Will laid in bed snoring quietly. his guardian/boyfriends holoform laid beside him, snoring louder than him. asleep or not, his scanners were always on and running. he was a guardian after all, his first priority was Will, so when one of his scanners went off at 3 AM, the holoform immediately jumped from the bed. Will jerked awake and mumbled.

"H-Hide?" Will mumbled.

"somethings setting my scanners off." Ironhide muttered. Will rubbed his eye's and got up out of bed.

"what is it?" Will ask.

"I'm not sure." Ironhide muttered heading downstairs. Will followed him quickly. he opened the front door, it was freezing outside. Will shivered silently and smiled as he saw little white flakes slowly fall to the ground. "that is setting off my scanners.... is it ash?" Ironhide ask, looking at Will. Will chuckled at the man.

"no Hide, it's snow." Will said.

"snow?" Ironhide ask, frowning.

"yeah. frozen water that falls from the sky." Will smiled, looking up at the sky. he shivered again, his breath visible. since Ironhide's holoform didn't need to breath, he didn't have little puffs of air coming out of his mouth.

"what is that your doing?" Ironhide ask.

"my breath. it's cold out here." Will shivered. "lets go back inside. it's really early and I'm still tired.... you going to be okay to recharge through this?" Will ask.

"my sensors don't like it." Ironhide said.

"would it be better if you were inside the house?" Will ask.

"I'm not sure." Ironhide said.

"well, it's warmer in the house anyway." Will said. he walked over and opened the garage type door attached to the house then opened the garage, stepping out of the path of his guardian. "come on in Hide." Will smiled. Ironhide rolled out of the garage.

"Primus. it's freezing." Ironhide said. Will chuckled and let him in the house, closing both doors. the truck in front of his shivered slightly. Cybertronians didn't really like the cold.

"need a blanket Hide?" Will teased slightly. Ironhide growled at him.

"shut up." he muttered. Will laughed slightly and went to turn up the heat, to keep his guardian warm. he yawned and headed upstairs quickly. he came back down with a blanket.

"lemme in." Will mumbled. Ironhide opened his back door and let Will climb in. he shut the door behind him, letting Will curl up. the man sighed happily and curled up under his blanket, the seat under him warming immediately. "mmm." Will sighed happily. Ironhide's holoform laid behind him, holding him gently.

"happy?" Ironhide ask. Will nodded and yawned quietly, curling up in his arms.

"mmhmm. you warm?" Will murmured.

"yes." Ironhide said. Will nuzzled into the seat and sighed happily, slowly falling asleep. Ironhide rubbed his cheek gently, kissing his head. "rest Will." Ironhide murmurs settling down. Will yawned and curled up.

"only if you promise to play in the snow with me later." Will murmured.

"play in the snow?" Ironhide huffed. Will nodded against his seat.

"please?" Will ask.

"we'll see." Ironhide nodded. Will snuggled into the holoforms chest and sighed happily. Ironhide watched over him as he fell asleep, before settling down into recharge.

*next morning*

Ironhide jerked awake when Will opened his back door. he shifted on his tires. his holoform looked at Will confused.

"Will?" Ironhide muttered.

"sorry Hide." Will said, heading upstairs. the Autobot mumbled and settled back down into recharge. he jerked awake again as Will came running down the stairs. he looked confused, watching his human lover come bounding down the stairs, bundled up. Will opened the front door and headed outside.

"Will it's 8 AM and it's negative 10 outside." Ironhide said.

"I'm going out to play in the snow." Will grinned. Ironhide sighed, his holoform getting out.

"hold on." Ironhide muttered, his holoforms clothes changing. Will watched him then headed back upstairs. he came back down with two jackets, a pair of gloves, a long sleeve shirt, two pairs of pants, and a thick pair of socks. he threw them at Ironhide.

"here." Will grinned. Ironhide sighed and pulled the clothing on.

"my holoform doesn't get cold." Ironhide said.

"humor me." Will smiled. Ironhide grumbled and followed him, his large boots thumping across the floor. he sighed.

"okay I'm dressed." Ironhide muttered. Will grinned and grabbed his hand, pulling him outside. Ironhide paused, looking around. there was a fresh blanket of untouched snow. it was beautiful honestly. he watched Will flop backwards into the snow, right off the porch. "uh..." Ironhide trailed.

"snow angel!" Will laughed, waving his arms and legs. Ironhide looked at him confused, clearly thinking he was crazy. the man got up and looked down, grinning. "lets build a snow man." Will said.

"Will, the snow is prettier like this. can't we just leave it?" Ironhide ask

"absolutely not!" Will said running off the porch. Ironhide sighed and followed him. he smiled slightly as he and Will built a snow man. it was fun. Will even ran inside to get a few things. a hat, a scarf, and stuff to make a face. Ironhide laughed slightly, the snow man looked amazing honestly. he stood back and admired it a moment, before something hit him in the back. he turned looking confused. Will grinned at him.

"what was that?" Ironhide ask. Will laughed and scooped up some more snow and threw it at him. it thumped the man in the chest and fell apart. "why are you doing this?" Ironhide ask.

