor yet. Would you like to take a look at them?"

John looks at Whitney before she gives a nod and so John does as well.

The salesman takes them behind the doors and shows them the newest cars to arrive.

Immediately Whitney sees the car that she wants, but the color is wrong.

"That one," Whitney points to the one that she wants. They all move over to the car that she's pointing to.

"It's a manual five speed. It goes from zero to ninety in just ten seconds."

John smirks, "Nice selling point. It would be illegal to go those speeds around here."

The salesman blushes, "Forgive me, I didn't think that would be a problem."

Whitney looks at the man curiously, "Do we have a rebel kind of vibe going?"

The man blushes even more, "Yeah, actually, I feel that you wouldn't have a problem breaking the speed limits."

Whitney laughs with this and even John breaks into a smile at his words. "Well you are right. I would like to take this car for a drive. I prefer stick over automatic so that won't be a problem."

Within a short time Whitney is sitting behind the wheel of the car, John in the passenger seat. The salesman cautions them to not go very far.

Whitney is pleased with how the car handles and it doesn't take her long to decide that she likes the car. "The car is great, it's just not the color I want."

John shrugs, "We can customize the paint job when we customize the car. That won't be a problem."

"Very well, I'll let you guys buy me this one."

John takes out his phone and makes a call, warning Michael to clear the purchase so there won't be a problem when they run the card.

John listens to Michael for a bit then hangs up as they are pulling into the car dealership. "Michael's pleased that you found a car that you like."

"Good, I wish you guys would stop spoiling me like this. It's starting to make me uncomfortable. Now that we found the car that Michael wanted me to get, can we go home?" Whitney asks rubbing her foot. It's been a long day and she's been on her feet for the majority of it.

"One more stop, you still need to get a prom dress, and I would like for you to get at least one evening dress. Preferably more since I will be going to several high social events and I'd like for you to come with me. But I would especially like it if you would get one for tonight. I'd like to take you to dinner at the restaurant at the hotel we'll be staying in tonight."

"Are you asking me on a date, John?" Whitney asks him smiling.

John lightly blushes, "Yeah, but I have to warn you, Michael might be joining us tonight."

Whitney stills, raises one eye brow, "Michael will be joining us?"

Now John does blush much darker. "Yeah, he's finishing up the work for today. He needs to get away from the house. He'll be bringing me clothes for tonight and some for himself if it's alright with you for him to join us?"

Whitney shrugs, "I'm your girlfriend, if you want your brother to join us on our date that will make things a bit tense, but I won't be saying anything."

"What do you mean, tense?" John asks as they move inside the dealership. The salesman comes to them before Whitney can answer.

Once they assure the salesman that they like the car. The salesman gives them the price and they talk about that for a bit before John takes out the credit card that Michael had given Whitney to use that she wouldn't accept. As the salesman takes the card to run it, John turns to Whitney for an answer to his question.

"I'm your girlfriend, but I'm his mistress. We all have a definite attraction to each other. There will be high sexual tension and it will make it difficult to relax and learn more about each other. But I don't have a problem with it. I would like to have a date with you without Michael. After all I am your girlfriend."

"We will, I promise," John tells her as the salesman comes back to them. He hands them back the card and has them go over some papers and sign.

"The car will be ready next week." John had had them makes some alterations before they bought the car.

"Good enough, thank you." John says shaking the man's hand then Whitney does the same.

"I don't like him," Whitney tells John as they leave the dealership.

"We won't have to deal with him again." John soothes her as they get into the limo that pulls up to pick them up and take them to their last stop before the hotel.

"Michael?" Whitney says once she enters the car and her eyes adjust to the darkness of the interior.

"Hello, love. Have fun today?"
