nine. my girl!
chapter nine, my girl!
PAISLEY WAS READY FOR LYDIA'S bar mitzvah, dressed in a short black dress with silver heels. A buzz from her phone was heard as she walked over to her nightstand. Looking at the screen, her mouth curved into a smile as she answered the phone. "Hello?"
"Hey, Lili. My mom's car is outside."
"I'm coming outside now." She ended the call and quickly grabbed a small purse with some lipgloss, tissue, and other items. As she walked downstairs, Andy was by the staircase. "Hey, Andy." The boy stood there in awe, clearing his throat. "Hi, Lili. You look really pretty."
Paisley felt butterflies in her stomach as she wore a smile. "Thanks. You look nice too." She gently grabbed Andy's hand, leading him to the door. "Bye, Mom! Bye, Dad! I'll see you guys later!"
"Bye, baby! Send us pictures!"
"I will!" Paisley closed the door behind her as she and Andy made their way to his parents' car. "Hi, Mrs. and Mrs. Goldfarb." she greeted as she entered the backseat. "Hi, Paisley. Are you excited for Lydia's party?"
"Yeah, I am." As the car drove off, Andy glanced at the girl next to him. He was still pretty happy about them confessing their feelings for each other the other day. He was just waiting for her to talk to him about becoming more than friends but only when she felt like it was time to. "Is there something wrong, Andy?" The said boy broke out of his thoughts, looking at the girl. "No, nothing is wrong. You're just really pretty and I can't help but look at you."
Paisley smiled as she linked her hand with his, "You're really sweet, you know that?" Andy's cheeks turned pink, giving her hand a gentle squeeze. "Well, I'm only that way for you." The girl next to him whispered, "Also about what you asked me the other day, I think I'm ready to be your girlfriend."
"So I'm officially your boyfriend?" Paisley smiled at him, nodding her head. "Yes, you are. And I'm officially your girlfriend?"
"Yes, you are. You know, Paisley Goldfarb has a nice ring to it, don't you think?" Paisley felt butterflies in her stomach again, laying her head on his shoulder. "It does."
ANDY'S MOMS EVENTUALLY DROPPED THEM OFF at Lydia bar mitzvah as him and Paisley, along with his grandma, went inside. Andy pushed his grandma's wheelchair towards a table, helping her sit in a chair. He then pulled out a chair, "Your chair awaits you, my girl." Paisley giggled as she sat down and Andy pushed it into the table. The boy sat next to her, holding her hand.
Long story short, Lydia's party was ruined but they couldn't cancel it due to the amount of money her parents paid for it. Paisley, Malia, and Lucas were singing and dancing together to whatever song was playing at the moment. "So I saw that you and Andy were holding hands. Spill!" Malia stated as Paisley laughed. "Me and him confessed to each other the other day at school and I told him that I wanted to be his girlfriend in his moms' car."
"Congrats, Paze. You deserve it." Lucas nodded as he twirled Malia around, "It's about time you two got together. We were waiting for it to happen."
"But how are you feeling about your crush on you know who?" Lucas smiled, "I'm feel good, actually. I think I'm gonna ask Stacy to dance with me."
"Good for you, dude." Mateo walked up to the trio, waving at them. "Hey, guys!"
"Hi, Mateo." the three of them said. Paisley noticed Malia's cheeks were slightly pink, nudging her. "Hey, Mateo. Would you like to dance with me?"
"Sure!" The boy took her hand as the two danced together. "How do they not see that they both have feelings for each other?" Lucas asked as Paisley shrugged her shoulders. "I don't know." Andy covered her eyes as a giggle escaped her lips. "Hey, Andy."
"How did you know it was me?"
"You always do this. But do you want to dance?" Andy smiled as he took her hands in his, "Sure." As the two danced together, Andy looked into her eyes. She was finally his girlfriend, his girl. He could proudly say that now, I mean he waited for a while to confess to her. Sure, he dated some girls in the past but with Paisley, it was different. He knew that her favorite color was purple, she liked the taste of brownies, and her favorite movies were the Princess and the Frog and Tangled. He knew her for years and remembered many things about her. He felt like himself when he was around her and he was always going to have feelings for her.
Because Andy Goldfarb was always going to fall for Paisley West and Paisley West was always going to fall for Andy Goldfarb.