"snow ball fight." Will grinned.

"a what?" Ironhide ask. Will chuckled.

"a snow ball fight Ironhide." Will smiled. Ironhide blinked at him. WIll smiled and scooped up some snow, packing it into a ball, he held it out to Ironhide. "take some snow, make a ball, and throw it." Will grinned. Ironhide looked confused but did as Will said. he smiled and pulled back, throwing the ball at Ironhide. it hit the man in the face. Ironhide pulled back and threw the snow ball hard. Will yelped as it knocked his hat off, knocking him over. Will groaned lowly. "Ironhide, it's a game. you're not supposed to hurt people." Will murmured. Ironhide walked over and helped him up.

"sorry." Ironhide said. Will grabbed his hat and smiled slightly.

"it's all good." Will smiled. they played a bit in the snow before Ironhide frowned. he looked at Will. the man was shivering and his face was changing colors.

"you're cold. we need to go back inside, before you get sick." Ironhide said. Will shivered a little and nodded, heading for the house.

"yeah... it's cold out here." Will murmured. his clothes were wet with melted snow and he couldn't feel his fingers anymore. Ironhide followed him inside. Will shivered, shedding his soaked clothing as he headed for the down stairs bathroom. he threw all his clothes, except his boxers, and threw them in the bath tub. he shivered and headed upstairs. Ironhide threw his wet clothes into the tub as well.

"you okay?" Ironhide ask.

"do you know how to make hot chocolate?" Will called. Ironhide was silent, looking it up.

"hot water and a chocolate powder mix." Ironhide said.

"disgusting. no. you're wrong. only weirdo's use water in their hot chocolate. use milk instead." Will called. Ironhide chuckled slightly in amusement and started making some hot chocolate for him. Will put on some warm PJ's, covered in cute little teddy bears picked out by his daughter, and headed down stairs. Ironhide had a cup of hot chocolate on the table in the living room. "yes. best boyfriend." Will cheered, walking over to the couch. Ironhide chuckled slightly walking over with the blanket from his back seat, sitting beside him on the couch. Will cuddled to Ironhide happily as the holoform turned on the tv. "thank you." Will murmured.

"of course." Ironhide chuckled, kissing his head. Will sipped his hot chocolate happily and cuddled to Ironhide. Ironhide smiled propping his feet up on the table, arm around Will's shoulders happily. it was cold out, but warm inside and the two were happy to curl up together. there was nothing Will wanted to do more than just curl up with Ironhide and watch movies. until Ironhide stiffened. Will looked up at him, the far away look in his eye's told Will all he needed to know. he sighed slightly, someone was comming Ironhide, moment ruined. the man sighed and dropped his head back, groaning.

"Hide?" Will ask.

"Optimus needs my help on the base." Ironhide said. Will sighed and stood.

"alright, let me get dressed in something warm." Will muttered. Ironhide smiled slightly.

"you could just wear those." Ironhide said, motioning to his lovers PJ's.

"cute, but no." Will said. Ironhide chuckled. he headed upstairs, returning after a few minutes. he was wearing a long sleeve t-shirt and a pair of sweat pants, carrying a smaller blanket. he put on his usual boots, wrapping them in plastic bags.

"whats with the bags?" Ironhide ask. Will just smiled at him slightly. he looked at his hot chocolate and shook his head. what a waste. he headed for the kitchen, there was no way in hell he'd take a drink into Ironhide unless it was just water. water was easier to clean up. "if you have a cup with a lid you can bring that with you." Ironhide offered.

"do you remember the coffee accident?" Will ask. the truck shuttered.

"of course." Ironhide muttered. Will dumped the hot chocolate into the sink.

"not happening." Will deadpanned. he opened the door and let Ironhide out. he closed up the house, locking everything, and climbed into his guardian, pulling the bags from his shoe's and tossing them into the snow, to pick them up later. he didn't want the snow melting in his beloved guardian. "just be careful okay?" Will ask. Ironhide grunted as he backed out of the drive way. "and watch for black ice." Will added.

"ice changes color?" Ironhide ask. Will chuckled.

"heh, no. well... not really. black ice is ice that blends in with the road. its super dangerous." Will warned.

"I'll keep a scanner looking for it." Ironhide said. Will cuddled into the blanket he brought with him. "you know I'll keep you warm Will." Ironhide assured.

"yeah but its harder for you to keep us both warm. just focus on yourself. I got a blanket. try not to freeze." Will assures. his guardian was silent but did put more energy towards keeping himself warm, though he kept an eye on Will's temperature. Ironhide did activate his holoform, underneath Will of course, and held the man. it was an attempt to help keep him warm as well. Will chuckled slightly. "focus on the road Hide, I'm fine." Will assured. Ironhide frowned at him, but his holoform disappeared.

"just trying to keep you warm." Ironhide grumbled.

"I know. I appreciate it." Will said, nuzzling against the seat. "but I'll be fine with a little cold as long as you're watching the road." Will murmured. Ironhide could sense Will was extremely worried about the possibility of a wreck and decided to simply do as he ask. he slid a little and the man in his cab stiffened. "Hide?" Will squeaked.

"it's fine. I'm fine. I uh... I discovered black ice." Ironhide muttered as they slid. "on the bright side, there are no other cars coming form what my sensors say, but the snow is messing with them." Ironhide grumbled, finally managing to get some traction. Will relaxed slightly. "just relax Will. it's okay." Ironhide assured. Will nodded slightly and watched the road. things passing his window seemed to slow slightly, Ironhide clearly hadn't liked sliding and was taking better precautions.

it was a long ride to the base, but the moment Ironhide could see the base he sighed in relief. he rolled in and transformed. there were large heaters everywhere.

"Primus, it's fragging cold in here." Ironhide said, putting Will down. the man shivered a little, blanket wrapped around himself tightly.

"good. I'm cold." Will muttered, heading to sit in front of one of the smaller human sized heaters. Ironhide looked at him and frowned, scooping him back up. "hey! no!" Will cried. Ironhide chuckled and warmed his servo gently, Will pressed against his chest plates. the man almost immediately melted and sighed quietly.

"I told you I could warm you up." Ironhide said. Will grumbled and cuddled him.

"didn't Optimus need your help?" Will ask. Ironhide nodded slightly looking for a place to put his charge, that would keep him warm. he spotted Sam shivering slightly on the couch and decided the two would be better off warming up with each other. he walked over to the teen, who looked up confused and shivering, and plopped Will beside him.

"keep warm, I'll be back." Ironhide said, patting Wills head. Will opened his blanket immediately, letting the teen in.

"fuck yes, you're a god send." Sam shivered, cuddling up into the blanket.

"what is that warmth coming from your stomach?" Will ask, pulling back some. Sam pulled out a heating pad.

"Ratchet gave me this. they're trying to set the base up for winter." Sam shivered. "its the only reason I'm not a frozen block of ice." Sam added. Will cuddled him and they wrapped the blanket around them tighter.

"mind if I join?" Epps ask. they looked up and nodded him over. "I brought a bigger blanket." Epps said. his blanket was big enough to wrap the three up and with Wills blanket and Sams heating pad, they might actually get some warmth. the three cuddled together and waited silently for their guardians to come back.

Bumblebee came back first, looking utterly surprised at the three humans. he frowned and sat down, scooping them all up and warming them gently.

"the base should warm up soon." Bumblebee assures. they cuddled the yellow Autobot happily.

"you guys gonna stay?" Sam ask, looking at Will and Epps. "at the base tonight I mean." Sam added.

"you kidding? Jazz and I are going ice skating." Epps grinned. they looked over at Will, who shivered slightly.

"I'm going home to curl up with a cup of hot chocolate and a movie. like I was doing before Ironhide got the com to come up here." Will said.

"why'd you come with then?" Sam ask. Will just looked at him blankly a moment.

"we're talking about the Autobot who thought he could out run a tornado, and you just expected me to stay home when there is black ice all over the road? why so he can try and out run a wreck? I don't think so." Will said. Sam nodded slightly.

"yeah that would be pretty dumb." Sam muttered. he cuddled to his guardian happily.

"Ironhide's on his way to get you Will. Optimus said no humans will be staying on base until we get the heat up and running full time. it's not safe for you guys." Bumblebee said.

"I kinda agree. the temperature is gonna drop at night even more and we'd risk getting sick." Will said. Bumblebee nodded in agreement.

"come on Will. it's snowing again." Ironhide grumbled. Will got up with his blanket.

"later guys." Will said, holding his blanket tightly. Ironhide scooped him up gently.

"it's getting colder." Ironhide muttered.

"yeah come on." Will shivered. Ironhide transformed around him and headed out of the base. Will cuddled into the seat, shivering a little. Ironhide warmed him up, watching the road. he was careful, he didn't want to slid again, especially with Will falling asleep in his front seat. "what do you want to do when we get home?" Ironhide ask.

"curl up with some hot chocolate and watch some movies." Will murmured. Ironhide kept driving. when they got close to the house his holoform activated and started making Will some hot chocolate. if thats all he wanted to do, then thats what they would do. relax and watch tv with hot chocolate. he pulled into the house, using his holoform to close the door. Will shifted slightly and yawned. "Hide?" he mumbled.

"we're home." Ironhide said. Will yawned and stretched.

"thanks... sorry." Will murmured, getting out. the holoform was waiting for him, cup in hand. "hmm?" Will ask.

"you said you wanted to curl up with a cup of hot chocolate and watch movies. I made hot chocolate." Ironhide said, offering the cup. Will broke out in a tired smile, blanket wrapped around him.

"aww thanks Hide." Will smiled, taking the cup. he sighed happily at the steam blowing over his face. Ironhide smiled slightly at him and nodded to towards the couch. Will followed him and curled up with him on the couch. "thanks Hide." Will said, cuddling him. they took up their position from hours earlier. wrapped in the blanket, cuddled to each other and relaxing. it was cold and Ironhide hated the cold, but for Will, the snow was tolerable.
